So many people are gone and loss is one of the hardest things. I have spent decades grieving for people I love who are not here any longer and whether it is a death in the family or of a close friend or the loss of a partner I truly loved, it makes very little difference. This song brings me to tears and so does Shine and a few others of David's songs. I know he understands because I can feel it in his voice and read it in his lyrics. Some people never recover from this. I am still trying but it is so hard and these songs are like therapy. Loss is forever and that is why it is so hard sometimes especially when you truly love the person as much as your inner soul or being will allow.
