I have the same set even the color, I love it. I'm a Klim believer
Yeah I've purchased their stuff for about 10 years and love it. They've gotten better at it each iteration too.
Thank you for the review. Going to order this set. Cheers
Thanks! Check out my 7 month review in my feed for more detail
What is the Carlsbad like for sizing? What size in inches would the XL be?
I'd recommend you see their size chart at their website. To me they seem to run a bit bigger than you'd expect compared to the European brands like RevIt, Rukka, etc... I will often wear t-shirts in XXL (mostly for length) but the XL for Carlsbad fits me fine. I even tried on one of their windbreakers in L and it fit me but was a bit tight. Not sure my chest size recently but I'm fairly sure it's 46". Better yet, find a Klim retailer near you and just try them on. Many regional rallies will also have a Klim retailer there such at Overland Expo, IMS, etc... They have a good return policy too. I bought my first Klim gear like 10 years ago and they've only gotten better.
I have both the jacket and the pants. Jacket is awesome. Pants not so much. They have, good ventilation, solid waterproofing. Top of the line knee armor pocket is sewn in wrong; as a result the armor protects the inside of your knee. When you look at the construction of the garment it’s pretty obvious that the placement is an error. Klim support basically told me that they did this intentionally so they would not correct the issue. If you intend to use separate knee armor these pants will be fine but if you want to use the D30 that comes with the pants you should look somewhere else. The armor placement makes it useless. For a company with a reputation as good as klim's the customer service is horrible.
Wished the camera was set back to actually see the entire kit! Thanks for the info.

Not all pockets are for snacks Eric!
Seems like a great suit
hi from grecia! Thanks for review i mminteresting to buy carlsbad pant but i m not sure about size. What is your size number ?
I am a 36 inch waist and regular length
So how did this suit perform in hot weather ? i mean like 30°c ...
It's been great so far and even up to 40C. Ventilates well and as long an I'm moving I'm cool. Had a lot of rain in Guatemala too and I was dry.
@@XLAdvRider Thanks for the feedback !
I've been in way hotter temperature riding a touring bike with a huge windscreen, as long as you are moving you are fine, he forgot to say that when you close the front zipper you can open the top and open the bottom part from bottom up and flows a lot of air, it has level 2 armor on elbows, shoulders and back and has goretex, that's part of the jacket and always stays, you don't need to remove it if it's not raining, I love it.
Thanks. Do the pants have a tailbone pad?
hips and knees only on these
Do the pants have armor?
yes, in the knees and hips. D30
D30 level2
Eric could you please share some pics in the suit taken from a distance?
