Been in the painting and decorating trade for 16 years. I love spraying ceilings for it quickness and the beautiful finished look. The only downside to it is the covering everything because the overspray gets into the tiniest of gaps!
Good video Bill. I love this exact sprayer and highly recommend never rolling paint ever again. it is much faster once you mask up everything. While the video is great, please for those at home: 1) WEAR a respirator ALWAYS when spraying! You dont want to be breathing in this stuff, and you WILL even if you can't see it. 2) I would mask up the fans entirely, not just the top of the fan connected to the ceiling like in this video. It's extremely likely you will get excess spray on anything you don't mask. Spend the extra hours to seal everything! 3) get the extension rod for the sprayer (about 100 bucks from Bunnings but worth it) for painting ceilings or hard to reach areas.
It’s quicker while painting but surely the preparation makes it longer than traditional mention. Not to mention the potential mess from spraying. Roller for me
@@commanderkeen3787 A matter of taste. I personally wouln't roll any area you spray if possible because I like the uniform smooth finish from spraying. Plus it'll significantly increase the total time needed to paint walls (why not just rollin the first place instead if you want the rolled finish). You'll see the roller paint pattern on the sections of sprayed wet paint where you roll, which will look different to the nice smooth finish you'll get elsewhere from the sprayer. If some sections after spraying dont look right, instead of back rolling, let the paint all dry then spray the bits you missed again. If you experience wet paint droplet lines down the wall, instead of rolling them while they are still wet, sand them back and respray once the wall is dry
Seems like a good product, but it seems like (as it has a trolley) it would have made sense to have a platform/bucket that the paint tin could sit on, so you could actually wheel it around without having to remove the paint tin and carrying it separately
Yes, and if you compare price between 350m and 350r, the 350m with unusable trolley costs 130€ more where I live. Makes no sense to buy the 350m for me.
The round loop hook at the front of this machine is meant for the handle of a 5 gallon bucket. Rest the bucket handle on the hook and wheel away around. High boys are meant for commercial use with 5 gallon buckets… the short boys are used for small jobs when a 1 gallon bucket is being used. But most new machines have flexible hoses for both 1 and 5 gallon situations. 😊 you can also rest a 1 gallon bucket inside a 5 gallon bucket then the handle of the 5 gallon can hook on to the machine and the gallon can stays safe inside the larger 5 gallon bucket.
Great review but the pressure was a little too high you had it on mark 2 and as you sprayed the wall you can see it left two lines which are called tails and that indicates that the pressure was a little to high, try spraying and 1.5/1.7 until you have no tailing and you should get a even better finish less over spray and saving in paint, hope this tip helps but again great video👍🏾
Hey I have this unit do you know why the tip won’t spray?? Unit primes and builds pressure, paint comes out but as soon as I use the tip no spray comes out
Great vidoe. Overlap 50% .. Hard edge on spraying means either thick paint or pressure is low... Dont go over spray area twice" like u did with cornice " on cold days u will get runs. This is a airless unit that only sprays water based paints. For enamel paint u will need air assisted pump . It has 2 hoses from unit to gun 1 for paint and 1 for air. It can be done with your machine but u will need a tip size around 208 210 and must use a brush to go over sprayed area to clesn up paint runs . Thumbs up for grest video.
Ill give you a tip mate also when cleaning it out. Take the hoses of and wash them clean wash all the paint residue out on the lawn or laundry tub. Then put the hoses straight back in clean water.. Run the prime hose back into the tin of paint when you see it start to get watery switch to a seperate bucket or point it down a drain or a bathtub once you see clear comin out of the prime hose or even light milky white its clean and wash the main hose/gun out the same way. So clean suction hoses drop in clean water reconnect reprime until comes out clear then switch to pray same practice. Pull the guard off dont leave the tip on as that wears the tip. Then next start up its nice and clean.

Hello Frank from Denmark. After watching your amazing video of this product, I'm really looking forward to using it in real life when I get it home. In Denmark, this machine costs DKK 4,500, in My Fair price when you think about what you get for this price. Again, Thank you very much for the video clip, it helps to see it in use before you buy it. So thank you for that.

I always use 88 mm brush for cornice and 460mm fluffy roller to finish ceiling. It takes me (only one person)half a day (4 hours) to finish the ceiling for a normal 4x2 house.
It's good news for painters that they can get a painting job done quickly and to a high standard which means less effort on their part. Sadly, the cost of house painting is not reflected in the quick turnaround and less elbow grease!
Would you use it on the interior walls? I hear you get a better finish rolling? Are you going to spray the skirting and architrave next? And do cut ins with a large painters shield? I really want to see you use it more and get some 4k well lit footage of the finished result please. Ceilings do look flawless fare play. The red button for the ball valve isn't for priming or to get started if your machine starts spitting or not spraying right hit that button it clears the ball valve on the pump for the piston the let the dried up latex or dibre free.
Also small step ladder get you up 1ft or so then you get it closer to the ceiling. Without extension thats the way to do it when your distance is wrong should be about 12 inches away. Any more your wasting alot of paint.. I realise this is your first time on one but if there is any mist at all youll greatly reduce that by the distance between gun and surface even though its a high production low overspray setup there still is a reasonable amount of silica dust and overspray.
Great video. I have the same sprayer i have used it once on outside masonry paint worked a treat was happy with the results. I am no pro but shouldn't you keep your finger on the trigger when switching from prime to spray? Forgive me if I am wrong still no expert myself.
Did you have any issue with paint getting into the air, you know like dust and then having a fine coat go over everything. Noticed you didn't cover the windows? Trying to work out how much prep I need to do protecting windows and door frames
there will be droplets everywhere so cover your windows. also the technique uses is wrong and there will be buildup of paint at the start and finish. you have to have the gun moving when you press the trigger else it packs on a lot of paint at the start
It looks like you need a little bit more airpressure, or thinner paint. If you do that the small stripes between will not be there. In 17:19 are the stripes i mean. Otherwise really nice job

I’d like to know if you are still using this regularly and if it’s reliable? I’m looking at buying a sprayer to paint my entire house, inside and out. I’ve been reading reviews on Bunnings and it seems some of the smaller/ cheaper Wagner sprayers have faults after a few uses. Let me know what you think
Still going strong, I would always recommend the larger unit 👍
@@billshowto thanks for the advice I’ll keep my eye out for the bigger one
I'm not a decorator why the hell did I watch the whole video?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
This a painter bro
Bill's fun to watch.
Satisfaction 😂
Lol
I use the 440 titan for trim and the 840 for walls
Awesome review, do you think it gonna work on the textured wall?
Another thing, walk the whole distance of the wall or ceiling, you will get lap Mark's when it dries,
Heads up ' not a bad unit for the $ do your homework between both suppliers'Bunnings n Miter 10 ' iv 2 Wagners 1 has done more work then the other ' this same model iv used on 3 Comercial jobs totalling 250hrs spray time' no issues ' final clean Wagner lube ' outstanding!
This is Amazing... thank you bro👌👍👊
