It's so lovely to hear tunes I grew up with in Scotland still being played (and so beautifully). I hope they will be passed down for hundreds more years.
Celtic music is very popular among a large number of harpists. My heritage is Scottish, although i have never lived there I have a large family history there, and my husband’s family is Irish. One day soon I hope to travel there with my harp to play.
When my mom was in the hospital for her last hours, this is the exact type of harp a music therapist brought in to play for her/us. It was perfect. Gentle sound, small space. Great instrument.
I have just recently discovered a great love for the Celtic harp which I don't recall ever hearing or seeing before a couple of months ago. Maybe because of deep roots unknown as my grandmother was a Scott, though I don't recall ever hearing music in their home. You and a few other Celtic harpists have moved my heart and soul in a very peaceful and profound way in my decline. I cannot describe how much peace, healing and love you and a few other masterful harpists have given me. I can't thank you enough! Hearts 💖 and flowers 💐🌹 ito you!!!
Just listened again; it is a treat thanks! Surprised had not already commented. This reminded me to look up again how to say (bow as in front of ship and Ron [rawn]) the drum. Great job the both of you thanks again and keep smiling!
WHAT PRICE ELEGANCE? WHAT PRICE ARTISTRY? WHAT PRICE BEAUTY? ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS IS THIS RECITAL!!!A PEARL OF GREAT PRICE COMES CLOSE IN COMPARISON!!! V.W.
I've heard many versions of these tunes. " Road" in particular...but this one gave me the forearm goosebumps. Maybe it's the restraint & the purity of the playing. Anyway you GOT it! is all I can say.
Could you help me find a harp that is similar to yours sound wise. This is by far my favourite song ever I listen to every night while im cooking. Its on repeat! 🙏
It's a Musicmakers 32 string Gothic. (Originally it had 31 strings, but we altered it to add that low C.) (editing this because for some reason I wrote 22 and 21 instead of 32 and 31!)
Stephanie Claussen I know musicmakers discontinued there 36 gothic because of instability. For some reason you don't see anything past 31 string gothic. Are they really that unstable?
@@annedonnellan6876 When I wrote that comment those girls looked like feminists to me. Now watching the video again I'm not sure. The dresses don't look like something a feminist would use. You know, I live in Spain and here feminism is rampant. We have many women with dominant attitudes hating men, thinking that we are their enemies. Maybe I got carried away and I saw feminists where they aren't 😅. Maybe the glasses of the girl of the right had an influence. Many feminists wear those kind of glasses. I don't know. They both look quite feminine. I guess that day I was angry after reading some typical Spanish feminist hatred speech, it happens a lot 😅.
it seems quite foolish to let your assumptions based on people’s appearances rule your judgement to such an extent that you make a (rude, tbh) comment with their help, especially since your own comment reveals that you know virtually nothing about the people you judge.

@@SharonCullenArt Yes, I'm a harpist myself. :) I hope you get to Scotland and Ireland soon.

How thoughtful. R.i.p.
I'm nerding out over how smooth that transition was from Road to Morrison's and back to Road 🤩 awesome job
both instruments sound wonderfully rich
Beautiful! 😍😍😍 my favorites all together!
ありがとうございます!
Thank you so much!
Harp goals - to play like this! Fantastic!
Let's enjoy the music we can already play while we work on our goals. The harp sounds beautiful with every song.

Thanks for listening! This is an old Musicmakers Gothic harp. They don't make them anymore but sometimes you see them around still.
Wonderful

Is that a 36 string?

Feminism is not compatible with this music, just saying.
