    Carl loves seeing the reactions from people when he cracks a dry humour joke. You can see his eyes light up when he mentioned signing a picture. So funny. In all seriousness though, people need to realise that Groves fought Froch when he was in his early 20's and there's 10 years between them. It's kind of crazy how good Groves was. It's a massive shame that he retired so young because I genuinely think that he could've dominated his weight class. I think George is one of the most underrated British boxers.

    • @ajawbox
      @ajawbox Рік тому +1

      & in the same breathe you have to say Froch fought groves when he wss 36, at the end of his career, and he went punch for punch with one of the biggest punchers in the division who was young, hungry and techbically very good. And an old Froch still managed to get hin out of there twice. Both are great british fighters but for me Froch was on another level, not many fighters in world boxing could take the sort of punishment Froch took for them first 6 rounds of the first fight and still mamage to scrape a result. Bloke had a granite chin and a lions heart. foesnt get the credit he deserves, he wss tough enough to fight in any era at supermiddleweight.

    The build up to the rematch was phenomenal and I still rewatch it all every now and again. The grudge really was authentic which made it all the more enjoyable to watch. After George won all the mind games in the build up to the first fight every face to face interview they did together was electric because you really had no idea what would happen between the two of them and who would win on that particular day. I was a Carl Froch fan and I really saw George as the bad guy in the build up. After George floored Carl in the first match I really had a sense of dread and excitement during the rematch because I did think Carl could lose and despite them both saying not much happened in the rematch I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, it was real white knuckle stuff

    Froch does love the sound of his own voice, but a great couple of videos. How humble Groves is now. Amazing. I remember watching these fights back in the day, amazing battles. I am in the camp that feels FvG1 was stopped too early but feel Froch would have won if it went on. Great fights, lovely to see the way this relationship has worked out. It's never too late!

    I remember that recipe ringside and Carl was definitely about to cry….and he asks Eddie what’s going on and George says…Eddie can’t help you…it was classic
