Holbein Water Brushes are good, they have a breather hole so the air does not contaminate when it suck air in when you use it. But they are hard to get hold of. They hold a lot of water and have a good point.
Thanks for this. I can’t believe they’ve been around for 15 years! But in a pinch, a small spray bottle filled with water may do. Or large-you can have access to a lot of water without having to worry about spilling.
Thanks so much - very glad you found it useful. The flat brushes could be quite interesting filled with ink or wash. Though you will find they are not as good quality as an average paint brush - which has much finer bristles. Probably better suited to big and bold calligraphy rather than finer work.

Thanks for the tip! I’ve never seen one before but I’ll keep an eye out :)
Really good review, great idea about putting ink/paint in the reservoir.
Thanks Joe! The fine ones make really good - and cheap - ink brush pens :)
Thank you for this video! I think im going to get a set of three Derwent ones, theyre the most affordable ones i could find
That’s probably a good choice as a taster. The Pentel ones are nice but most are very small - I think I only ever use the big one :)
Thanks for the tips!

@@pennycandyys I was just packing my bag the other day, saw my sprayer, and I had that exact same thought. I’ll give it a go next time :)

This was very helpful.
Glad to be of service :)
Never heard of a water brush before. Neat!!!!! You got a nice shout out in my last video. Hope it helps
Ah, thanks so much to you both - what a lovely moment. I shall have to do a Model A drawing film so I can repay the favour :)
@@StefanMarjoram Technically, wouldn't I have to draw something and send it to you to truly repay the favor? I owe you BIG TIME!
