KC really goes in depth and shows us what it takes to build lights with quality. You don’t cut corners and we recognize that! We love that you are always ahead of the game. Keep it up!

I really enjoyed the video because it shows a brand breaking down their light thatnis rarely shown, giving access behind the build and showing how they make the beam patterns to fit are needs for are adventures. It is amazing to see that it’s not just all about the lens but mainly the dimensions of the reflector that controls a huge variation of scattered light and focuses it into a beam style we look for in a light. KC keep doing you and changing the way we see the night and for some of us light freaks turning night into day. Thank
You can’t wait to see more

I love that you guys are willing to do a tear down, the best way to see the quality of a product is to open it up. Most aren't willing to do that.

I like how much research and development KC puts into their products. It’s interesting watching the videos and getting an understanding on what I really need in a headlight for my JKU Rubicon. I have been searching for awhile as the stocks underperform. I just want to ensure I put the best that I can in the Jeep and I like the quality of KC products. Keep up the great videos. Thanks

One thing that I learned from this video is how much engineering that goes into each product. I would love to see more videos like this that breaks down each of your products and proves why you are leaps and bounds ahead of your competition. Keep up the great work.

Thank you for these videos Taylor. You guys have earned my business!
Back on the last day of November, 2020 I ordered my first ever Jeep. A 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. It arrived at my dealership in mid February, 2021 and I bought it in March 1st, 2021.
I’ve been around off roading all of my life. My Dad used to take both my Mom and I out off roading in his truck or we would go out to the desert in our dune buggies with family and friends. This would have been in the 70’s and 80’s. My Dads truck didn’t have any off road lights on it but our dune buggy did. It was a yellow dune buggy with 2 KC Hilites off road lights on top of the roll cage and then 2 more on the front of the buggy. And they truly did turn night into day. I then continued the trend when I got my drivers license in 1990. Later on in life I began driving Toyota Tacoma’s and loved them. On my first one that I had, a 1997 Toyota Tacoma LX 4x4 extended cab, I put a custom made light bar on it and was going to run KC Hilites on it but the off road shop talked me into going with 4, PIAA 80 Racing Series lights. They did great and are still on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 extra cab that I sold a few years ago but I had always wished that I had stuck with my original plan.
In April of 2020, my Dad passed away after a 30 plus year battle with multiple sclerosis that he got as a result of being sprayed with agent orange in Vietnam, after he got drafted into the Army. After he died I decided to get back into off roading again because I used to love doing it and my Dad is the one that ignited that passion.
Because I’m a San Diego native, I also considered going with Baja Designs. When I began studying which off road lights are the best to go with the 2 companies that kept coming up were KC Hilites and Baja Designs. Anytime I would speak with them it felt like I was burdening them with my questions. But when I spoke with anyone at KC Hilites, it was the exact opposite. Everyone was friendly, informative and extremely helpful. And on those principles alone, that earned my business.
I now live in Colorado and also volunteer getting off road vehicles on trails unstuck and recovered. But another thing that is even more important that I will be doing is volunteer myself, vehicle and equipment in doing search and rescue and/or search and recovery of missing people in many of these remote locations. So myself and others can continue searching locations even at night, probably the most important thing that I need will be off road lights and on every corner of my Jeep. If I can illuminate an area off the trail and then send a drone or 2 up, we can continue searching remote areas even at night. Or, if a lost individual or group of people are still mobile and can walk and they see the off road lights in the distance of where my Jeep is, then that will act as a beacon to them of where help is and they can start traveling towards us. So with the help that everyone at KC Hilites gave to me, I now know which lights are going to be the ones that I need to buy and use. Because the lights alone will be in the $4k to $5k range for everything, I am actually going to be going to the bank this week to take out a small loan to buy everything at once so I can get everything set up all at once.

Wow, I've learned something new today. I've never knew that how much light is being focused, depended on the shape of the reflector. This is why I love KC HILITES! I really like how he went over the housing part of the light. I see a lot of people complain about water getting into off-brand housings and it's super important, especially for an off-road light, to be able to handle water and dust without failure. I have a few of KC's lights and I use them as aften as I can. I've used them through thousands of night driven miles and they have without doubt saved me from accidents with wildlife or unknown corners that creep up on you during those late night drives. With the purchase of a new Chevy Tahoe I hope to upgrade the lighting soon. Unfortunately a Tahoe is a large vehical with few areas to add good lighting making it more expensive than even folks with deep pockets like to part with. A set of these could be a good start and they definitely wouldn't hurt the appearance.
Good luck to all and who ever wins these lights, enjoy them as I have the lights on my last vehicle, my Jeep.

Excellent video. Great description of the reflector technology, many people don't understand LED technology and how to properly design an LED light, KC sure does. We have fogs, flex bar, PRO6 bar and Carbon pods running on a couple vehicles and have had excellent experience with the quality and light output. Did have a small issue with the PRO6 on an 18 wheeler due to the extreme vibrations experienced on the highways in Alaska, but the issue was fixed right away by KC. The light output of the PRO6 combined with the Carbon Pods is just amazing, well worth the investment if your a commercial driver. Also most important, bring those American Flag covers to the Carbon Pods and PRO6 please.

Thanks for the info! Those Gravity lights are pretty sick and would look great on my OBS Suburban. Do a video on power requirements and wiring them up!! 👍

The direction of aiming light explanation was very helpful and changes my mind of what I’ll buy next. Also those American flag KC logo covers are sweet!!

I liked the technical explanation detailing what sets these name brand lights apart from cheaper off road lights.

I enjoyed seeing you guys take apart various lights to show what goes into making your lights. I like taking stuff apart but rarely do it when it voids a warranty... And seeing the quality that go into KC's makes me want to buy them even more. I would enjoy seeing a video about different beam patterns with some off-road night examples. Maybe that exists already and I haven't seen it, but that would be awesome!
