Absolutely! When I drove a Honda Civic, I remember spending entire afternoons waiting for my car when I brought it in for routine maintenance. Love the Bolt's simplicity so far.
We own 2, purchased about a year ago from the local Chevy dealership. 1 is a 2018 Premium and the other a 2019 Premium. Both cars were lease return purchases, under 12k miles each with newly replaced updated batteries, and were in pristine condition. With my trade in I was able to buy one outright and got the 2nd for about 17k(bought them both on the same day). We drive these exclusively now, unless a long road trip is required. That being said, so far we average over 230 miles of range in dead of winter(Utah) and just shy of 340 miles in the 2 most-ideal seasons. We love them and think they are about the best EV value for the money you can find these days.
I need to contact a Chevrolet dealer sometime about taking my 2017 Bolt in for an "Advanced Diagnostic Software" update and a brake fluid flush. I received the letter from Chevy regarding the software update just a few weeks after taking it in for the high voltage battery swap. Unfortunately the nearest dealers aren't EV certified so I will be going on another sixty mile (one way) trip to the nearest one that is. The time on the road will probably be longer than the actual work. This still doesn't dampen my enthusiasm for the Bolt. It's such a fun little car!
I hope you get the software update and brake fluid flush soon! I'm glad your enthusiasm for the Bolt remains high. Whereabouts do you live? Thank you for watching!
@@theelectrickats5694 I live in east central Ohio near Cambridge. Really enjoy your videos. Very informative! Battery electric vehicles are definitely the future.
Getting my first service this Friday-- only 3.5 months after getting it! Uber driving and long commutes make the miles fly by! Thanks for the heads up on what to expect.
From the owners manual I noticed an item missing…twice a year rinse the underbody. Not too important in CA, unless they make a stink about you not following maintenance invalidating warranty. Also don’t forget the free safety inspection at every service. Not on the list but might want to consider if you plan to keep the car a long time, every year or two lubricating all the rubber components under the car, such as dust boot covers on transmission. And at 10 years replacing (if it has it) transfer case and rear differential fluid. They will claim it’s not needed and good for “life” of the car, but if you want the life to last long, they should be done. Happy driving!
This is one of the best reasons to go electric. Maintenance is simple and basic.

So Simple! Not that much to do

This is something I was looking for.
Went on a test drive in a 2023 Bolt EUV just the other day.

I hope the service went well and thank you for watching!
Is it bad my first service visit was 3 weeks after buying my car

So simple. I love having an EV!
Nice job.
Chevy Bolt is a bargain for sure.
I wonder why youtube thought of recommending me this, as I do not even drive a car, yet alone an electric one.
