Which is understandable for racers... but all these guys were like.... G main qualifiers... none of them looked good at all....
What a good sort, happy to chat about his car to someone asking basic questions just wanting to find out a few things. He deserves the likes.
Add a sim type set up, seat, steering wheel ect. with a camera in driver position. Perfect!
that's been my idea for 20 years... No one has ever tried it. Build scale versions of real tracks, so you get the drivers eye view of racing with all the trackside scenery of real tracks

@@F1dude71 i tried it fpv. its not fun cause you cant see far enough everything comes up too fast. it hasnt caught on cause it is alot funner to be above when it is such small scale

The aerodynamic affects the performance as well (spoilers can be set up & lower just like A arms to raise or lower suspension) depending on how rough the track is..
So.. yeah, this is next level of crazy..

This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. I race off road, but I would 100% get into this if it were a thing here in the states.
Would love to see them on a bigger track with enough speed to actually utilize the wings down force ability.
Lol the drivers are not smooth with the throttle on the turns
Surprisingly the wings do make a hell of a difference
Even in other scales the wings work well
Me and a friend had 1/10 scale Tamiya Road Wizards (long ago) that we would race around pillars in empty lower levels of parking garages. I tell ya the little adjustable trim on the front wings made a big difference in how sharp you could steer, I was surprised. As far as bigger tracks it would be hard to see them unless the drivers were elevated imho :)

Those little SOB's are BADASS WAS mesmerized by the track action, engines sound. Almost as good as full scale racing but a lot cheaper no doubt

These sound more like an F1 car than current F1 cars
I knew that they would build them some day,it's difficult not to watch them in real life and not try to emulate the excitement. That's a work of engineering ,not a toy at all.
I knew that there were miniature steam locomotives, but this caught me off guard.
This needs to evolve more. They need to be wearing first person goggles and sitting in simulators.

Wings make a difference all the way down to 1/12th scale. Aerodynamics is different but can be used
All the way down to 1/32nd at least ;) I've raced a slot car with both a "wing" body and then (just swapping the body) a "saloon" body and the handling was totally different!
Yes, years ago, I ran an 1/8th scale PB Diamond with a two speed transmission, it had a group C sports car body and it was uncontrollable without it. You couldn't approach even half throttle until second gear at around 40mph when it was creating enough downforce to get traction, 3bhp and 8 pounds weight is crazy.

The electric brushless system is clearly leading the way that things shifting but the 2 strokes are definitely more fun to watch and clearly takes more skill as you don’t have that instant acceleration and torque that the electric has plus the 2 strokes obviously carry more weight 🤔 I definitely need both in my life 😂
all someone needs is a playstation controller with a vr headset connected to a camera onboard the drivers seat and id be in !

They are not necessarily heavier when you put a large brushless system in a car the motor and batteries are pretty damn heavy
I hope someday they strap a camera on these toys and control it via monitor just like in arcade game, with steering wheels brake and gas pedal.

Seems like the circuit is quite small, a small go cart circuit would be ideal in my opinion. Yet, damn they even got tyre blankets.
I'm sure it's a lot harder than it looks and even more expensive bit still cool as hell
For all the tweaking and tire warming and suspension they dont seem to get much traction. Not stuck to the track very well at all. Cool cars just thought they would perform a little better.

Used to Race Tamiya 1/10 Battery F1 cars at Hillingdon RC Track in the early 90's .... no tyre warmers .. just coke on the track and some Traction compound on the sponge tyres ... great times
It's something I'm definitely going to try over winter at our local track...but I want to do it with panning FPV. Look out for more.
