Thank you so much for doing this detailed review. I bought one yesterday second hand and I was concerned about the missing details compared with the classic design.
:) the oxblood is a terrific color, but I plan on wearing mine year round so I'll settle for a saddle one. I'm still not sure. I loved the ability to expand the bag as you need it. I love this bag, it's a more practical adaptation of the Hermes Birkin!
Love the look of the bag and the grain of the leather. I didn't buy it due to having no feet on the bottom. I think he has made a huge mistake with this.
nice review of the new one! I got the new bag as well and have been looking to see if others have reviewed it and see what they think. Glad I found your review! I like how you actually show the bag with your informative commentary. A lot of the handbag reviews that others put out don't actually show the bag and just show the youtuber's face :P
Thanks Betty! I'm very new to doing videos so I'm still finding my feet and style with it! Love the new Bayswater though! Thanks for your feedback that's really great to hear, and a very good point you made!
do you use a bag organizer for your Bayswater? while I like the roominess, I like to have more compartments too. do you use anything inside to help you manage the space?
Do I use a bag organiser? Yes! I make Love Lolo organisers - all handmade by us here in England. I will do a review of some of our liners too in the future!
Thanks for your reply!... Yes, I'm aware of that. Just wondering if there are particular styles manufactured in the UK. I've been planning to purchase one & since it's a British brand, I'd love getting one made locally in the UK. Really loved your video, very informative, thanks, Love Lolo!
My one was made in England, the sales assistant looked through the stock until she found one for me, just ask and they will do their best to help you. I recommend visiting the Bond Street store if you have the chance! Kirsty is my sales assistant and she is very helpful and polite.x
Thanks for your earlier reply..Is it safe to use this bag in hot weather, for eg: if the atmospheric temperature is between 35-40 degree Celsius? What extra care should be taken to avoid heat damage?
Hi 😊! I don't have the Mulberry Bayswater, but some other luxury leather handbags (Dior, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Strathberry...). I think you shouldn't expect any problems wearing the bag on a hot summer day, but don't leave it in the car or in general in a room that can get heated up a lot, because that's for sure not good for any bags. And avoid direct sunlight over a longer period of time; darker colours might bleach, lighter colours might turn yellow. But, as I mentioned, you should be perfectly fine wearing the bag running some errands or carrying it to work on a hot day. Hope that helps a little, even though it wasn't specifically about the Bayswater 😊.
just saw this review. can i ask for a little piece of advice? im trying to decide between a bayswater or a neverfull from louis vuitton. Any pros and cons? or would you choose one over the other?
The neverfall: The Vachetta leather is prone to darkening so make sure you protect straight away with Collonil Carbon Gold. If you buy a limited edition LV bag then they hold their value or even increase over time. The Canvas is very durable. The Monogram goes with a lot but also a very common bag to see around in London - but a classic. It is an open style tote so security can be an issue for some. The New Baywater: Handles aren't as long as the NF but the leather is very robust and will stand the test of time, you can use Collonil Carbon Pro to protect. Overall the Bayswater is practical but likely a little more heavy than the NF. The second hand market for a great condition New style Bayswater is around £700. It has a versatile look with wings in or out which is a great advantage and has the benefit of a flap and postmans lock. Both bags are capacious and great for work bags. You can always join Exclusively Mulberry on facebook and also an LV group on FB to find out more about these bags!
Thamks you so much. Im hopefully getting one of the bags as a birthday gift. As i said any information helps. It is also a slighly common sight in Glasgow also. Which almost puts me off the NF. But ive been told mulberry bags can be very prone to bumps and sctaches due to the softness of the leather.
The older style Baywater in Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather (NVT) is more prone to scratches yes. But Collonil Wax Leather cream fixes it very well you can get one preloved in excellent condition for £500. The New style Bayswater (in the review) is different leather and doesn't mark easily at all. I suggest joining the FB group Exclusively Mulberry or going into store to try some on and see how they feel on. If you go for LV bag then consider get a limited edition version if the budget permits! You can also check out Unicorn Designer Bags I highly recommend them!
I just bought this and arrived yesterday! Struggling with the weight of it! Oh so heavy!!!! And my A4 binder sticks up too far on top so looks funny when top is closed! What are your findings with 8 months of use? Too heavy for day to day? And are old bayswaters lighter at all? I've never seen these bags in person til I ordered one online. Any thoughts are appreciated!
Hi! The old Bayswater is even heavier. I would say if you don't love the bag then take it back to the store and pick another one that's right for you- it's a lot of money to spend after all.
Glad to see a review on this. Not a fan of the new Bays at all; I also think it's just a completely new bag, but I do think that if I had to choose, I think oxblood one is gorgeous. The leather looks really durable, too. Glad to hear the leather has been improved.
In other words, the Bayswater has been ruined by an idiot designer. Too bad.......... It just goes to show you that sometimes you should just leave things alone. The new Oak is horrible. Sucky sucky sucky.... Like she said, it's just not the Bayswater anymore.
Thank you so much for doing this detailed review. I bought one yesterday second hand and I was concerned about the missing details compared with the classic design.
OH MY GOSH! Thank you so much for the review! Been stalking youtube for reviews for a while now and yours is very thorough too!
Lots more reviews coming soon! I will be reviewing a variety of bags and Collonil products. Thanks very much for stalking me!! haha!

Yes It's a very practical bag and a fraction of the cost of a Birkin! I also have the Darley Satchel in this leather and I love it!
That’s a gorgeous bag, miss the feet and definitely prefer the wings tucked in
i bought the exact same one yesterday after watching your review more than twice. certainly hope to get a lot of wear from it.
Fingers crossed you like it!
Your review is great!! Would love to see an update on this bag too xxx
Thanks! More reviews coming soon! The bag is still looking great. The Bayswater liners I make are now back in stock too!

I see the benefit of feet, but also haven't really missed them as much as i thought i would. The leather is durable enough without feet I think.

oh! is there a website or available for purchase in London stores anywhere?
I’ve just ordered it, but brown :D I am sooooo excited! ;)
I love it. I enjoy mine very much.
Lovely bag. Is this the Bayswater Heritage bag? I didn't think it had 'wings'? The one I saw didn't. Is this a different one to the Heritage? Thanks
Looks amazing, is this model made in England? ... the small version which is available here was made in Turkey. Thanks
Mulberry bags are made in many places including England, Turkey, Italy, China and Spain to name a few! I hope that's helpful!

Thanks you so much for all ypur help and info. Its very appreciated.
i jut got it yesterday, i am jus 5'4 but feel a little big for me.
could you please tell me what's your height?
thank you so much ~~
5'6 it is quite big. The new small Zipped Bayswater might be a great alternative!
It's a large tote, even on me (5'7") looks big.
Has this bag ever come with cross body straps ?
It hasn’t, no - but there are various other versions of the Bayswater that do have cross body straps.
The piping has gone and there are no gold feet on the new style.

The new Leather is great. i'm still a big fan of the old NVT but this works very well on a daily use bag!
Can you please put a link to a hand bag organiser suitable for this bag?
Sure! Link to follow...
