It really is amazing how comprehensive it is to finding that go to perfect bag. It really comes down to an individual’s POV and the type of occasions the bag fits. That’s why we need all those options! Thank you Hannah for another great Vlog and sharing your expertise on the peculiarities.
Great idea for a video, Hanna! Being in my early 40s, I've grown tired of buying very expensive handbags and realizing all too late the quirks 😂 Like you, I am picky, and we should be when spending more than $1k on a bag. These types of things really do become annoying over time. So, I'm more likely to stick to certain bag designs now that are pretty classic, are easier to open close, etc. I was told by a store director at Celine, regarding the sharp hardware - the bag was designed to be worn with blazers (the classic Celine look) and therefore it wouldn't bother the shoulder 🙄 It's a fall/winter bag. I found that interesting. Also, that Hedi Slimane created the Triomphe bag to "correct" the issues with the Classic (shoulder strap not being adjustable plus the sharp hardware).
Interesting about the Celine Classic box bag because I only wear it over blazers or coats, period! I guess that’s what they intended but it’s a bit limiting then. 🤔 So glad you enjoyed the video! I’m with you… simple, classic, practical - that’s the way to go!
For the Antigona, I bought the smallest o-rings from Amazon and connected the two d-rings. PATIKIL 18x11x3.5mm Spring Gate O Rings, 5 Pack Round Snap Clip Zinc Alloy for Keyrings Buckle, Silver
My antigona bag that I bought this year has never had a strap incident. I think they made the opening on the clasp smaller and made the d ring indent lower so they're more difficult to line up? I tried to make it fall off and haven't been able to
I’ve got a preloved red Antigona and the falling off strap annoys the heck out of me. Mine is still quite ‘bitey’ in the zip department too. If, in the future, I find a nice red bag (my dream would be a Kelly 28 Retourne but that’ll take a lot of saving) then I’ll sell it on. Whilst I love the look of the Birkin I’d never want to own one. A bag that is that much faff to close isn’t functional enough for me and I like to be able to close my bags so my stuff isn’t on display.
Thanks for walking through some things to consider about these bags that you wouldn’t know unless you had them! These are helpful things to consider for these (and similar) bags!
I can relate with the Givenchy zipper. I love my Givenchy nano backpack but when my hands are extremely dry during winter, I feel the pain when getting into that bag lol. Another quirk that I remember is the Longchamp Le Pliage's button at the backside gets snag on knits so do not wear them with knits especially chunky loose knits.
I watched your video about lady dior's quirks before buying the black matte in small size. The cones are so slippery that I scratched it 2 days after I got it for tipping over so much. I still love my bag and over time just learned to be more careful when putting it down😅. Other than that, I am fine with the other quirks that you mentioned about the lady dior. Thank you for the great and helpful video once again!
I have that Polene in both sizes and the big one is quite big - it would be great if there was a midi size, I think that would be perfect. I have an antigona in the same size and the straps have never done that, luckily! But I can’t think of anything I do differently to avoid it.
You can use the shrink tube to hold the clip opening so it won’t unhook from your D ring. I use it on all my Coach hangtags because sometimes they fall off and you can’t replace them.
You can't? I have walked into Coach stores asked for & received new hang tags no hassle & no charge. Also would this work for the Cassie 19 random strap detaching issue as well?
@@michellejacobsen331No. They do not have hangtags for seasonal or limited edition color bags. Their standard hangtags don’t match the color or texture of the bag either.
Out of all of the bags, I'm liking givenchy and Celine so far. I don't think their quirks would bother me in comparison so the other bags quirks. I struggle with the CD tipping over all the time(filled or not). It flipped over and it was an embarrassing situation to say the least. It's On my 'to go' list unfortunately . Don't even get me started in the Birkin. I will never buy it just cause of the flap issue it has. Great video. Thank you❤❤❤
It’s funny how some quirks are just quirks and other quirks are way too annoying to deal with! 😂 My Lady Dior has been on the chopping block several times but has survived til now - so I know what you mean!
my biggest irk about 9 lives/lady dior is the flap thing to get in! just do a zipper or nothing at all. i have seen older versions with zippers, i wonder what made them change it.
Great video! I love your bracelets, beautiful little stack. Do you know of a good similar looking inexpensive dupe for your tennis bracelet? Have never found a great looking CZ version. I have small wrists like you prob 6”.
I was wondering if you ordered DUYP‘s recent version of the LV P. Métis.. I was planning to purchase and looked at the promotional pictures online & their stitching seemed so off.. should I wait for a review or are you going to skip this one?
Please do more of such video whenever you have compiled enough information! I have definitely been eyeing the Lady Dior and Polene and now I am not buying them.
Hi!!! A bit off topic but… would do you a winter coat/jacket review? I’m heading to NY next month and not sure what the best option is. Puffer? Peacoat? Trench? Leather? I’d appreciate any feedback. Thx!
It shouldn’t be too too cold in March so a warm peacoat should be fine - wool or cashmere. A trench may be a bit chilly unless you layer quite a bit underneath. I think the puffer may be a bit much in March, especially if you’re visiting in mid-late March. BUT… it tends to rain more near the spring time, so perhaps something waterproof or water resistant as a backup.
Brutal and honest is the best combination. 😂 We all get drunk on these bags but only know the quirks after having used them for a while. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you for sharing such practical insights, Hanna! Knowing these little details is crucial when considering an expensive handbag purchase. I particularly appreciated your point about the tight opening of the Poen bag, which is a significant consideration for someone like me who often needs quick access to my phone and keys. Your video has made me realize the importance of thoroughly understanding all aspects of a bag before buying, to ensure it truly fits my lifestyle. Keep up with the valuable content!
Mine is actually a custom design from our personal jeweler. It’s not VCF although I know which bracelet you’re referring to - it’s actually different design if you look carefully. 😊
Get yourself a bag hook for the table they sell them at most places. It's a little balancing hook you get you put the hook and on the table and then there's a little catch-up underneath the table for the bag. Keep your bag off the floor.
My Coach Cassie 19 does the same thing with the strap randomly detaching! It's so embarrassing to have it just fall off my shoulder while I'm just walking and being normal
When I bought my polene nuerf mini they did tell me ppl complain about not being able to put things in. Me being tiny w tiny hands i do not have those issues. ex I'm 5ft tall and my ring finger is 3.25.
I appreciate the informative video. Great information. BTW congrats on carrying your Lady Dior. That’s awesome u are giving it another chance. It’s a beautiful bag, I love the color. I hope it works for ur lifestyle and u decide to keep it. TFS ❤🌹
I don't think you are picky at all. Every flaw (or aggravating issue) with your bags would irritate me too. So thanks for this video - it was very informative.

So true! It all depends on what works for each of us. Some quirks are still okay and some quirks are absolutely unbearable. 😂 Thanks for watching

@@hellocatwalkcity I'm lurking to get the mini Antigona, could you maybe tell what is the name of your colour? It's sooo beautiful😍

This is my first video of yours I’m seeing - demonstrating how your iPhone fits in the first bag is super helpful - thanks!! 😊
Glad it was helpful!

I had same issue with other Givenchy nightingale crossbody bag.

Had the same issue with my Polene neuf mini being difficult to get my possessions in/out of. Glad I wasn't the only one.
That Givenchy strap flaw is terrible! I would be worried to use the strap in case I dropped the bag! Thanks for sharing these experiences ❤
Yup, they really should’ve caught this during design check / inspection.
Great video!

oh I love your ring ( right hand !!)
Thank you for sharing that, especially about the Celine bag. I was considering a used one, but decided not to thanks to your video, I can’t do sharp.
Glad the video was helpful!

Great video and so helpful . Really love the simplicity of the polene bag, my hands could just about fit in 😂Thanks for sharing 💕
So glad the video was helpful! They made the opening on the Polene just big enough to shimmy our way in! 😂
Loved your video. That Brutal honesty is the usp of your video. I was in splits watching Lady Dior bag becoming drunk and swaying😂

Great video! Louis Vuitton Coussin, the old style, is terrible to get the shoulder strap caught! It is so frustrating I don't reach for it! UHHHHHH!
