Oda’s great at referencing different stories and media in one piece. I think having a lovecraftian type character is well within the realm of possibility.

@@might4362 my guess it’s a higher tier of observation haki. we saw mihawk is called hawk eyes and stated nothing unseen goes around when he’s their. or that nothing gets past his eyes. we saw luffy when he unlocked future sight his eyes crew that line but it was undefined. mihawk pointed out luffys future sight in marine ford so he obviously knows what it is. and for a ruler over 800 years old i’d expect him to have the highest amount of haki in each stat as possible

I always thought the Warlords were a direct response to the creation of the Yonko. The only reason they are abolishing them because Luffy is screwing with the Yonko so much.
The warlords being useful and expendable is part of why I think they were formed. In response to the Yonko, the world government created a group of pirates who had great power or reputation to be able to fight against them. If the warlords die then a bunch of potentially dangerous pirates die rather than a lot of marines. I expect that the number was set at seven to keep them under control. Too many of them could be a serious threat. As far as them being abolished, Doflamingo and Crocodile have each caused scandal's in countries under the jurisdiction of the world government. Law and Jimbe have quit along with Blackbeard. Boa Hancock and others have proven to be difficult to control. The warlords are considered government dogs, but a dog that bites the hands of their masters and do not obey commands becomes a problem. Luffy is involved in the sense that has exposed the actions of two of them and led to two others resigning and others being disobedient. He has a role to play in this certainly, but the warlords didn't do themselves any favors in this regard.

I too have at times watched Tekking's videos before sleeping and while showering
every single night for nearly 2 years i’ve been falling asleep to a tekking video, and then sometime in the day i rewatch them when i’m awake again to get the bits i missed

It'd be flawed if it makes you a zombie or a walking corpse. If the df user has medical skills like a surgeon there's no limit to what the user could do such as healing people etc. But here's the kicker the op move of the fruit turns you into a zombie 🤷🏼♂️ just doesn't gel for me.

Also yes there are seemingly no real limits to what The OP OP no mi can heal. BUT we do know it directly affects "souls" as the heart swap changes the "soul" of the 2 targets. If your body dies and Law gives his body to your soul youd not be normal, maybe immortal, but 100% not correct as there are limits to what can legitimately be fixed. If kiku's arm was turned to ash I dont think law could fix it

if Im controls the moon, that makes sense because of all that stuff about Enel and the moon that was introduced in those cover stories. With all that stuff, the moon is probably going to be important and set up something big and there's a lot of mysteries about it, so it would make sense if an important antagonist (Im) or some kind of arc takes place on the moon or has some relevance to the moon. But I didn't think about this much, so I could be completely wrong.

a way to look at it is that the gorosei ARE the highest authority but they do listen to the kings and Queens ideas and discussions, they present their cases to the gorosei and then they are the ones who have the last word.
And as you mentioned, so long as their ideas dont intervene with Im's plans they do apply said ideas.
Some days are harder than others. And on those days I just don't know what I would do without your videos. Thank you for the content you make, Matt.

The American System, where the world government is the federal government, and the laws they make affect the whole system, and the individual kingdoms are like states, they can make laws in there state but they can’t contradict the federal law
These videos are like when you and a buddy are just spit balling about your favorite shows
I think Im-sama could have a land based devil fruit explaining why the world looks the way it does, why different landscapes have different attributes despite being close together and why certain islands seem to disappear off the face of the earth.

I's say it's more like the Gorosei are seen to serve as the administrators of the World Government polices. Whenever a Reverie meets they set down policy and dictate new laws, but it's the Gorosei who are actually expected to run things on the day to day decision making front as far as everyone who doesn't know about Im is concerned.

I learned origami in early middle school. Longest thing I can make is a shape shifting circle square triangle. Takes about 1.75 hours because of the number of folds and needs to be super precise or won't work. But looks awesome (favorite when the paper is dark red)

I think it makes more sense that the Warlord System was introduced after the God Valley incident. Roger himself wasn't really that direct of a danger to the world. I mean the guy turned himself in. On the other hand, the Marines would have failed against Xebec if not for the help of a pirate. I think that's where it came from.
Reverie, or the World Summit, is just a show. The kings and queens gather there as equals to make decisions, but only because IM and Five Elder Stars allow it.

I always thought there were 50 countries currently in WG, not sure why. Anyways, I think that because there are 5 members of the gorusei (or however you spell that) whenever there is a close call, like 24-26 or even 25-25, the gorusei would be the final say on the surface
My Theory is that IM-Sama was the first person to discover the secret of life, kinda like an original dr. Vega punk. That would kinda solve the loyality Problem with the Gorosei since they could just be artifical humans created to serve im and it would explain why they world couverment immidiatly knew how dangerous vega punks invention was and took him in when he found the secret of life.

Imu-sama probably didn't hit the reset button when Rodger found the One Piece because he knew that Rodger couldn't do anything with it. If Im is as old as we think then he might have known JoyBoy and he might have known or even been the reason JoyBoy created/hid/whatever he did with the One Piece which would mean that Im knows exactly when the One Piece can be activated or whatever

What if the reason for the Red line to be so big is because of (just how you described it) IM's tidecontrol (by controlling the different Moons) so if they were trying to do a huge clanzing (don't know how to write it) Mariejois of all places would be the only safe place wouldn't it? My theory on him is that, I think he is "Me" from Sumerian mythology, and the definition of him is literaly " the decrees of the divine that is foundational to those social institutions, religious practices, technologies, behaviors, mores, and human conditions that make civilization."

Luffy is Uranus Over 800 years ago, the leader of the Ancient Kingdom was a giant who wore a Straw Hat. The people of the Ancient Kingdom were the original clan of D. and their leader who for simplicity’s sake will be called “Leader” was one of the early people who possessed the will of D. he was the the man most feared by the 20 Kingdoms because of a strange ability he possessed: He had the power to create an ally out of anyone, friend or foe, and amass an army in mere days. That power was called “Uranus” by the 20 kingdoms, yet none of them knew why he possessed it or how it worked. Knowing that they’d soon be defeated, The Ancient Kingdom decided to pass their history down to future generations via the Poneglyphs. In addition to that, they decided they needed to hide their 3 Ancient Weapons. When it came to Uranus, the Leader devised a plan that would not only fool the World Government, but would at the same time shift their attention onto a useless hat made of straw, when the real threat and the real power of Uranus (the Leader himself) was killed instead . how he managed to fool them into believing that the Large Straw hat itself was Uranus is beyond me, but it isn’t important in this discussion. He might have fed it a Devil Fruit or performed an action on it that made it seem powerful, who knows. As for the small Straw Hat that was newly made by him, he passed it down to a younger kid from the D clan and had him escape before their kingdom’s annihilation. He was to travel the world and amass enough power to take those 20 kingdoms down, but as he reached an old age he realized that it just wasn’t possible, he passed his hat down to a younger member of his crew along with his hopes and dreams. And just like that, the cycle began. The important thing to take note of is that the World Government acquired that large Straw Hat stored in the what would later become the Holy Land Of Mary Geroise. For the longest time , they believed that they had Uranus, one of the 3 Ancient Weapons stored in their vault, and even though they didn’t know how to operate it, just the fact that they had possessed it was good enough, believing that there would become a day in which they were able to wield it. So ironically a large hat made of straw was passed down through generations within the World Government, each generation unable to make it work, while the real threat, the will of D symbolized by a smaller hat made of straw was passed down through generations in the shadows, each generation growing stronger and closer to defeating the World Government. Why the small Straw Hat went unnoticed by the World Government for so long. The reason behind the small Straw Hat’s creation was merely symbolic. Just like the large one, it didn’t possess any hidden power and was nothing special at all. It was merely a symbol of the will of D, the will of the Ancient Kingdom and the 20 Kingdoms who later became the World Government never paid any attention to it because they had no reason to: Hats made of straw aren’t a rarity in the world of One Piece, at least i’d like to believe that, and the owners of the Straw Hat through the different generations had never managed to accomplish anything major, always failing and passing it down to the future generations. I believe Roger was the first D to go far enough to be noticed, and even then , he already passed his hat down to Shanks before being a big enough threat, and Shanks himself passed his hat down to Luffy before becoming an Emperor. This is why neither Roger nor Shanks are known as Straw Hat Roger or Straw Hat Shanks; even though some people remember them wearing it, they weren't a big enough deal when they did. As for why the Leader created it in the first place, he might have intended for it to be some sort of message to the 20 kingdoms. After he and his ancient kingdom had died, he might have wanted the 20 kingdoms to witness their downfall at the hands of a man in a Straw Hat, way of telling them that they had failed and let a D escape , but that obviously never happened and the Straw Hat itself become more of a symbol of D rather than a device aimed at irony and revenge. Luffy is Uranus or rather, he’s another Uranus, with the first and only one having been the Leader. I talked earlier about what power Uranus was capable of. I believe that the Leader of the ancient kingdom possessed the same power that Luffy currently possesses; the power that Mihawk himself praised as being “the most dangerous ability is this entire ocean”. Uranus, or rather Luffy, possesses the power to turn foes distant people into allies willing to sacrifice their lives for his ideals. We’ve seen this multiple times in the past. And it culminated itself in the formation of the Grand Fleet in Dressrosa. Think about it. Pluton is a large ship capable of massive destruction. Poseidon is a mermaid able to talk and command Sea Kings. You’ve got a war ship and massive beast as two weapons of mass destruction. All that’s really left is an army, Which is what Uranus is. And similar to how Poseidon turned out to be to be a living thing, Uranus will turn out to be none other than Luffy. “You’re not the man Roger is waiting for” is what Whitebeard told Black beard before he died to him. The major difference between Luffy and Blackbeard, other than the fact that one is good and one is evil, is that the fact Luffy possesses the one ability to take the World Government down: His heart and and ideals are so pure that foes eventually get moved by them and ally themselves with him. Blackbeard , on the other hand, only knows how to backstab, kill and use people until he got what he needed. He’s not the man Roger or any of the people of the D clan are waiting for because no matter how strong he gets or how many Devil Fruits he amasses, he doesn’t have an army that believes in his ideals, an army ready to sacrifice itself in the blink of an eye to save his life, and he isn’t willing to do the same for them either, unlike Luffy who’s shown multiple times how far he’s go to save a friend. The World Government’s realization. Back to the World Government’s large Straw Hat , the middle of the finder in disguise they took off the Leader of the Ancient Kingdom. For over 800 years, they believed that they’d possessed Uranus. They had no idea how to operate it and spent centuries trying to decipher it. They had it frozen and kept in a well guarded place for that reason. Then a boy shows up wearing a small Straw Hat. stirs up some trouble in Alabasta and a few other islands, but he’s nothing dangerous. He enters the New World a couple of years later, goes down to Fishman Island and takes out Doflimaingo, but again he’s merely one of many troublemakers in people like Kidd and Blackbeard are far more dangerous because of what they’ve done in regards to murdering people. Seeing this all takes shape, a mysterious and important figure from the Mariejois takes Luffy’s bounty and I’m guessing Roger’s as well, goes down to the vault that holds Uranus, compares the bounties to the Large Hat. and it clicks.

I imagine the Gorosei as a council have the ultimate veto power, which the kings probably are aware about. If I remember correctly, the Queen of England also has this ultimate veto power.
In the eyes of general public as well as the kings, this version of a council having to agree to veto something is more just than the Queen's power.

I think the death that was reported at Reverie is Donquixote Mjosgard. I think that the world nobles did not like him going against their ideals so I believed the snuffed him out and blamed it on Sabo and possibly Cobra. And now Sabo and Cobra have been captured and is going to pay for it.
Isn't it more likely that the last cleansing is what ended the Void Century? That would explain why only the WG remembers such an event happening.
This got me thinking....amber lead syndrome....fleevance....it could very well be that was a gorosei/imu sama sanctioned thing. I highly doubt it was just a throwaway reveal for Traffys backstory, its always seemed like there was more to it and now im thinking its something like a deliberate outbreak. With Traffy having an obviously significant role in the main story now, it would be no great stretch to believe that his backstory will be tied to the main plot outside of expositing about Rosinante and his need for revenge on Doffy. I cannot shake there is more to it.
Here is a crazy theory. Imu sama hit Gol d Roger with the plague and that is the reason why he was stricken by it. Because he sailed the world and read all of the poneglyphs. Knowing the history and Roger sacrificed himself to let his crew go. Which would make sense on where the oro Jackson disappeared to.
