Doctors keep saying I am a "medical miracle" because I can speak so well even though I have such a strong hearing disability. Well I learned to read from lips ;)

Thank you for sharing this story! I have two kids with hearing loss and I enjoy hearing the experiences of others. Your story was especially fascinating to me because your hearing loss looks quite similar to my daughter’s. I’m just always hoping that I’m doing enough to help her. The technology really is crazy. It will be interesting to see how it continues to progress. Also, we always call the part that goes in your ear the “ear mold.” Just if you were curious. I hope you find hearing aids that work better for you!
