Watched several videos and yours was the best. I think people demonstrating the “how” need to keep in mind some people have never installed one of these before. So understanding how and why you cut the hose the way you do is important. Thank goodness for the lady asking the questions. Kudos to her. Thank you!
thank you so much you saved the life of my unit. I was about to throw it across the room. I did not realize I had to fill the canister halfway in order for it to prime properly😂
36 seconds in I already feel this is the best tutorial ever , just got one , think she was like why you didnt put blue one in tho lol /Subscribed Thanks
Quick question if I need to get into the filter to put some new pads in I bought how would I do that just turn off power and turn off in and out and then pop those and click those filter things on top and I’m good to go take it outside and get those pads in when I set it up the store had no pads so I had to set up as is but I have them now just wanted to know how to get into the filter when needed too thanks Trent
When I set mine up like this, it seem to clogged up after 3 weeks. Like it's to much filtration the water can't pass through all of it once it gets dirty.
So, putting this together now, I can't figure out how to connect the suction cups to anything. But seems the outlet needs to be held to the bank of the tank better.
I dont have any on my outflow tube and I think the suction cups are extras for the back of the intake I just made sure the little clip things on the tank are as tight as u can get em
So I set up my fx4 and i have lil air bubbles. I've read it could be due to my top tightened to much. How do I know how tight they should be? I keep loosening them expecting the top to fly off any minute with water everywhere.
i wouldnt be loosening them and you fx4 system will prime itself first meaning it will evacuate all the excess air from the canister so you will get bubbles for the first little bit but after at most an hour you shouldnt be getting air bubbles any more unless your intake hose has a small hole in it or isnt low enough and its sucking in a bit of air
I honestly just like the fx4 that's why I got a 2nd one. Once you know how to set up and maintain them it's a cakewalk. And wouldnt I need to cut holes in the bottom of my tank for that?? I wouldnt wanna mess with the integrity of the tank by putting my own holes in it. That's just asking for a flood 😥
3 months ago I bought a fx4 and now it stopped sending water to the aquarium, it reduced the flow to 0 I tried to contact the store and the river but the answer I have is that I need to buy a new one I am very upset and I do not recommend this canister because I lost it too much money with something that doesn't work.
Ouch I'm very sorry to hear that however if you filled out your warranty it's good for a year and if it's just the flow back into your tank from the canister it could just be the propeller is off center and or clogged. Not sure what store you bought it from but fluval is a very good company and will remedy the situation if you contact them directly. Ps I do not work for nor am I sponsored by fluval I've just used them for years and stand by their product
The fx4 on the initial setup will do a sort of purge once you lock the system and start it but when I clean my filters yes I rinse them in the dirty fish water that I'm taking out as to not kill the healthy bacteria
You don't want sagging hose..... Words to live by lol

What did u mean by aquarium Salts. U can put that un with your fish??? Thought it's not good?
Çok teşekkür ederim tamamlayıcı bir video olmuş ellerine sağlık dostum ❤
I just bought this filter and its not pumping any water through the intake and hardly pumping water through the outtake. Please help
Do you have it filled up before you close the canister?? Aka priming your filter?

You can see this guy's so hype

Should I be able to feel any suction on the intake tube?
Yes however when you first start it up it will run for a second then stop and restart by itself about a min later
I just added mine to a roma with biohome media lets see i may even add the spray bar also
I run the same filtration on my 75 gallon, what is your take on Bio-Home and how would you set up?
I apologize but I don't know what bio home is
@@tr3nt1nat0r. it's Media that many of us use, youtube Pond Guru or Biohome media, ordered mine Thursday.
@@tr3nt1nat0r. wait so you have to cut the hose in half?
@@Dark_Karma26 yes there are rubber pieces on both ends and those attach directly to the filter. The cut ends come up and go into your aquarium
@@tr3nt1nat0r. hey thanks
Nice vid!
Should I add water to the inside of the filter
Yes absolutley add water to the filter before closing it all up that way it primes properly
Great video
Great video, why not uses a sump for your larger tank ?

@@tr3nt1nat0r. Thank you for reply I have a 50 gallon tank and I have a 307 fluval I love it Easy to maintain

What tank size did you put your fx4 on?
I have 2 90 gallons each with an fx4
Big help thx
Quality bud
seriously, you should not film vertically, you do know you lose 66% of the frame.
No I didn't thanks for the tip
What about the O-RING?
I'm confused what's the question??
We're you trying to make the video as fast as possible? 😭
Just trying to get it done in a decent amount of time and I'm not much of an editor lol
@@tr3nt1nat0r. I'm just joking anyway and I used it to help me set my FX4 up so thank you, dude!
Lol all good man glad I could help
Thanks broo
How big is your tank?
that one is a 90 gallon
forgot to rinse the media and 🧽

Nice to see a Guy setting up a filter whilst on speed. 😊
Just kidding! Good video.
