    Steve can cancel the knockback AND hitstun of spikes by starting to build (Neutral Special) the moment he gets hit, and so can Kirby with Steve's copy ability. The difference to a regular grounded spike AFTER the block is already out, is that there is no tech situation and Steve can act immediately after getting hit. It isn't thaaat useful, since it is so precise and if you have time to build you also have time to do something else (like dodge), but it is very interesting and allows for immediate punishes of "canceled" spikes!

      I found one with Ganon and PKMN Trainer.
      -Ganon can UpB at the same time as a spike, and can cancel knock back, but it looks like it goes lower than it normally does.
      -PKMN Trainer can switch after final spark and cancel the KB
      Unfortunately I don’t have evidence but hopefully you will test it!!

    3:00 the hydrant is owned by whoever launched it. Kazuya reflect a stationary hydrant, while Pacman's key launched the hydrant

      no, kazuya reflector instantly launches hydrant. Besides, hydrant wasn't even what hit the Kazuya, it was the key.

      @@xKingxTitus it takes a moment for the hydrant to be launched even if a very strong hit connects with it, during that time another hit can take ownership right before it leaves the ground, I think that's what happened here.
      I'm aware hydrant has 14 % health and kazuya's ➡️➡️🇦 does over 15 %

      @@YounesLayachi Something about you being the first and third comment is kinda funny, but finally someone who understands that mechanic, it's present on the smashball too. If someone hits the smash ball with Roy's fully charged neutral B (just cause it's strong) a fox can laser it during the hitlag and steal it. Based mechanic honestly

      As a dedede main, gordo actually has a similar interaction. If dedede throws out gordo, and a move would reflect it, as long as dedede’s hammer counts as a lingering hitbox and causes the gordo to get reflected immediately, causing super powered gordos to hit you if you try to knock them back too early

    The Ness did Multi Mag. This tech is known for some time but its frame perfect and not easy. Works at every % because Magnet got set knockback (so there is no di). The Magnet got a lot of different movement options and all of them are kinda precise. Took me over a year to do the loops in a match (against noobs)

      Hi, I guess I am a ness labber. Misconception, multimags are not frame perfect. At least not normal multimags. Flymags, which are diagonal, are frame perfect.

    i think the pacman clip at 2:45 is a result of that one thing i think you guys tested out before where his fire hydrant has reflecting properties on the ground which reflected the key multiple times because it was right inside the hydrant

    As a Steve player, I managed it in about 10 tries after discovering it in the discord. Never done it in a real match yet. There’s instructions on how to do it there

      You need to get hit by a moves at the right frame spam jump and an aerial.
      If you don't jump or spaman aerial it won't work and you'll just fall normally.
      So for the block is just 5 frame before it appears or less (I think)

    My best guess is that he reflected the hydrant and its water as it spawned, which gave enough time via hitlag for the key to transfer to the other side of the hydrant. After that, the key may have been given a weird boost from the reflected water spurt.

    For the pacman/kazuya interaction:
    The key hit the firehydrant at the same time kazuya kicked it, which caused the hydrant to hit the key, reflect off of it. This repeats until kazuya's reflect expires, and then hits kazuya for the multiplied damage.

    I'm not a Pac Man main but at 2:59 Kazuya reflected the Hydrant and key at the same time but before the key got reflected it hit the Hydrant and make the hit for Pac - man (Kazuya reflected hydrant > key hit the Hydrant > reflect the key > hydrant is at Pac-man for damage after hit but as the know back of quadruple since he reflected twice > hydrant and hydrant hitbox was close enough to hit Kazuya hurtbox ) hope y'all understand

    I honestly have never thought of that Zoom trick. Most of the time I try to go for Zoom offstage before I use my double jump as I thought I will have to preserve my double jump for landing mixups. The more you know.

      It's a good strategy, if zoom doesn't appear on menu you can use double jump to pull menu again.
      You can also prime your zoom before going on stage (by pulling menu at least once after each zoom).
      While offstage, you can jump or drift away from stage to increase your odds of getting zoom.

    I think I can explain the Pac-Man;Kazuya clip.
    When Kazuya reflected with his kick, he launched the hydrant just as Pac-Man was throwing the key. The key had enough knock back to counter the knock back from the launching hydrant and reflect it back at point blank range.
    So what killed Kazuya was a knock back reflected hydrant at point blank range from a key.

    With Kazuya I think the objects reflected multiple times because they collided with each other, the fire hydrant and the key, and when it was done they went nowhere so it still hit Kazuya for 110 damage and proceeded to kill him. I think this because in the slowmotion it shows the reflection icon like 4 times, and that the times hit each other.

    Hey BSD ! Try this as a gamemode raise Incineroar's strength by 130% in the settings, make a new ruleset of 99 minutes with 20 lives, spirits allowed, only smash balls, assist trophy and pokeballs are allowed. Select FD as a stage and the music Power Hungry Fool ( it's ok with any other song but Power Hungry Fool is one of my favorite ). You're going to select Incineroar and than give him Akuma ( spirit ). If you fight in solo, put 1v5 ; 1 as the player and 5 as the bots. If both of you are playing than add another bot, trust me that gamemode is a lot of fun especially if you get the revenge with Incineroar's Down B

    regarding that Kazuya/Pac-Man clip, you can see the "reflector" effect pop up 3 times on the hydrant and only twice on the key. you can also see that the first reflection of the hydrant starts a few frames before the first key reflection, but the second hydrant reflection arrives only a frame or two after that first key reflection.
    the reflector on kazuya's kick is 10 frames and is active 3 frames earlier than the hitbox's 7. despite that, we can see the first reflection of the hydrant activating on roughly the same frame as the hitbox. the hitbox deals 18%, which should lock the the hydrant in the weak launch direction we see it take after the interaction despite how much happens in those 7 or so frames.
    hydrant doesn't usually suffer excessive hitstun, but considering the fact that the hitbox and reflector made contact at the same time, coupled with the 7 frames where both hitbox and reflector are active, it's possible that the hydrant was stuck calculating multiple hits on itself as it changed owners. add Pac Man's key late into the mix and I think we can surmise how the interaction loop looks from the outside.
    what I believe happened is this:
    frame 1) hydrant(pac's) is reflected(1/3) and struck(now kaz's with launch angle locked);
    frame 2) pac man throws key, hydrant is hit again because of hitstun and/or calculation speed;
    frame 3) key(pac's) contacts hydrant(kaz's, now pac's);
    frame 4) key(pac's) is reflected(now kaz's,1/2), hydrant(pac's) contacts key(kaz's, now pac's);
    frame 5) hydrant(pac's) is reflected(now kaz's,2/3)
    frame 6) key(pac's) contacts hydrant(kaz's, now pac's)
    frame 7) hydrant(pac's) is reflected(now kaz's, 3/3)
    frame 8) Kazuya's reflector and hitbox become inactive; key(pac's) contacts hydrant(kaz's, now pac's)
    frame 9) hydrant recovers from hitstun and becomes an intangible hitbox, key is also stuck in hitstun while calculating
    frame 10) Kazuya is deleted

    In the Pacman and Kazuya clip, I think Kazuya's hitbox was finished (early?) due to hitting the hydrant, and the reflector part of the move was gone.

    As a Ness main, at 13:00, you actually NEED specials set on cstick, other wise the skill level to pull that off is similar to a triple shine in melee. 3 frame perfect, across the controller inputs, no thanks ill use the cstick :)

      You don’t need special cstick, but it does help make it easier. Nessboy (the player in the clip) uses smash stick

    Here's my hypothesis. Kazuya reflected the hydrant and the key knocked it back. Then the same thing happened again. The hydrant was too powerful to reflect a 3rd time. The rest is history.

    ok so about the pacman, what happened *i think* is when the hydrant got reflected it got hit by key that also reflected making it ping pong with the key and the hydrant and the key lasted longer then the reflecter and made it have been refelected like 20 times to the kazuya and killed him. *just my theory*

    3:10 I know what it is. So Kazuya reflected the Hydrant and Key, but the key still hit the hydrant, which was pacman's still. The keys power sky rocketed by Kazuya's reflector, and that hit the hydrant, sealing his fate. Please reply if you see this.

    Dude the future of ultimate is crazy, looks like nearly anyone can kill anyone else always.
