@@LchanOtakudom fair I honestly feel like rezos dub voice just doesn’t work as good as the Japanese actor and this is coming from someone that mostly prefers the dub but still likes both versions
@@napasenseigaming I admit I am a lot more forgiving on the voice acting for any older anime, and I can’t compare the two personally. I see where you are coming from though, Koyasu Takehito is an IMPOSSIBLE act to follow! He’s my favorite seiyuu!
@@LchanOtakudomI can agree with you for the most part when comes to not trying to compare the dubs and subs of old anime’s too much and during my first watch of the anime I wasn’t really too focused on the acting Because I was focusing on the story and comedy of the show but however despite that I eventually got to see the Japanese version and I was like holy cow rezos voice is perfect and I remembered when I found out the actor I was like I knew I recognized the voice I felt like in the scene where shagbruhnigdo was reborn the Japanese crushed it they nailed rezos laugh and everything while in the dub It wasn’t as good witch was weird because I mostly preferred the dub Lisa Ortiz’s performance as Lina is really good but megami harashibaras is also good too although Lisa Ortiz I think captures the violent angry temper way better and Eric Stuwart as gourry I recognized him right away due to his voice and you can never go wrong with good ol under appreciated Eric Stuwart who I feel like deserves to be more than the OH YEAH he voiced kaiba sorta guy his behind the voice actors page is just a bunch of kaiba roles from video games these days witch makes me sad and the dub is filled with alot of what I consider to be the best 4kids voice actors doing an uncut anime dub witch I admire so the dub is mostly solid but rezos voice does take up til well copy rezo I feel for it to get to the point where it’s up to the quality of the other actors and chrispin freemen was a way better zelgadis in my opinion
