When I was 7 years old I was playing in the attic which I wasn't suppose to. I opened my dad's guitar case and when I saw that guitar it was like seeing an old friend. Before that a guitar hadn't crossed my mind. I didn't even know my dad played or owned a guitar. I spent my entire life as a professional musician traveling the world playing a guitar. I just knew right there that that was my life.

Don't come back. You and I and everyone else shouldn't have to. When really examining NDEs, it becomes clear how much manipulation and trickery there is on the other side. Don't be guilted, shamed, or pressured into doing it again for the sake of "karmic debt " or for the "greater good". If we truly do have free will, and I think that ultimately we do, you don't have to agree to any "soul contract ". Manifest/ create your own realm. The one that YOU want.
Agreed and don’t even think about whether you should come back because many report being sent back simply because they merely thought about the possibility of coming back. That was enough to bring them back. That’s not free will.
I’ve always thought that when you are reborn it’s the light that brings you, like the light that you see when you die. When you grow a plant the seed will not grow with out light.If the plant is alive it will not stay alive without light, it will seek it and if not found, it will die. Many years ago when I was a child I used to think that I was a Flamenco dancer in Spain. My father was a language teacher and taught Spanish. He had a pair of castanets and I picked them up and played them! My parents were in shock! I then saw a picture of a Matador and felt such a connection that I cried. I’m almost 70 and I’m of an Italian and Hungarian background born in the U.S. my parents were immigrants. I don’t want to come back here to earth, I hope I have it right this time but I am with sin, like everyone else. I pray I’m forgiven for those sins and am aloud to stay in heaven.
When my daughter was 3, she told me that she was my mother and died giving birth to my sister. Found out years later that my maternal great grandmother died giving birth to a daughter. My maternal gran had many siblings who passed away quite young too
The question that begs to be asked here is why anyone would "plan" a miserable life? The life I have lived so far is nothing anyone in their right mind would have planned. Do people plan to get a chronic illness, or become drug addicts, or choose parents who are sure to abuse them? Do you choose to be born with a birth defect to learn "lessons?" That makes no sense to me. Having it imposed on me by a higher authority makes more sense. How does my soul know what it needs to learn? From the descriptions we have heard of the spirit realm, why would anyone want to leave that and spend a miserable 70-80 years living a life of suffering on Earth? Are you forced to come back here for your own good over and over again until our sun expands to engulf the planet? Sounds more like a cycle of endless suffering to me. Like a nightmare you cannot wake up from.

Also, why can't we recall any past lives so we can avoid making the same mistakes over and over again? It seems like that would be useful if the goal is to become enlightened. I'm not doubting the ton of anecdotal evidence that some people remember details of past lives that turn out to be true and something they could not possibly have known. It's a mystery. Someone once put it like this. If In past lives you have been pushing people around and doing cruel things to people with your hands then your soul might decide to incarnate with deformed hands in order to finally learn the lessons of kindness. Or maybe your born with a speech impediment because of rude remarks you’ve been making in past lives. Honestly I have no idea though and am still learning and digging for the truth. It kinda makes sense though. Like a person born with no limbs, maybe they needed that specific disability to finally learn a cosmic lesson.
I recently met a Native American/Irish chaplain and we had a long conversation about many things, including the propagandized bible to which he agreed whole heartedly. We spoke of the possibility of our many lives. He said “632” to me and I was perplexed. He told me God talks to him and I truly believed him. He told me, as we were speaking, God told him I’ve lived 632 lives…..MIND BLOWN! I believe we all have had multiple lives, just didn’t realize it has been SO many! I cannot wait to remember all those memories and lessons, explains so much of my dreams.

Ever since I was a child, I have felt a "witness" presence with me. It is as if I am me but also I am not me but looking at me apart from me. I could not quite understand this very well until a few years back when I stumbled upon Advaita (non-dualism) philosophy especially through teachings of the Indian sage Sri Ramana Maharishi about the true self which is the Witness to everything. It was eye opening. I am still working on understanding this witness which is the true self and detach myself from my false self which is the ego. Feeling the presence of the witness is almost like experiencing a dream where you are in the dream, yet not affected by it.

Sri Krishna also says this in the Bhagavad Gita that we are not the do-er, we are merely in an instrument through which consciousness manifests purely out of divine love. The witness of the consciousness is love itself and I think as we are all connected by it, we are IT. There is just the one manifesting itself in many forms. It is wonderful. The ego clouds it and creates all the pain and suffering which is illusory.

Speaking from a human perspective we all say we don’t want to come back here but when you are in higher plane you don’t feel that way because your above the physical mind consciousness. I am quite certain I have been aware of existing in multiple realms simultaneously as I have recollections of events in my current past that seem to overlap one another. That is to say I have often been aware of having experienced so very much in just 72 years - much more than could possibly have occurred in so (relatively) short a period of time. This concept was especially true up to around my mid 50s at which time I began-bit by bit - to reflect on this lifetime’s experiences, still at this point trying to formulate the most favorable scenario as to how I could have better gone about my life. I don’t consider such reflection to be regret, but rather preparation for the next journey.

Many things indicate this knowledge was very much a reality back in pagan times. Dolmens, Stonehenge and other stone structures may have been used in rituals to remember previous lives. Some people may even been killed by their own free will with the belief and knowledge that they may re incarnate.

We have to live our lives to the very end. Life is like being on a roller-coaster. We are here not to have a wonderful life. We are here to learn. I beg to differ.....when I was crossing the veil in a tunnel of exquiset multicolored living light, I at first just basked in being pain free and was in total awe of the spectacle surrounding me. When it finally dawned on me where I was going, I struggled with every ounce of being to back myself out of there. I had two young children and "I" wanted to be the one to raise them. There came a point where I stopped this endeavor - I asked myself if this would be like turning my back on God . Long story short, He didn't see it that way at all . Many years ago I had a psychic reader of past lives read some of mine from the Akashic records which was interesting because I had been in many past cultures and religions and even one life as a woman. This news empowered my thinking in who we all are more than we think we are and feeling restricted to be assigned the mundane life I was living but realizing there is also a Karma factor based upon past actions that had to be faced and corrected. Many nde ears say that we have a choice whether to reincarnate or stay in the spiritual realm. Human life is a chance to learn, or just to experience through our senses for both learning and experience for enertainment. The spiritual realm is eternal byt not as we understand it because time is just a tool for the physical experience.

Spirit and Soul are two different entities. Soul is creating the Consciousness through the memory from the Physical body. The memory data resides in ones DNA. DNA are repositories of data which is evolving though each generation. Hence a person will have data or DNA information of his father and mother plus all the data of their ancestors also. That is how human beings are evolving. We are smarter than our parents and our children will be smarter than us. After death our Spirit detaches from the soul and goes back to Spirit world. Souls remain as pure consciousness and are part of Akashic records. One can tap into the souls of departed loved ones and communicate with them. In some cases the spirit does not detach from the soul and they are called earth bound spirits. They do not detach from the soul due to attachments like addiction, revenge and in some cases ignorance. When Soul and Spirit are not detached after death they are also called as Ghosts. One has to be careful while connecting with earth bound spirits as most of them are malevolent.

I've had both NDE and OBE. This experience on Earth is very limited. You're comparing what's 'good' to the only thing you know as 'bad'. It all sucks here from my perspective. I think this life woke me up to never come back here. I can't say I've reached some kind of enlightenment but I've outgrown the human experience.

The problem with this theory is that there are 7 billion people on the planet, each with a soul. Yet, there were only a few thousand humans on the planet initially with souls. I’ve always thought that when you are reborn it’s the light that brings you, like the light that you see when you die. When you grow a plant the seed will not grow with out light.If the plant is alive it will not stay alive without light, it will seek it and if not found, it will die. Many years ago when I was a child I used to think that I was a Flamenco dancer in Spain. My father was a language teacher and taught Spanish. He had a pair of castanets and I picked them up and played them! My parents were in shock! I then saw a picture of a Matador and felt such a connection that I cried. The question that begs to be asked here is why anyone would "plan" a miserable life? The life I have lived so far is nothing anyone in their right mind would have planned. Do people plan to get a chronic illness, or become drug addicts, or choose parents who are sure to abuse them? Do you choose to be born with a birth defect to learn "lessons?" That makes no sense to me. Having it imposed on me by a higher authority makes more sense. How does my soul know what it needs to learn? From the descriptions we have heard of the spirit realm, why would anyone want to leave that and spend a miserable 70-80 years living a life of suffering on Earth? Are you forced to come back here for your own good over and over again until our sun expands to engulf the planet? Sounds more like a cycle of endless suffering to me. Like a nightmare you cannot wake up from.

We go through about 8-12 lives after which we ascend to our permanent home, the 3rd heaven.
Ever since I was a child, I have felt a "witness" presence with me. It is as if I am me but also I am not me but looking at me apart from me. I could not quite understand this very well until a few years back when I stumbled upon Advaita (non-dualism) philosophy especially through teachings of the Indian sage Sri Ramana Maharishi about the true self which is the Witness to everything. It was eye opening. I am still working on understanding this witness which is the true self and detach myself from my false self which is the ego. Feeling the presence of the witness is almost like experiencing a dream where you are in the dream, yet not affected by it.

Sri Krishna also says this in the Bhagavad Gita that we are not the do-er, we are merely in an instrument through which consciousness manifests purely out of divine love. The witness of the consciousness is love itself and I think as we are all connected by it, we are IT. There is just the one manifesting itself in many forms. It is wonderful. I am quite certain I have been aware of existing in multiple realms simultaneously as I have recollections of events in my current past that seem to overlap one another. That is to say I have often been aware of having experienced so very much in just 72 years - much more than could possibly have occurred in so (relatively) short a period of time. This concept was especially true up to around my mid 50s at which time I began-bit by bit - to reflect on this lifetime’s experiences, still at this point trying to formulate the most favorable scenario as to how I could have better gone about my life. I don’t consider such reflection to be regret, but rather preparation for the next journey.

I beg to differ.....when I was crossing the veil in a tunnel of exquiset multicolored living light, I at first just basked in being pain free and was in total awe of the spectacle surrounding me. When it finally dawned on me where I was going, I struggled with every ounce of being to back myself out of there. I had two young children and "I" wanted to be the one to raise them. Many years ago I had a psychic reader of past lives read some of mine from the Akashic records which was interesting because I had been in many past cultures and religions and even one life as a woman. This news empowered my thinking in who we all are more than we think we are and feeling restricted to be assigned the mundane life I was living but realizing there is also a Karma factor based upon past actions that had to be faced and corrected. Spirit and Soul are two different entities.
Soul is creating the Consciousness through the memory from the Physical body. The memory data resides in ones DNA. DNA are repositories of data which is evolving though each generation. Hence a person will have data or DNA information of his father and mother plus all the data of their ancestors also. That is how human beings are evolving. We are smarter than our parents and our children will be smarter than us.
After death our Spirit detaches from the soul and goes back to Spirit world. Souls remain as pure consciousness and are part of Akashic records. One can tap into the souls of departed loved ones and communicate with them.
In some cases the spirit does not detach from the soul and they are called earth bound spirits. They do not detach from the soul due to attachments like addiction, revenge and in some cases ignorance. When Soul and Spirit are not detached after death they are also called as Ghosts.
One has to be careful while connecting with earth bound spirits as most of them are malevolent.

And indeed you are. The soul as some thing you "have" as you have a body and a nice car was propagated by the Catholic Church for purposes of crowd mind control. The only "you" is soul, a divine spark. It has a body temporarily, and maybe even a nice car, also temporarily.

The problem with this theory is that there are 7 billion people on the planet, each with a soul. Yet, there were only a few thousand humans on the planet initially with souls. Where did all these extra souls come from if each comes back again? Are there new souls being created also through time?
