Italy breaks down bcs you reverse the risorgimento happen. Historicaly Piedmont could fight with Austria during 1866, bcs Prussia defeated Austrio in a war for Silesia, so Piedmont allied with prussia against Austrians. In game you defeated Germany and had claims on Italy in the same time, so boom, make it back like in 1815 borders ;)
It’s just a bit weird since Italy wasn’t even in that war. I think what’s meant to happen is if Germany betrays Austria in its focus tree Italy will join Germany and if Austria wins they both get defeated. But all that went out the window because I don’t think I played as intended 😂😂

I have a little tip if you play the ottomans. During peacetime, put your entire army in states with no minorities. Many of the states have minority modifiers with 15% attrition. This bleeds your equipment to ridiculous levels.
I’ll bear that in mind. I’ll need every edge I can get what with the ottomans being the ottomans 😂
There is a secret path for the ottomans if you go down enpowering the sultan and make continue modernization you get a event you click survival can be ensured trough muslim unitiy you get an new ottoman caliphate focus tree
yo dude can you play the darkest hour germany?????? btw italy probably got dismembered because in the 1860s the germans declared war on the austro hungarians and took venice and gave it to the italians and then the states you see had united into 1 italy but since now you as austria hungary defeted germany you got back venice and just blasted italy into its past broken self
Fun fact: Austria-Hungary did not have a national flag, the flag that we commonly associate with the country (the one that was also shown in the thumbnail) was a civil ensign that was only used on merchant ships.
If any flag was used it might have been the Austrian or Hungarian one depending on the context maybe?
