Miami needs to win the acc first before we start taking about a national championship
Don't get it twisted. The only people talking about national championships and "Is Miami back?", is the media. They do this every year because it sells. You'll get opposing fanbases jumping all over Miami fans for something the outside media started. The game they have played in the past is they will turn on Miami midseason when the team didn't live up to the hype the media created blaming Miami fans for being delusional when the Miami fans as a whole had nothing to do with it.
Andrea Adelson (U of Florida grad) ESPN's Miami Hurricanes beat writer has already asked, "Is Miami back." She is already claiming Miami fans are asking this question, when a majority of Miami fans are not. This will rouse up the rest of the college football world to drive traffic to ESPN. Then she'll double back with the delusional Miami fanbase take.
If anything, most Miami fans have PTSD and don't think the team will get to 10 wins. I'm in the camp that Miami will win 10 games and play for an ACC title. That has to be the expectation because so much money and effort went into building this roster to compete in 2024. Anything less would be a setback for NIL and athletic department donations to the program. Why go through all that effort and money just to win 1-2 more games than 2023? It has to be a 10+ win season. I think Mario gets it done.

You need a rock solid defense, an elite coach, and a consistent quarterback to win a championship. Miami is missing two out of three.
Their athletic department need a complete and overhaul and reboot. Fire the AD and very athletic coach there and start the renewal cleansing process. Nah, just participating in athletics is good enough for Miami. They have their trophies and banners from the good ole days.

Yo you're like 3 years behind genius. Miami retooled everything when Mario got there, we got Clemson's AD. The reason Miami has been doing so well in the off season is because the program is finally coming back together again. It didn't change overnight but Miami didn't hire a Jerry rigger either.
And to all the people who say Miami has always recruited well, they must be on crack. We did well considering we sucked, top 25. With Mario it's been top 10 (and we sucked) a top 5 (we were mediocre) and next year who knows? Miami always had talent the last 15 years in the same way that Louisville has talent but that's about to change.
It didn't happen overnight and so it won't be fixed overnight, but they're trying, and that's far more than they've done in a while. Miami fans still complaining just enjoy complaining.

Them boys in Moral Gables need to concentrate on winning a Conference title first. They have been in the ACC for over 20 years and have been once and scored 3 points 😂. They are hoping that Clemson, FSU and NC State leave so they may actually have a chance at winning one.
No it’s the first time in 20 years that they are spending money on the football program. Miami had 3 recruiters when Mario came in and Mario had 12 at Oregon. I guess you didn’t see that Miami got the #1 qb,then #1 running back & #1 receiver in the spring. All Miami transfers started last season with the teams they left & were #2 in freshman snaps last season. Don’t be a 🧌.

I don't think Mario has proven himself to be a very good game day Coach yet, but I believe he is the type of man to get better every year so watch out. What he is Great at is recruiting and in a few years Miami's roster will be no different than Georgias , Alabama , etc talent wise. Will Coaching be the difference ? Only time will tell......

Miami fans have said nothing about a CFP championship. Most Miami fans have PTSD and think 9 wins is the ceiling. I think the Miami roster is capable of winning 10+ games and winning the ACC. That is my personal goal for the team. I'd say 99.99% of Miami fans don't believe this is a CFP championship team. Most would consider an ACC championship game appearance as a step forward and winning the ACC as a bonus.

No, the media does. They create the narrative and shove it down your throats to digest. You consume it and then blame the Miami fans for something the media starts every year. Just pay attention to who is saying it, not the handful of fans that believe it and respond on social media. Even those few fans are not the one's starting these narratives. The media pushes the narrative. The majority of Miami fans have PTSD. They have a wait and see attitude.

Miami is a weird case where they usually dont suck, as in, lacking talent. Miami is cursed to suffer catastrophe every season. A 3 game stretch where the offense is utterly incompetent, 50% of the starters being injured. Im not that upset about the fumble at GT, things happen, if it worked out nobody would have dwelled on it, and then the like 80 yard drive in 20 seconds that really lost us that game.
You know, that kind of shit. The world turns, what was may come again, but only if Miami gets out of their own way. Miami was only like an 8-9 win team last year anyways, they weren't going anywhere deep but the conversation around them could easily be different.

Mario's game day coaching is horrendous, not to mention his lack of halftime adjustments! Im a cane fan and i dont believe in mario
Here's a news flash for you. Mario is not an OC or DC. They're the one's making the adjustments. I do think Mario medled in the offense last year telling Dawson to be conservative with our interception ATM at QB. He needs to stay out of the way and let his coordinators do their jobs. Mario only has 3 things to do on game day given is not and has never been a coordinator.
1) Keep his team motivated.
2) Call appropriate timeouts.
3) Make 4th down an 2 point conversion decisions.
