Our man's sick - and still pushing through like a champ! 👍
It’s a tough job. He has to power through!!!
Hey, one question, is it like a Slim Jim?
Snap it to a Slim Jim
I believe he mentioned that.
that last one was the one! could see it in your expression. thanks!
Chris, we are so surprised to hear this - we have already reached out to Sarge's to look into it because this description is not what we ever hear our customers use. We have many different hot dog styles that dog lovers seek out all over the country and pride ourselves on crafting quality hot dogs.
We apologize for what you experienced during your tasting because that is not representative of the quality or brand our family worked hard to grow. Our umami flavor to the beefy butcher dog should be light and buttery with a hint of garlic and natural sweetness from the onion and a touch of natural maplewood smoke - that does not sound at all like what you got at your visit, and we truly apologize.
We have many different styles of naturally smoked wieners, from natural cased to skinless, some meant to be griddled or done as dirty water dogs, some coarse ground and some fully emulsified. All are without artificial flavors, additives, gluten, or MSG, and all are very subjective across different regions of the US. But none are supposed to taste like your description!
We love your videos and would appreciate the chance to make it right by sending you a free care package of all our hot dog styles because what you tasted is not a true representation of what we make or what many people love from east coast to west coast.
We will be reaching out to you directly as well and appreciate your time.
Sincerely,
Ralph Perrazzo
Owner of Snap-O-Razzo
Ralph, you are a class act in how you handled Chris's review. I wish all owners were like you.
Still looks like a pass for me…..😢
I heard the pigeons didn’t even eat it…….😂
See entrepreneurs, this is how you respond. Well done.
@snaporazzo, gal from Las Vegas here. We discovered your dogs in our local Smiths and they are nothing short of amazing! To anyone watching this video, please don’t be afraid to give them a try. Great snap and the best taste, hands down! As long as they make em’, we’ll be buying em’!! 💕
What I like about this channel is the walks in the city. Can't wait to get up there again for The Beat at The Beacon in October. LOVE NYC!
Money's no object instant fix !!! 👍
Life's flashing over a deer dog 🤣
Enjoy the simple things in life 😊
I would have gotten a frank on a bun 5.95 and put the free pickle and coleslaw on it 😁
Those pickles +++ slaw look bomb 💥
Or, I would buy a 12 pack of gourmet dawgs & buns for under $10, and make my own at home!
Oh my god , yo that coleslaw. What a great idea 😊
Interesting content.....enjoyable simple ...bravo sir
If you ever get down to the Richmond, VA area, try a Sailor Sandwich. It's hot pastrami, grilled knackwurst, melted Swiss cheese and hot mustard on rye bread. So, not a hot dog, but I think you'd like it.
That sounds great.
That sounds like a polish sandwich with extra steps 😂
@@RayQ101 I like that! The Sailor Sandwich dates back to 1929, according to the story. I think it's just one of those good ideas that multiple people had in different places, with local variations. 😋
The pastrami one looked amazing
Chris after you go to tonys you must stop by Dickie Dee's in Newark, NJ ,,, DICKIE Dees is the place that made the first ever Italian hot dog,,,you will not be disappointed!
No. Jimmy Buff’s was first. 1932. Dickie Dees was a copycat. They started in 1958.
Dog with potato salad on top sounds good.
Prices are crazy even for New York lol.
I grilled hot dogs in my backyard for Easter......
Chris if you really love hot dogs off a truck ,,, you must try Tony's Hotdog Truck in Newark, NJ on park ave ,,,, they have the BEST home made hot ONIONS in the world and awesome chili,, you will not be disappointed!
ua-cam.com/video/_jdrEy9bYEA/v-deo.html
I will check it out
@@NYCHotDogStands enjoy the home made onions 🌶
💗
God you have a great job food looks gorgeous great review
Bruh , give me a regular dog. Wth is a umami?
That's how it usually is: The silly expensive things are shit and the more affordable dogs are Great.
Chris have you ever tried chris red hots hot dogs?
On the list.
@@NYCHotDogStands i would rate chris red hots below Tony's Hotdog Truck
I've seen a few people eat at this deli and all of them didn't have good things to say about this place
Have you tried Chris red hots?
I lived several years in Rhode Island and was just wondering if you've tried their NY system weiners? The gold standard in my opinion. 👍
Take a shot every time he says slim jim
Make sure you're not driving after.
What you just paid, I'm going to buy five packs of Nathan's Hot dogs in the supermarket that blow those away
That looked like a too smoked thick hunters sausage meets slim Jim. And I like Hunters Sausage as a snack just not on that.
What a disappointment eh Chris? Crazy that there are so many dirty water carts that are way better then this. Great video as always, cheers!
Not to brag, but... 3:14
Umami is the most overused word in the English language
And yet, I can guarantee 90 percent of Americans wouldn't be able to define the word.....😂
Would never pay that
"Non-Cash payment fee " .......hilarious. Greedy bastards.
LOOKS LIKE A PASS FOR ME……😢
Beans in chili. Yuck
ive had a better hot dog from a deer hunting snackin stick
Deer meat is called venison and when properly prepared is delicious. Please no not malign venison.
Great review and I love the production. Sarge's is a good deli, but always stick to the basics...Pastrami, Corned Beef, Matzoh Ball Soup. Don't venture into the wacky world of Snap-O-Ratzzo and gigantic, stacked 6 meat sandwiches. Those are usually concoctions of 2nd and 3rd generation family members.
I find that traditional delis are hit or miss on dogs. Katz's nailed it. Apparently Sarge's did too on their traditional hot dog. I wouldn't wish the 2nd Avenue Deli's dog on my worst enemy. However the one time I had it was when they were located on 2nd Avenue. Maybe it was corrected?
I used to love the dogs at Artie's Deli on the Upper West Side. They unfortunately closed in 2018, after being sold to by the Cutler Family (Carmine's, Docks, Ollie's Noodle) to new owners, who later ran into financial issues leading the restaurant to declare bankruptcy, close and vacate the premises.
In 2017 their hot dogs were $2.95 with sauerkraut/onion sauce on side, and unlimited sour/half-source pickles, plus superb Cole Slaw. I miss that place.
Rare to hear you disappointed. Thank you for sacrificing your taste buds for us.
I love this channel. Plz dont change how you things too much over time. It’s simple yet entertaining, and we get to fully hear your candid opinions.
Eventually he might have to change for health reasons
Hey Chris...I just bought a pack of 5 Sabrett hot sausages for $6, and I bought the Sabrett onions in sauce..... I'll give you a review after!!🤣🤣
Let me know. Sauce is in a foil packet? If it is it might have a "metalic" taste. Just add a small amount of brown sugar if it does. Key being small amount.... 1/2 teaspoon at a time until your liking.
Hi Chris, Great Video, I Wonder Why They Call Those Snap -o When they Don't have A Snap. I Guess If You Bend Them Enough They WILL SNAP. LOL. Anyway I'am Glad You Got A Good One. Get Well Soon.
One thing I don't get..... Why didn't they put the chili and cheese directly on the dog? Seems like they give less in the little cup, then when they put it on the dog itself.
Something about that bugs me. Even if it isnt a less amount of the topping, it just is dumb. It’s harder on the poor dishwasher too lol
Appreciate the honesty. They can’t all be good.
Way cool spot - hey as long as you got your appetite you're not completely hammered sick ---always a good thing 👍
Edit ::: I'd be doing pastrami's+++ cheese steaks mad crazy back there bro 💖
Chris want to know a secret ? here it is Pastrami Grill Bistro
83 River Dr, Garfield, NJ 07026,,, they may be better than Katz,s ,,, thats right better than Katz,s ,,,, and a same size sandwich has Katz,s for only $14.95.
Hi Chris. Love your videos. Artie Lange on the Stern Show would frequently talk about his love for “dirty water dogs”. He said the best dogs were at 6th and 49th street. This was over 15 years ago now but would love for you to see if there may still be a stand there and review it if possible. I looked at some of your older videos but didn’t see any at that intersection. Thanks in advance. PS I’ve been craving hot dogs like crazy lately and have been looking to order them whenever I look at a menu.
Will try it.
Cole slaw, Bean Chili, onions and Sauerkraut. Beano needs to sponsor this video.
Love your reviews Chris….from a New Yorker transplanted in CT that takes my hotdogs seriously.
regular dog for the win🌭🌭
weird options for the HOT DOGS. coleslaw? potato salad? who eats that on a NYC FRANKFURTER. katz hot dog video was AMAZING & had ny toppings
Frank the tank is the king of hot dogs
Hey quick ? Is it like a slim jim lol
You should try Walter’s up in Mamaroneck!
That's too bad. I was hoping they'd be similar to red snapper dogs.
you did not make a mistake you did this for us!
“Pigeons are gonna throw it back”. Great line!!! Dogs looked promising. Your dialogue was great, Chris.
you did it for us. Thank You! because I would have been gimmicked too
Love your reviews my friend!
I I JUST DIED IN YOUR AMRS TONIGHT
You should have had a knish. They have one of the best in the city!!
Wanted to really like the place, it looked like it had good food. I was scared when you showed the menu insert for the Snap o razzo. I never heard of a unami tasting dog. That said, I was pleased to see the response from snap o razzo. Snap o Razzo, invented by Kramer?
I'm in the UK and have no idea what a Slim Jim is but they looked awful. Off to Google but at least the last dog was a hit.
Sometimes the simplest dog is the best dog :) They did look good though, but tough looking. Thanks for not choking on them Chris.
Snap into a slim Jim.... sucks they weren’t as expected. Nice sit down lunch otherwise.
I thought a slim Jim is more like a smoked, drier snack sausage?
Thank you UA-cam ..... didn't get a notification of your recent videos for the past month !!
Oh no!
Chris you get a 2.2 for risk management! When trying a gimmick item you only order 1. You have to qualify it before making an additional purchase. You got taken to the cleaners on those Slim Jims.
Very accurate point.
You do an excellent job. I love all of your reviews. I'm a New Yorker, so I know you know what a good dog tastes like.
Thanks for watching!
great video and i hope you feel better dude!
Your videos are great. So chill. I feel like your my bud in "real life"
I appreciate that!
LOL! "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" from Cutting Crew playing in the background! I guess you hate yourself for ordering a razzo dog.
IS IT A NATURAL CASING OR THE QUESTIONABLE EDIBLE PLASTIC CASING ONES ??
It states natural. But not sure.
But was it like a Slim Jim?
Exactly.
Chili should have beans. Sorry Texas.
How are you going to eat all that food
Slowly.
Compared to Los Angeles you don't get good hot dogs in NYC
The pastrami one looks delicious
That's some Hormel chilli
Too expensive for hot dogs.
I like your honesty
you look like a fool
snap a cheato no doubt.....gezz!
Holey Moley, deer jerky. Brutal but honest. Can't put beans in the sauce and microwave the cheese sauce. Ralph the owner gonna be sending you a care package of deer jerky dogs so you can choke at home. OUR CHRIS WILL NOT BE BRIBED!
There's no way I could eat the hot dog that you put all that mustard, chili and cheese on (for 2 reasons). #1, I can't eat any food covered in too much condiments. I'd lose my stomach looking at it. #2, just because they give you the condiments on the side (I ALWAYS request mine on the side), doesn't mean you have to use it all.
That's why Dave portnoy just does cheese pizza none of that fancy stuff
Proud of you got 20,000 views I'm usually watching it right away so I never know how many views you get but that's great remember in the beginning just a maybe a hundred of us we're watching
Yea. 100- 200 views. Just have to be consistent.
Still no rutts hut!?
On the list. Just have to find time to go.
@@NYCHotDogStands how much do I have to pay to make time lol. Keep up the videos, even more street carts and different trucks, Chris’ New York food truck empire lol
