songs i like on scorpion ,blue tint , elevate, in my feelings, nice for what, Gods plan, mob ties, im upset, survival, nonstop, emotionless, 8 out of 10 everything else meh.
Nonstop, survival, can’t take a joke, blue tint, don’t matter to me, summer games, Sandra’s rose, emotionless, 8 out of 10, gods plan, finesse, nice for what, after dark, March 14, is there more. All good songs
But for being a good producer u need to learn instrument that help u to save ur time and make a beat faster and more different kind of vibe in same time
KHagoodMusic that's really the key to making certain sounds stands out. When you change the polarity of a sound so it doesn't match the rest of the polarity of the song it makes it stand out, and If you want it to fit in you make the polarity fit the wave of the rest of the song. I found this out on my own, but it's very useful especially on your kicks and 808's
yeah that's the first basic thing you should do when to sounds on the same frequency and spectrum dont fit and cancel themselves out..but what he said about it fits under it's not really correct..the polarity is the direction of the wave..if one sound is going up and another is going down the cancel each other so if you flip one of them it matches and they sound together..thats how you record a drum kit because the mic of kick in for example its at a different distance then the kick out mic so they hear things at different times and the wave wont be matching..so you can change the polarity not only by reversing wich is 180 degrees but 1 degree at a time for better conection between sounds
Supahmario deserves a beat placement on every drake album. And the best thing about this song was the fact that there was only a little future in it. Just enough to give the track some diversity but not enough for him to ruin it. Good job drake
One of the coolest things in the Deconstructed videos in when the producers really know what they're talking about and are confident. Shit makes the whole video that much better, great stuff!
I'm so glad this album came out when I was working. I would play the whole album once everyday and Survival, Mob Ties, Is There More, Blue Tint, Final Fantasy, March 14 and After Dark stick with me the most because of their unique sounds and style and plus I felt like I was one of the very few that appreciated their art before it ever came to the public eye.
Reversing the polarity doesn't always create cancellation, there might have already been cancellation and when he reversed the 808's polarity it made it work better with the synth bass. If that wasn't the case it would've been fixed by the engineer anyways.
It's a mixing desk, if they're not mixing they don't need it, thats like saying "isn't it funny how all these sound engineers sit in front of all those synthesizers but they din't use them."
This is sampling done right imo. He didn’t just take a loop and put drums on it (not that there’s anything necessarily wrong with that) but he pieces together different samples and turned it into a hard, cohesive track
It's good 2 see that somebody is utilizing these dope ass sample packs out here, instead of saying tha clichéd phrase, "Oh, so & so sent me an exclusive pack of samples."
this is one of the few songs i still listen to from scorpion
Same and Cant Take A Joke
And nonstop but yeah the rest of it is meh...

Pusher Player what about talk up?
Sad how producers wouldn’t know they made a hit until they hear their beat on someone’s album
How can you tell?
That’s what happens when they give beats to a bunch of artists 🤷🏾♂️
jjbing3 mhm
Fr, artists gotta tell the producer if they using the beat otherwise it's going to someone else
Yeah rap game fucked up
Swear probably the most overlooked song in Scorpion ❄💨
LeBeautiful what you doing here? This ain’t a basketball video 😂
A lot of people can't be bothered to look through 25 songs when so many are boring
True say my gg
facts lol nobody likes this song
Off rip
flipping the phase/polarity to get the bass tracks sitting nice was really dope.
Hidden Oasis had me shook he understand sounds
can you explain this to me, I didn't understand
yeah what does he mean by that, sounds smart
@@teunvandalen7529 flipped the waveform essentially so when the sub bass waveform goes up the 808 waveform goes down
Shiv B ooooooookay dude
Like how he's honest about using samples/loops. It's what you create not if you play instruments and create all from scratch. Music is music.
Yeah and it’s a define plus when you use them creatively like he did.
But for being a good producer u need to learn instrument that help u to save ur time and make a beat faster and more different kind of vibe in same time
Thank you Supah Mario. One of the hardest songs on the album.
This track should’ve been a single. One of the better ones on the album.
CaapriceTube every time I hear it, it’s like it’s made for the radio
@@devonwaters9032 yup, definitely had commercial appeal
I would never think about reversing polarity to get a synth bass and 808 together. Good stuff!
Yup that’s the gem I took from this breakdown
Big facts. My face instantly went 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Kencis Clay How does reversing polarity exactly modify the wave shape?
Like if Blue Tint is Underrated
Bread still is
as fuck
Remember hearing it randomly, i was like oooh shit. Straight to the playlist.
@@arza0932 same that shit hit hard
My dawg kilt that, one of my favorite Genius episodes by far
Collabe maybe? I know you guys would make some hits forsure
Dam man you've been making beats for years, you are so much better than so many people who blew up. You are nice asf my dude, I know you will blow up.
I was waiting for some soundclick producers to show up lol
Ayyyyye
🐐
"prolly cuttin' grass or somethin'"
Hey even producers need to do their chores lol
😂🌊
Supahmario deserves a beat placement on every drake album. And the best thing about this song was the fact that there was only a little future in it. Just enough to give the track some diversity but not enough for him to ruin it. Good job drake
Fax he did good on more life too
It's true. I've always praised Ice Melts as one of the best songs off More Life and now it makes sense since he produced that one too.
I guess i do too.
Good way of putting it
thats not future in the song. It's Drake doing a very convincing future impression.
To find all these samples that fit perfectly together is a talent in itself. Good shit. 🔥
A HOUSTONFORNICATION with Sevn Thomas would be great🔥🔥🔥
Philipp any beat from that album tbh
Beat TOO hard. One of my favorites off Astro!
Highly agree
Philipp also rip screw or astrothunder
John Bridges these are so fire too
Never clicked faster in my life!

Coz Blue Tint is my fav song on the album😂
This was dope and definitely my favorite song off the album. Shout out taz and jrhitmaker too!
This was definitley one of my favorites on the album. The production, the lyrics, the whole feel of it was just good.
One of the coolest things in the Deconstructed videos in when the producers really know what they're talking about and are confident. Shit makes the whole video that much better, great stuff!
I love the Ice Melts vibe. These two songs are so underrated.
Broooo please you either gotta do Deconstructed: No Tellin’ or Know Yourself
Humble dude. Like how he gave homage to those he got the cuts from. This beat is HARD, too
i like how he explains shit. very precise & simple.
I'm so glad this album came out when I was working. Y’all sleeping on this and mob ties
fax mob ties is FIRE
Drake should be telling YOU thank you
Donovan Singh drake will always have producer lining up with fire beats
They should be thanking drake for the bag they about to receive lmao
We need all of Scorpion’s B-side please.
blue tint one of my favorite songs off the album... really dope to see the process
This sounds better then in my feelings💪💪⛽💨🔥
KAZO MIMZ *than
In my feelings was too overplayed
I like watching these and see the little details and go back to the song and listen to the details.
This beat is fucking amazing he really killed it. When I first listened to scorpion I put blue tint on loop for like an hour
Just wondered when genius would drop another deconstructed, u real ones for this genius 🔥

Baqir Syed exactly he in left field 😭
WhoTf isCed I'm still confused as to where logics biracial ass can from 😭
He explained it so well. Very simple and catchy vibe from the start to end. I think he has great potential in the industry being a big producer name.
Best beat on the album NO CAP
yung patty ice
I’ve been waiting on this one!
been waiting for this ever since!!!
He lowkey dropped some gems. And shoutout everyone out 🔥
supahmario is one of the most talented, humble and genuine producers in the industry atm
been waiting on this
Never heard of bruh but he's hard like a southern hit-boy... Keep em coming
That’s what reversing the polarity does 🤔
It just flips the wave upside down
Reversing the polarity doesn't always create cancellation, there might have already been cancellation and when he reversed the 808's polarity it made it work better with the synth bass. If that wasn't the case it would've been fixed by the engineer anyways.
Shiv B sounds like you’re a engineer. If so, do you have any work u mixed so I can hear? Looking for a dope engineer that can clean up instrumentals.
@@shivbvision bro wtf are you talking about. I'm high as fuck and everybody is speaking nerd and techy 💁🏽♂️. Like tall calm tf down
or just EQ out the low frequencies of the synth bass so the 808 wouldn't clash
Never thought of reversing the polarities. Mario a real one giving us the sauce on that one 🙏🙏
Been looking forward to this so much
Rewatching in 2024. These deconstructed videos literally got me through Covid. Hope they come back 🔥
The polarity idea was so lit and different💥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of my all time favourites.

Song spreads positive vibes only, thx Genius for deconstructing the beat
This beat is both simple, and really complex at the same time! So fire!
SHOUTOUT INTERNET MONEY
Amazing video💪🏾 love these & big congrats to Supah Mario!!🙌🏾 Dope Beat
4:41 who also thought he was talking about busy works beats lmao
Amazing production from an underrated producer. 🔥🔥
Don’t u love how these producers have all those buttons and boards in front of them but all they use is their laptop 😂
Boards a mainly for engineers.
So dumb because they’re in the studio setting for the genius DECONSTRUCTED video, would you rather they film it at restaurant??
Because that’s for mixing
Jalen Alexander i thought the exact same thing
It's a mixing desk, if they're not mixing they don't need it, thats like saying "isn't it funny how all these sound engineers sit in front of all those synthesizers but they din't use them."
That bassline had me since the album dropped. Definitely got some inspiration for the next couple days
SUPAH MARIO is so legit and this is dope insight as a producer. Congrats legend
Blue Tint and Ice melts are bangers!
I'm glad Supah Mario getting recognition!
Swing your arms from side to side
side side to side
One of the many bops from Scorpion.
Reversing the polarity to make the low ends not clash is a major key
the production on this next level
The way he layed it out 🔥🔥.. dope mind

“Half way through the beat, I already knew I had one.” He was right
my favorite song on the album
Yo man you taught me a trick or two on FL. Your the man!!!!
This is sampling done right imo. He didn’t just take a loop and put drums on it (not that there’s anything necessarily wrong with that) but he pieces together different samples and turned it into a hard, cohesive track
people are still hating
This top 100 beats in hip hop history
it definitely is
When your hard work pay off and you discover you made the album. shit feel good
