Totally agree! I think this was a tactic the Officer was using to try and see if the traveler was hiding anything. If you notice, the Officer said about 3 or 4 times, "Why are you nervous?" "you look nervous" and "well, you are nervous." I think it's an interrogation technique to force the other person into a defensive posture and see if they reveal information.
