Thanks for taking the time to provide the maps, drone shots and especially your commentary. This really adds a lot to the trip through the beautiful countryside.
Really nice video as always TNT! It was especially nice to see the drone shots over what was my work place for almost seventeen years. I was actually responsible for the layout and all mechanical engineering of the wood room (wood yard, debarking, chipping, chip screening and chip storage). We needed and got lot of information on how pulp wood deliveries via train worked. The Värmland line is said to be the most congested single track line in Sweden. So yes, a triangle track to the main line would save a lot of hassle.
So cool to hear that you worked there mr B! Been waiting for Covid to let go a bit so i can do this :D I wanna visit the factory some time. They do let us who work with them in there. Gotta do a video about the trip to Grums sometime in the near future as well :D

@@thenorwegiantraindriver4788 Excellent. When I visited Norway in 1982 (!) Hi Sam and thx for commenting. Yes the differences are weird. Green flashing light in their pre signal means stop... And the signes for you are on the opposite side of Norway.
Another really good video and seeing Sweden is also nice on lines I have not watched via Swedish Railcam. With you riding this train, wondered if you are working toward getting qualified to drive in Sweden? Now a question, at 57:12 are signs on both sides of the track. Over the time watching the other Swedish cab ride videos I have concluded that the black triangle with the yellow border means something like "pay attention, I am giving you information you need" and this info is in the sign under the triangle, like the 'V' for upcoming grade crossings and the square sign that gives the value of impending speed reductions. Now what it the world does that small black rectangle with the 2 white bars indicate. Try my best I am unable to puzzle that one out. Thanks and keep them coming.
Hi Sharon and thx for commeting and asking! There are no plans yet to educate more norwegian drivers for driving in Sweden. I have asked my boss if i can join some more trips. Awaiting answer.... You are quite right about the signal meaning "pay attention" (what train signal does not mean that, lol) Its called a orientation signal. It means it's 1000m to something. That something is a main signal in this case. Since that black sign with 2 white arc's is similar to the Swedish pre signals.

Also I was looking at NMJ models and was wondering if anybody had an opinion on their quality detail ect . Thank you
Hello there TNT! I read an article a few days ago regarding train surfing and freight hopping. I really wonder how it feels from your perspective regarding this subject. In the US and southern Europe it is more common but here in the Nordic countries it is thankfully not very popular, but still, I've seen videos of people doing riding in northern Sweden/Norway. What do you guys do to prevent this? Is there any form of security or is it something you don't care about?
There have been few incidents in Norway. The latest one was 3 ppl climbing on a parked train. That was inclosed area. They touched the power line and two died. Some of our terminals is fenced in (not that it helpes a dedicated vandal :P) In Kongsvinger there are a security company that is around frequently. We also drive to and from terminals very early when vandals sleep :P I have never seen anybody. We also have to inspect all wagons before departure. Wich i'm planning a video of. Could be quite boring, but some would have interest in seeing how break system works.
@@thenorwegiantraindriver4788 Great. These freight hoppers shouldn’t get mixed up with vandals. They do it as a style of living and transportation. It’s great to hear there is security but these have no limits. Right when the train starts and while it is slowly driving out of the yard they will take the chance to run up to the train and catch it. Often they are caught slightly outside the yard when there is no fence. Like in this video when you come out past that railway crossing and parallel with the road it would be a dream for a freight hopper to catch.

Such a great video. I just discovered your channel after searching for videos of "Grensebanen", which is the part of "Kongsvingerbanen" that runs from Kongsvinger to the Swedish border. It's interesting to see the line from the cab. If possible, please include more video of the locomotives you operate in the beginning of the videos (inside and outside, the controls etc.). In this video, are you operating the Simens Vectron for Hectorrail? They usually pull timber trains on this line. However, the inside of the cab looks like a Traxx, but I think CargoNet is the only Norwegian operator using that locomotive. Are you not allowed to operate the locomotive inside Sweden since there seems to be another driver operating the locomotive? Also curious what the alarm sounds / beeps are for.
Hi, and thx for commenting. Glad you liked it. I have to be careful not to show to much stuff from the locos. Yes we have several Vectron's. They have some similarities to Traxx. We have lots of Traxx too. But we are a swedish company tho. Yes it was another driver. @@thenorwegiantraindriver4788 Thanks for the reply. Absolutely love your videos.
Hi I wonder do you have a toilette on board?
Nope. Only one loco i know of who got that. And you dont wanna use it either. Very small :D
@@thenorwegiantraindriver4788 how do you do when you need to make number 1 and 2? While driving.
@@Sadie_Adler1889 Wait for the next stop and find a safe place. If it's an emergancy you just stop and run into the woods :D No one can deny you that. Saftety first you know! But its not like we drive for that long. The longest trip is about 5 hours.
Where ara you?😢
Hi! Thanks for video! Are you working with partner or alone? And you will surprised but in Russian lokomotive ve have no output 220v to make tea ))) use termoses ))) and toilet begins last 20 years
Hi Andrew. Mostly we work alone now. I can raido control my loco so i can back it into terminals myself. Thank god for thermoses :D
@@thenorwegiantraindriver4788 can you pik up in cabine some passenger like your friend or kids? Is it legal/possible? (Sometimes we can))))
@@andrewscotch Nope. Not allowed 😒
what is the name of the next section?
Hi Martin. Are you reffering to the name of the line? Kongsviger line is the next one (from the border to Kongsvinger) If you are reffering to the video I'm currently editing that now. (same title, just part 2 or final part. Not sure how long it's gonna be yet)

Do you have a toilet on board?
Nope
Yes, I like this train. Så litt norsk: Som sagt har jeg jobbet mye med tog og mange revisjonsoppgaver som teknikk og 16Kv. Jeg er nå lydteknikker. Per Klever.
Greit å skifte litt jobb beite da :D
Hvilke type lokomotiv køre du her ?

Worlds quietest locomotive
Yeah it only seems that way. Those high frequent sounds can be tiresome. I often use a noice cancelling headset on those locos...
I also like to repronounce the towns names in your language, perhaps learn your language.
That is no easy task! I often need a second take on some of them
It would be a lot better without you talking the whole time. Totally ruined the ride.
Oh well. Can't please everybody :P Some say the opposite. And it was not all the time.
