After Gregorek says "My brothers..." Nick 100% should have ended the scene by asking "What do you think of your grandfather's stories now?"

One of Nick’s most impressive fights in my opinion. Gelumcaedus’ are strong enough to shake people so hard that their arms detach from their sockets, and Nick beat three of them decisively.

You have to remember that Grimms have been empowered through supernatural intervention to be able to take on Wesen on equal terms. Plus as to the origin of the Original Grimm, there is nothing to know about Them (since there is no telling if it was a man or a woman) except that they were born of a normal Human parentage and so as such they are clearly some sort of mutation. Perhaps these parents were empowered in some magical way through a spell and as such they then gave birth to a Grimm, maybe one of the parents had been cursed by a Hexenbiest, nothing in the mythos of the show indicates what the truth was because it wasnt recorded but what WAS recorded was that all the Grimms are descended from the same original Grimm and the abilities are passed down as dominant traits through the bloodline and it hasnt wavered yet because to every Grimm their children have been Grimms.
@@revparravager3184 all true but grims have been killed in the past. Nicks mother for instance. there were situations where they tried to use nick when they had control over him, if they had simply killed him at that point he would not have been capable of defending himself.
Great series. in a way I want them to carry on but on the other hand I am worried they will screw it up.
@@rustynails6626 well obviously even Grimms can be killed they arent Gods but they arent that easy to kill and it would take some doing.
Think about this troble, aunt Marie, and Nick's mom were all civilians with atleast some combat training and where already badass. Nick was trained at the police academy in combat training and took out these guys with ease now imagine a grimm with extensive military training that would be a grimm that even the most primal of vessen would look at and think yeah nope...

@@Henrique-Melliyes and no they are human however they have supernatural strength, speed and agility nick is different from his ancestors because he got some upgrades he got enhanced hearing, sight and some extra abilities that other grimms didn’t have. Grimms back in the old days would kill any wesen on sight that was the Grimm mentality that Kelly and nicks aunt Marie had but Kelly kinda changed that when she met Monroe. Sometimes grimms were hired to kill any out of control wesen that could cause exposure for their kind. Though grimms are pretty rare especially in nicks day and age. Also nick had the advantage of being a trained cop so he already knew how to fight and his powers only kicked in when he was already working as a cop after he graduated police school so while he was born a Grimm he didn’t get his powers till pretty late but he did know hand to hand combat that as I said automatically made him a very dangerous Grimm I could only imagine what a Grimm with military training would be like. Not even nicks mum and aunt were that well trained they were civilians not cops or military or trained they learned while hunting so this made nick an extremely dangerous opponent already.

To be fair, they beat him size. That's what they thought they needed. But clearly experience and creativity in fighting won out.
I always thought it was cool how when he recognized Nick as a Grimm, he said "Decapitare" from their old latin roots. I did think their "alligator form though was one of the ones I was least impressed with in looking like the real animal version.
