    This was recorded Sunday night so I didn't have curriculum information and this is just a general video. I'll be releasing a video for each track for both the Computer Science Master's and Software Engineering Master's. Post in your own comment below (not a reply to this pinned comment) on which degree and which track you are interested in. Curious to hear your thoughts.
    If you don't have a bachelors already, feel free to go to my website and learn how to hack a bachelor degree in one year:
    www.majormash.com
    Also I have started a WGU Facebook Group for this degree. Check the description.

      It's out now, can't wait to see your new videos on it. Keep up the great work Alex. I think I would do the Masters if my employer paid for it.

    This would be cool for a Cybersecurity or IT student

    Make a video about the SWE masters. I just completed my capstones for the BS SWE, and they launched the masters. It seems like they don't want me to leave 😅😅

    Man, I can't wait until those breakdowns are posted lol. I'm completely torn on which degree to choose because I have a GRC background, but want to pivot towards ML/DE. I want to learn the fundamentals and build my math skills, so I'm leaning towards the MSCSAIML.

    How soon can we expect these in depth track videos to come out for each one?

    I am totally interested in the AI/ML track, as I understand they offer an accelerated Bachelors+Masters track hopefully I can transfer in a majority of classes. I am a HS dropout, how would you self study the math prerequisites as I am going to try and accelerate the entire program

  • @SpiralBJJ
    @SpiralBJJ 3 дні тому

    I have a huge interest in Ecological Psychology and Dynamical Systems Theory, I’m likely pursuing Human Computer Interaction after completing my dual BACS / BSCIS degrees at TESU. Hopefully WGU has put a lot of thought into this program after all this time, still undecided on WGU vs Georgia Tech.

    SWE student at WGU. Just got saw the SWE masters options, although the link for the accelerated bachelors/Masters was broken and goes to IT version instead. Also new AI certainly & individual courses available for a fee too.

    Is the “Foundations of Computer Science” course available yet to take to be admitted into the MS Comp Sci? I couldn’t find it. I have a bachelors degree in non-STEM

    Im wondering about the accelerated degree also wonder about the payment structure if I finish in 1 term. Do I pay the 4k or 8k for the masters as well

    Hey, I’m interested in SWE, if I have an unrelated bachelors…would you recommend just going with masters in SWE since that’s the job I’m aiming for?

    • @alexsheppe
      @alexsheppe  День тому

      Yes but I’d recommend taking an Intro to Programming course and Data Structures and Algorithms course first. Can be from coursera, udacity, even udemy although quality there is questionable.

    I'm so split on which degree to do. I am currently an Associate Android Engineer, mainly self taught. I'm feeling like the CS degree theory would be beneficial for the math and things I haven't learned. I'm trying to decide which path will help me have the best job security and become the best engineer I can be.

    Do you know if the accelerated cs program is still ABET accredited?

  • @SantiagoSainz-x4k

    Can this also be accelerated?

    • @alexsheppe
      @alexsheppe  3 дні тому +1

      Yes all bachelors and masters outside of Nursing and Teaching degrees can be accelerated.

      @@alexsheppe Thanks for answering! This is perfect, I cannot believe this has finally happened. I cannot wait to see your guide on how to accelerate the program. Another question, I got a BS in IT and I work as an Integrations Engineer with Web Technologies. Do you think that this is a good background for this program or should look for some prep courses?

    • @alexsheppe
      @alexsheppe  3 дні тому +1

      @SantiagoSainz-x4k I think you’ll be fine as long as you brush up on Data Structures and Algorithms.

    I have a bachelor degree in psychology and zero experience in computer science. Should I go straight into the masters program in computer science or do the accelerated option?

    • @alexsheppe
      @alexsheppe  3 дні тому +4

      With only a psychology background, I’d highly recommend doing a course in Data Structures, Discrete Math, and Intro to Programming. Check out Udacity or Coursera.

    • @sid4579

      do the accelerated. im so glad that it's an option now,

    i'm an international student i left med school and thinking about a bachelor's in computer science does wgu accept international students for this program i saw it's in a separate category if not is there any other hackable university you'd recommend?

    • @UmarGTGaming
      @UmarGTGaming 3 дні тому

      No they don’t take international students. I believe Arizona State University and Purdue Global are the only online universities accepting international students. Not sure how hackable they are.
