    This makes me miss your New Product Fridays at Sparkfun. I was hoping you'd smack a widget or two on the table near the table corner, for old time's sake.
    Thanks for sharing the demo.

    I know I'm super late to this, but is there a way the ESP module can receive webhooks instead of send them?

    I really need to learn more about these types of projects. This was so far over my head it is embarrassing.

      If you have any questions, just let me know. You might want to start with something basic, like an Arduino, and just make some simple projects. Then move on from there.

    Hey Robert, cool video. Did you make that enclosure for your sonos system or modify an existing enclosure?

    • @JonathanRansom
      @JonathanRansom 6 років тому

      Michael Escamilla he shows where he got the enclosure and how he modified it in this video: ua-cam.com/video/8nuQflp3iRA/v-deo.html

      No worries, if you're anything like me you watch a lot of UA-cam videos so it's easy to forget you watched one every now and then. ;-)

      It shouldn't be any different to add a second button. Just add another set of variables and use another GPIO pin.

    Now that Maker is not Maker anymore but Webhooks. What is the url now? Is it still maker.ifttt.com ?

    Hi, good video, just a quick question, how do you reprogramme the wifi settings or set it back to ap mode? Thanks

    • @RobertCowanDIY
      @RobertCowanDIY  6 років тому

      Check the description, there are links to the SparkFun tutorial, as well as the button code tutorial. Both of these show how to do that part of it. You just load a sketch, connect to the device, and that's pretty much it. Just follow the steps in those tutorials.

    I'm not using a sparkfun board. I have a nodemcu v3. What terminals do I use.d0 and ground?

    • @RobertCowanDIY
      @RobertCowanDIY  6 років тому

      I'm not familiar with that board, but just googling it shows pin-out diagrams. It looks like GPIO16 is what you want.

      Thanks for the reply Robert. I finally got back to working on this.If I put D4=GPI02 to ground I get an event but no notification. When I do a serial monitor, this is what I get. Do you see anything wrong?ThanksTriggerdoor_status Event Pressed 2 times

    Nice work, By any chance do you know how to send a value to the IFTTT ?? Thanks.
    -Alex.

    • @RobertCowanDIY
      @RobertCowanDIY  6 років тому

      I don't think you can. You can only send an event trigger, not specific information or values.

      Hi Robert, Turns out you can pass data on the IFTTT libraries, But bad luck for mi, the first one dont explain how, or even have some example, currently Im using one, that sends data as "value1", value2 and value3, buuuuut..... it must send in char type, Im trying to convert a float type to a char, and send it.
      I make the first part, or the serial monitor says. But no luck in to send a real float.
      I will come back with more information.
      If by any chance you know some magic trick to convert float to char, reach me.
      Thanks.
      -Alex.
