- This is an interview of Lucy Lawless about the final Xena episode before it had aired in 2001. Sorry about the quality but it's very good for its age and for it being on my old damaged VHS tape which I had to convert to the PC.
And 17 years later she's still beautiful and awesome

Friend In Need was a great episode cinematically, but it broke my heart. Saw it back in 01 and haven't been able to bring myself to watch it again. Thanks for providing us with this. X+G 4 ever!!

Lucy wasn't kidding when she says 'Xena gets a haircut' in the series finale.

Jay Leno was always such a no-class act. You've got jokes about murderers, animal porn, breast implants, and obesity. I feel bad for anyone who was contractually obligated to go on his show.

Blackarachnia Lavigne worst thing about it- he kept attempting to do an East London accent as though that’s anywhere close to Kiwi. He also actually straight up asked “is that English for urinal?” Because how she said it- New Zealand, she actually told him and he still got it wrong!
Of all late night hosts, he has the least charisma and his interviewing skills (here & with other clips) are just piss poor!!

Sherri Barzydlo I searched her because I just watched Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler and at the end credits I seen her name Lucy Lawless and thought “where do I know that name from” and it’s her wow! What a trip! I loved her back in the day!!

She's never been that great an actress, but she's hilarious and doesn't take herself too seriously. I can respect that.
Elektrikkiss I never said I didn't like her. In fact, I do. I used to be a hardcore Xena fan and I still enjoy the show today. But Lawless overacts and makes these really intense facial expressions that come across as funny rather than serious. As a comedienne she's brilliant, though.

I'm sure she couldn't give a definitive answer due to the time this was released. Had she said "Yes", the network probably would have done some damage control and denied her answer or played it off as a joke. The network didn't want to XWP to perceived as a 'lesbian' show. Had she said "No", it would have upset a whole mess of fans who wanted to see Xena and Gabrielle together.
Lucy has gone on to confirm that Xena was in fact in a romantic relationship with her 'sidekick' Gabrielle. That was after some time had passed of course and representation was more mainstream.
Worst interview ever. He’s not asking anything we, Lucy lawless fans, want to know.
