Yeah, the first thing that came to mind when everybody was whining about how expensive they are, was the pop shots!!! You get ONE of those for $34!!! (I swear they used to be $38 when they first came out, I remember gasping at the price thinking everyone would be talking about it and then nobody did...And yes, I bought 4 of them!!! No more though!) And everyone bought those without a second thought! So I have not been able to understand everyone's problem with the price....Are they expensive? Yes!!! But most "high end" makeup is very overpriced...You either buy it or you don't...I will be getting one or two for sure....LOVE this sort of eyeshadow!
I totally agree when you look at everything that is available at the moment these are quite a reasonable price and not the highest by any means. The quality is excellent and I think it’s deserving of the high price tag. I hope you love yours. ❤️
I think it’s really just in comparison to his palette and if it were a single i guess people wouldn’t notice as much. PT prices have gone up so i definitely think he’s aiming for past high end at this point that and baked gelee are typically more $
Thank you so much for reviewing these! I absolutely agree that so many other eyeshadows are in a very similar price range if you break them down to the price per amount of product you actually get. "Talk to my Team" was the one I was most interested in, despite the terrible name. And I will definitely get mine now, it will be great for travel as well I think.
I was originally interested in these but after really seeing them, they don’t hold a candle to my indie shadows I already own. So good for me I guess, I save money LoL
I always find nothing really compares to Pat McGrath eyeshadows. I hope there will be more motherships in the future 😢 The Patrick Ta duos are pretty, just difficult to beat Pat. Thanks for an honest appraisal, refreshing x
I love these minimalist palettes! so cute! will certainly pick it up during sale :) I have no need for a large 24-colour eyeshadow palette only to use a few favourite colours and take up the space...
Thanks for the review! I have ordered talk to my team already. I’m actually glad to hear that they’re not as high impact as Pat McGrath, because maybe with a light hand I’ll be able to wear them to work :)
I love PML special shades BUT as older I get the more I don’t like how those special shades emphasise texture on my eyelids. I hope PTa’s duos will work for me better. Thanks for the video Hannah 🙏🏻❤️🙌
I think they look really lovely. They look very elegant and smooth. Im definitely buying one, just don't know which colour yet. Thanks for another great review.
They do look very smooth and they are very elegant and if that is the way you prefer your shimmer you will not find better out there. This is extremely high-quality. ❤️
Thank you so much for comparing with Pat McGrath! I was hopeful these might be comparable, but there is something very special about Pat's special shades. I hope she comes out with a new mothership soon.
I thought we’d have to wait for tomorrow to get your video!!! Thank you for getting it up so quickly!! 💕 I was one of the people feeling like these were crazy priced…until I realized they were a baked gelee formula !!!! This is like getting 2 Pat McGrath baked shades or two baked Bobbi Brown shades (sold in 2.5g singles). When you compare to those, this price is not at all out of place-in fact it’s a decent price in comparison. We’re getting 4 grams of baked special type shades! 🤗 I definitely want to get “We Need Better Lighting” during the Sephora Sale here in the US. I really like those swatches and I don’t have either of the similar VB shades. They are also different from the Pop Shots I have. I like that they are impactful but not CRAZY. It seems like something I’d like day to day for my taste. I do have that Pillow Talk CT Pop Shot (and also the shifty gold to pink baked shade in the Bobbi Brown Luxe Milky Way quint), so I think I’ll skip Talk to my Team. I did really like the look you made with it, though. I’m interested in seeing the duo with the 2 browns and how they compare to the Quartz pop shots and to Chantecaille Baked shades like Elephant and Rhino.
I nearly got the two browns, but I had to be a bit strict with myself because I’ve been buying way too much lately! I think they would look beautiful with one of these lighter shades ❤️
Hi Hannah, I really love the subtlety of these shadows! Especially the smooth texture of a high quality product! Will definitely get them at the Sephora sale if they are not all gone by then. Thanks for all of your comparisons.
Hi Hannah. I just found your channel. I’ve just bought the ‘Do You Know Who I Am?’ shade & was looking to see if these are worth it. I usually buy indie makeup & like bold, dramatic, colourful makeup (I’m 56 but never let that stop me! lol). I occasionally want sophisticated makeup for cruises or Christmas & I thought these would be a bit special for that. Now I’ve watched this I’m really excited I bought one! Great video!
I can't wait to swatch these in store. I once swatched a PMG palette in my local Sephora and it was gorgeous. Natasha Denona has some great shades in her palettes as well.
I need to see Patrick Ta's still at the club along side Victoria Beckhams Mink. Definitely not buying unless I see those swatched lol because they seem similar.
Since I own the Danessa Myricks VI, I don’t need or even want the Patrick Ta ones. Thank you for this absolutely great video! You showed exactly the comparisons I was after. The PT Duos are probably really nice, but they do not beat anything I already own.

I don't like silver or cool tones (I do like cool neutrals like a taupe, but not grey or silver), and I don't like pastels and there seem to be a lot of those colors going around for holiday. So far the only eyeshadow in my Sephora basket is the ABH Spice palette. Thanks for all these reviews those and I am pretty sure you are the first with these! Nicely done!!

Thank you for the review! Both look great on you. Not sure if I will purchase yet. Although I am loving the dark brown/plum combo version! I think part of the problem is people have been comparing the price of these to his full size palette that cost $70 for 12 shades instead of 2 shades for $42. Have a great day!
Yes, I think that has been the problem but it is the formula they need to compare as these formulas are not in his larger palettes. I don’t think this one is overpriced but I also don’t think it’s that spectacular. ❤️
