Correction on telegraph. He is credited with first electromechanical telegraph in about 1830s. Sir Francis Ronalds has the honor of the first telegraph which used a electrostatic charge and discharge method to convey messages in 1810s.
I'm an engineer not a mathematician. I was explaining the '10,000' hours of work makes you a master, theory to him a while ago. During the conversation I explained to him that people we often refer to as 'genius', were just well educated, dedicated, and lucky. By and large there are no geniuses I said. There are just those that are prepared to do the work, and everyone else. To which he says 'Einstein'. I said, I'm not going into it, he was a borderline case, but Einstein employed a mathematician, and drew on ideas that came before him. To which my son responds.. So there have never been any actual geniuses and I say. Well, of course there was Gauss... :)
Gauss and Euler are the only men whom I believe to be true Geniuses, their intelligence and passion for mathematics matched only by their dedication to their craft. I believe there are men who could've been classed as genius if they worked a bit harder and didn't die so young, Galois as an example, but no-one can hope to ever get to the level of genius of Gauss or Euler.
@@qwertyuiop1tiop590 what about von neumann? Both of those men you mentioned were great men, But most of their work was in mathematics. Von neumann was a polymath, contributing a great deal to multiple fields.
@@sirushti1132 That's fair, to be honest when evaluating genius it's not entirely objective. I name those two because I think them to be the smartest. Of course I could've also named Copernicus, Galois, Newton, Riemann, and more. But Gauss and Euler are the two smartest people I know from history from my limited knowledge. They are what come to my mind when trying to evaluate who is a genius.
@ThyChairman I assume you're an Indian saying that. No doubt he was a first rate genius, but he was no Euler or Gauss, he didn't publish even a fraction of the work they did and his work wasn't nearly as impactful. I must also say I'm saying this as a person who studies mathematics, I don't consider people like Van Gogh or Da Vinci as the smartest people in history when I really should.
Brothers and Sisters, God loves you so very much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ, who bled and died on a cross for you, so that you may have a chance to believe in Him, and by believing in His name you may have eternal life, full of His peace. Without Jesus as your Lord and master, you will always feel an empty void inside of you. And what's more, He has risen back to life so that you may be justified. Jesus loves you, God cares for you! Therefore repent from your ways, and believe the good news.
It's a treat to listen to you and get to know about these rockstars of Science and Mathematics. Thank You So Much!
I like your teaching style!
It's inspiring: calm, accurate and instructive. Good job!
Another interesting video - thank you, and keep them coming!
He is the father of my grandfather 😊
Amazing ❤️😁
Whats your Instagram my Buddy 😁👍
Seriously 😳
😮
Man this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the "3-year-old" story is more urban legend than historical fact.
Amazing!!
Gauss is the unit of magnetic field
He should be as famous as einstein.
Guass
Amazing👍😍 video
I’m still checking at 1:06
Coming back later..
Mining Tree
I like your explain ❤
Thank you.
Gauss look like the guy making this video
Lol
Logging Cave
I like the content.
He invented the Gauss cannon
Great
This video doesn't even mention reciprocity law and elliptic function.
wow! Super! :)
Wait this isn't warframe-
lmao 💀
AMOUNGAUSS BELIEVED IN ALIENS
He had more than 250 iq
I dont have its half of half iq.
