I have a series 4, 44 mm And iPhone 11 Pro Max. It pairs yet it gets stuck on the update screen and won’t let me do anything. I tried to reset everything and turn on and off about five times and still says my Apple Watch needs updated then It’s just gets stuck at that screen yeah it gives me an option to exit and reset.

Broooooo.. thank you so much for this video! I knew there was nothing wrong with my phone or the Apple Watch I was gifted. I reset my Network Settings on my phone, went through the rebooting process and then boom! It finally was able to find the update required for the pairing process. YOU'RE A LIFESAVER. URTech Support, thank you for your video! I am trying to pair my watch with a Iphone 5s in its latest version 12.4.8. I do not know what is the version of the watch OS. Everytime i try to pair, the iphone shows a message telling me that the apple watch should first be updated and i have to press a button to update, after pressing nothing happens and the iphone show a messagem telling me that i could not pair. Do you think is because the ios version is not 13 and hence i am not able to update my watchos? Thank dear !!
Try updating to the watch OS 6.2.1. My series 4 wouldn't update to the last one and rendered my watch useless. Not expecting anything to happen I decided to do this latest update. I put it on the charger set the phone to do the update and went to bed. The next morning I saw the watch had completed the update. I went in and set the watch up as a new watch and it went thru seamlessly. So far its working like it did before I head the update problem.I'm pleased that I can use the watch for the purpose I bought it the ekg and fall detection.
Great video! I was just recently gifted an old series 3 Apple Watch and was having a hard time uploading the update to my iPhone 12 with iOS 16. In the end I give up. Whenever Apple finally fine tunes this tech I will give it a try again. But I’m an adult I don’t have an hour or many hours to deal with this headache. Thanks for the info, though.

Thank you. I was having trouble pairing my Series 8 with my iPhone X Max. But, I watched your video and disconnected my WiFi and Bluetooth, and upon reconnecting the pairing began.
My new Apple watch series 3 reads needs to be updated when I hit update from my phone it reads my watch is on the latest firmware, all I’m left to do is hit cancel on my phone but that does nothing but unpair my watch, so I’m just stuck on the already updated screen. I’m using a iPhone 8 Plus.
@@rashadwilson2725 Yes in order to pair my watch I had to log out of my Apple account power off the watch power the watch back on, then I was able to pair.
I tried numerous times to pair with new iphone SE ios13.7 and Applewatch 5. Everything up to date but no pairing so checked airplane mode & BlueTooth to no avail. * BUT then, you talked about connections and power so I attached the battery charger to the phone...* *BAM** all of a sudden the PAIRING finally worked just like that!! Might. power hook up first when trying to pair. Thanks so much.
Hey, none of the solutions worked for me, but I noticed that my wife's iphone 8 had about 25 apps opened. So, I decided to close them all, after that, wow, worked like a charm, :)

I’m on my second Apple Watch Series 3 and im still unable to pair it with my iPhone X that has the latest software installed. There’s so many people with the same issue and yet there’s no real solution anywhere
I have a 6s iPhone that was paired to two watches the original watch and a series 4. I recently updated to the latest update for the phone and now my series 4 won't update. It gets as far as you're up to date 5.3.7 and won't go any further. So my series 4 is useless at this point. Is there any way to get the phone to go past that point? I think it's a software issue because I did all the other steps you said do. The watch does connect but it can't go further because of the phone.
This is not always the case, I have a iPhone X & series 5 watch, upgraded to iPhone 11 Pro max BUT...... will not pair to new phone telling me my software on the phone is out of date even though im running 13.6.1 which is the latest IOS
Apple watch series 6 running WatchOS 7, and iPhone X running iOS 14.0.1. Everything was working fine, then suddenly yesterday the watch data quit syncing with my phone. Watch doesn't stay connected under Bluetooth. I have rebooted both phone and watch. I don't want to unpair and re-pair them though, because the watch app on my phone won't open. When I select the app, it flashes briefly then crashes. Help!
Hi! great video. My Apple Watch was totally fine (was paired with my iPhone) the thing is I tried to updated and once it did there was this message that say it couldn't paired and has been in a loop since then it displays a code to introduce in the iPhone and then comes the apple on the watch and that circle that needs to go around and get completed life twice and then appears the figure of an iPhone with a watch suggesting that it needs to pair and a the same time there is a message in the phone that says that it could paired. later there is this message that says that the apple watch needs to be updated or restore and then the loop begins uggghhhh it killing me. I don't live in the us so I don't have where to go to fix it. What do you suggest>? thanks!
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your Apple Watch. Here are some more advanced steps you can take: 1. Force Restart Your Apple Watch: Press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo. 2. Reset Your Apple Watch: If you can't update or restore your Apple Watch using your iPhone, try erasing your Apple Watch and setting it up as new. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings on your Apple Watch. This will erase everything, so make sure you have a backup. 3. Use Recovery Mode: Connect your Apple Watch to power, press and hold the side button and Digital Crown together for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Then, release the side button but keep holding the Digital Crown until you see "Connect to Mac or PC." Then, connect your Apple Watch to your computer and use Finder or iTunes to update or restore your Apple Watch
I’m having a problem with an Apple Watch series 3 with a 6S and the update had some kind of issue and I need to delete the watch update and try again but can NOT figure out how to do this. Can you help? The phone is updated to iOS 13
Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone. Go to General > Usage > Software Update. Delete the update file. Click Delete again to confirm. This will remove the WatchOS software update. Now go to General > Software Update and try to download it again.
URTechSupport The watch wouldn’t pair so I couldn’t get in to any of that but the other advice that you gave in that video did help me get it repaired and working in the advice that you gave was to just keep trying if something doesn’t work and eventually it would work which I did so I do appreciate the videos that you make and you were a big help so thank you for that
Thank you! You confirmed what I was afraid of, incompatibility. Apparently the watch factory reset does not reset the original firmware? I had a series 2 watch paired with my iphone 7, ios-15, no problem, at some point the watch firmware was updated while being used on ios15. I have since received a new watch and retired the old series 2 for my grandson to use on his older iphone 6 that only runs ios12.55, yes, the old series 2 watch firmware will not let me use it on ios12, even after a watch reset. bummer

Phone and laptop knew about the watch, while the watch keeps circling around and stopping or pausing to try and repeat to connect to iPhone. Did chat with apple worker yesterday, which restarted the process it repeated to show the issue. Brother got his Apple ID account off of it then updated it to 8.7.1 before I started to connect it to cell and to my Apple ID, it keeps stopping at 8.7.1… so then looked up this 8.7.1 for this watch series 3 it’s common for many. Cell is up to date software wise. The watch only shows wants to connect to cell not laptop.
Each time restart it to connect to cell, watchOS 8.7.1 addresses an issue that may cause apple watch series 3 to unexpectedly restart for some users. Only once got it to show 6.3 before back to 8.7.1. While first tried to connect day after xmas and brother disconnected from it and updated it, it does nothing for 2 hours

Hi. First of all, thank you. this was very helpful. Unfortunately, I have tried everything myself and nothing has worked. I have a call with the Engineers tomorrow with Mac, hope they can help me. My Issue is that I still have a Series1 Apple watch and an iPhone 11. For some reason, the watch asked to be updated, but after that, it wouldn't pair anymore. It pretty much kept on giving me the runaround. Update this, pair this...blah blah blah...My wife and I have the same watch, the issue happened to her first after the update. I didn't update until I had to - then it happened to me too. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
I reached out to apple because I got a message of not being able to upgrade because I’m not connected to WiFi. We tried so many things over the phone and it was unsolved, Apple says it’s an on going issue that they are trying to fix.

Having a problem connecting apple watch series 1 to iphone 11 13.6v, it actually pairs but was stuck on the software update. Then I tried pairing my apple watch to my old phone, iphone 6s and it works. I think old watch and old phone is compatible and not the other way around. Hope this helps! Edited: I successfully sync my apple watch series 1 to my iPhone 11 13.7os. What I did, since at first it connects to my 6s, I updated the latest software for my 6s (13.7) then updated watchOS. Then I unpair it then pair to my iphone 11 with the same version of os Just try your best to pair your watch, since I’ve read that all apple watch is still supported. ❤️

So brobro, I’ll try to make it short n sweet… upgraded my iphone 12 pro max to 15 pro max, had to pair my apple watch s6 to new phone. Did the reset and paired it n its having Bluetooth issues. Essentially it’s thinking my watch is two different watches…its showing my apple watch as connected in my device list but keeps popping up a “new device” in the Bluetooth list and just keeps on popping up a pairing code but but wont pair to that code because its paired to the other… and i cant do forget device for the apple watch thats already in the list because it just says adjust apple watch settings using watch app on iphone. That update message is a default message you get when the 2 os's don't see a number they like you would have to check compatability, even though the apple watch hardware is technically compatible. The older watches only go up to a certain level of watch os and the level you have might not be compatible with the newer ios level
I've had it with these. My wife's phone is too old but they never say that you need a newer phone to work. Mine just won't connect. I don't have the time or patience to screw around with these. Back to Walmart they go. What a pain in the ass!

You would have to check compatability, even though the apple watch hardware is technically compatible. The older watches only go up to a certain level of watch os and the level you have might not be compatible with the newer ios level
URTechSupport I am having the same problem? I don’t understand why it’s not compatible? It won’t let my watch update to the newest version, it checks for updates and then says it’s updated but it’s stuck on 4.8.4
i haven’t used my series 2 in a year and i have iphone 11 and i can’t use it anymore. glad i paid 400$ for it it’s updated and every time i try somthing new it gets stuck on the update screen and tells me it’s up to date apple is waste of my fucking time
I have a 6th Reason for you. I found out that the gen 1 watches max out at Watch OS 4.3.2 and that OS is not compatible with iOS 13. Which basically means that if you upgrade to a new phone with an old watch, you could end up not being able to use the watch anymore, even if it's in perfect working condition. So the watch can only be used with and iPhone 6 or older. So at this point, there's nothing I can do with the watch except throw it in the trash, as it can't be traded in either!
I can get the watch to connect but I can’t pair it. Once I connect it and go through the process in the watch app. It send the watch into a screen with the apple logo and green spirals around it. I’ve tried resetting network, resetting watch, updating to iOS 15.3, even trying a new phone. On the 2nd phone I get a little bit further in the pairing process, but it stops me at “phones needs to update” so it might be a 15.3 issue. Anyone have this issue?

I have a 6s iPhone that was paired to two watches the original watch and a series 4. I recently updated to the latest update for the phone and now my series 4 won't update. It gets as far as you're up to date 5.3.7 and won't go any further. So my series 4 is useless at this point. Is there any way to get the phone to go past that point? I think it's a software issue because I did all the other steps you said do. The watch does connect but it can't go further because of the phone.
This is not always the case, I have a iPhone X & series 5 watch, upgraded to iPhone 11 Pro max BUT...... will not pair to new phone telling me my software on the phone is out of date even though im running 13.6.1 which is the latest IOS

Apple watch series 6 running WatchOS 7, and iPhone X running iOS 14.0.1. Everything was working fine, then suddenly yesterday the watch data quit syncing with my phone. Watch doesn't stay connected under Bluetooth. I have rebooted both phone and watch. I don't want to unpair and re-pair them though, because the watch app on my phone won't open. When I select the app, it flashes briefly then crashes. Help!

My Apple Watch was totally fine (was paired with my iPhone) the thing is I tried to updated and once it did there was this message that say it couldn't paired and has been in a loop since then it displays a code to introduce in the iPhone and then comes the apple on the watch and that circle that needs to go around and get completed life twice and then appears the figure of an iPhone with a watch suggesting that it needs to pair and a the same time there is a message in the phone that says that it could paired. later there is this message that says that the apple watch needs to be updated or restore and then the loop begins uggghhhh it killing me. I don't live in the us so I don't have where to go to fix it. What do you suggest>? thanks!

1. Force Restart Your Apple Watch: Press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
2. Reset Your Apple Watch: If you can't update or restore your Apple Watch using your iPhone, try erasing your Apple Watch and setting it up as new. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings on your Apple Watch. This will erase everything, so make sure you have a backup.

I’m having a problem with an Apple Watch series 3 with a 6S and the update had some kind of issue and I need to delete the watch update and try again but can NOT figure out how to do this. Can you help? The phone is updated to iOS 13
Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone.
Go to General > Usage > Software Update.
Delete the update file. Click Delete again to confirm. This will remove the WatchOS software update.
Now go to General > Software Update and try to download it again.
URTechSupport The watch wouldn’t pair so I couldn’t get in to any of that but the other advice that you gave in that video did help me get it repaired and working in the advice that you gave was to just keep trying if something doesn’t work and eventually it would work which I did so I do appreciate the videos that you make and you were a big help so thank you for that

Thank you! You confirmed what I was afraid of, incompatibility. Apparently the watch factory reset does not reset the original firmware? I had a series 2 watch paired with my iphone 7, ios-15, no problem, at some point the watch firmware was updated while being used on ios15. I have since received a new watch and retired the old series 2 for my grandson to use on his older iphone 6 that only runs ios12.55, yes, the old series 2 watch firmware will not let me use it on ios12, even after a watch reset. bummer

Phone and laptop knew about the watch, while the watch keeps circling around and stopping or pausing to try and repeat to connect to iPhone. Did chat with apple worker yesterday, which restarted the process it repeated to show the issue. Brother got his Apple ID account off of it then updated it to 8.7.1 before I started to connect it to cell and to my Apple ID, it keeps stopping at 8.7.1… so then looked up this 8.7.1 for this watch series 3 it’s common for many. Cell is up to date software wise. The watch only shows wants to connect to cell not laptop.
Each time restart it to connect to cell, watchOS 8.7.1 addresses an issue that may cause apple watch series 3 to unexpectedly restart for some users. Only once got it to show 6.3 before back to 8.7.1. While first tried to connect day after xmas and brother disconnected from it and updated it, it does nothing for 2 hours

Hi. First of all, thank you. this was very helpful. Unfortunately, I have tried everything myself and nothing has worked. I have a call with the Engineers tomorrow with Mac, hope they can help me. My Issue is that I still have a Series1 Apple watch and an iPhone 11. For some reason, the watch asked to be updated, but after that, it wouldn't pair anymore. It pretty much kept on giving me the runaround. Update this, pair this...blah blah blah...My wife and I have the same watch, the issue happened to her first after the update. I didn't update until I had to - then it happened to me too. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

I reached out to apple because I got a message of not being able to upgrade because I’m not connected to WiFi. We tried so many things over the phone and it was unsolved, Apple says it’s an on going issue that they are trying to fix.

After updating my series 1 watch (after prompting by iphone Xs) my watch still pairs but will not let me set up the watch. The only option the phone gives is to reset the watch or update again. SMH......

Having a problem connecting apple watch series 1 to iphone 11 13.6v, it actually pairs but was stuck on the software update.
Then I tried pairing my apple watch to my old phone, iphone 6s and it works. I think old watch and old phone is compatible and not the other way around. Hope this helps!
Edited: I successfully sync my apple watch series 1 to my iPhone 11 13.7os. What I did, since at first it connects to my 6s, I updated the latest software for my 6s (13.7) then updated watchOS. Then I unpair it then pair to my iphone 11 with the same version of os

So brobro, I’ll try to make it short n sweet… upgraded my iphone 12 pro max to 15 pro max, had to pair my apple watch s6 to new phone. Did the reset and paired it n its having Bluetooth issues. Essentially it’s thinking my watch is two different watches…its showing my apple watch as connected in my device list but keeps popping up a “new device” in the Bluetooth list and just keeps on popping up a pairing code but but wont pair to that code because its paired to the other… and i cant do forget device for the apple watch thats already in the list because it just says adjust apple watch settings using watch app on iphone. Its like I’m literally stuck of tried unpairing and repairing from watch app and doing factory reset on the apple watch like 10 times I have spent hours on this issue n Im to the point i just want to smash my watch with a hammer. That update message is a default message you get when the 2 os's don't see a number they like you would have to check compatability, even though the apple watch hardware is technically compatible. The older watches only go up to a certain level of watch os and the level you have might not be compatible with the newer ios level

I've had it with these. My wife's phone is too old but they never say that you need a newer phone to work. Mine just won't connect. I don't have the time or patience to screw around with these. Back to Walmart they go. What a pain in the ass!

Call your service provider. It has to do with the EID on your apple watch.

You would have to check compatability, even though the apple watch hardware is technically compatible. The older watches only go up to a certain level of watch os and the level you have might not be compatible with the newer ios level

I have a 6th Reason for you. I found out that the gen 1 watches max out at Watch OS 4.3.2 and that OS is not compatible with iOS 13. Which basically means that if you upgrade to a new phone with an old watch, you could end up not being able to use the watch anymore, even if it's in perfect working condition. So the watch can only be used with and iPhone 6 or older. So at this point, there's nothing I can do with the watch except throw it in the trash, as it can't be traded in either!

I can get the watch to connect but I can’t pair it. Once I connect it and go through the process in the watch app. It send the watch into a screen with the apple logo and green spirals around it. I’ve tried resetting network, resetting watch, updating to iOS 15.3, even trying a new phone. On the 2nd phone I get a little bit further in the pairing process, but it stops me at “phones needs to update” so it might be a 15.3 issue. Anyone have this issue?
