Hey I just made my own version of this, and it came out fantastic! I did mine open face with mozzarella and rosemary. Used some sort of brown mushroom I got at Aldi. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hi...it’s funny when I was a kid I hated mushrooms but as an adult I grew to love them. Your sandwich looks delish 👍 My favorites are Portobellos. Thanks for sharing.....Dolores.....The Baking Diva 😍
I have never had an all mushroom and cheese sandwhich! Great idea ! I will definitely try this. I was already planning to comment that I am not very familiar with marjoram :) I have some and will give it a try. This looks great !
Never had a mushroom melt, but I want one now! Hell yeah on muenster cheese (love its mellowness) and garlic. Rye bread? Yes please, and well thought out. Stem on shroomers? Yes please. Rosemary? Yes please. Marjoram? Hell yeah, and underutilized as you said! Your butter garlic seasoning rocks. I gotta do another recipe using it AND marjoram :) Whatta sammich, brother! A feast for the eyes, mouth and belly!
This looks fantastic. Great for meatless Monday's. What can I substitute for Munster cheese as not available in my neck of the woods and never even tasted it. Would using extra old cheddar work or Italian blend. What cheese might taste close to Munster. Again A healthy alternative for myself and wife. . Would pair great with your tomato soup recipe. I'm definitely going to make these. Quick and easy. It's a pleasure to learn from your videos as always. Cheers
Another awesome sandwich. I love mushrooms. And since YOU mentioned it, why DIDN'T you add bacon? You, of all people, passing up your favorite "last meal." LOL

I add marjoram to the spices I add to navy bean and pinto bean soup and egg plant parmesan. I love how it adds just that special something.
It is quite underused.
Meaty and savory, what a great combination!
Another great one, thanks! I'll be trying this one this week.
Awesome, let me know how it works out!

Mozzarella or a nice white cheddar
Yummy John
Thanks Richard
I'm apt to add marjoram to any tomato sauce/ragu, or to chicken soup or stew. I agree, it's underutilized. Cheers! ;)
