Ive been looking around for this! Ive managed to find a few prototypes but nothing out on the market. Yours is the best Ive seen. Short of making one for myself, there are no options that I can find. Anything I can do to help, just let me know. You've got a great product there Scott.
This is an OK design. HOWEVER, if you pause the video at 00:46, notice that the hammock is NOWHERE near the support arms. In fact, you can draw a straight line from the PIVOT POINT to the hammock attachment point and have ZERO chance of the hammock touching the metal. This means it was OVER ENGINEERED, and worse, made HEAVIER and CUMBERSOME FOR SHIPPING due to the needless angle. This stand requires only STRAIGHT STEEL supports. Furthermore, if the arms were pivoted from the TOP at about 2 o'clock instead of the BOTTOM as they are, you could then OFFSET THEM, and the now straight arms would pivot inward and LAY FLAT ON THE HITCH CARRIER side by side. OR, if TWO hitch pins such as the one shown are used with NO pivot on each arm, then the arms can simply be REMOVED and carried separately. Somebody will one day undertake these and hit the necessary mass sales price of $199. Harbor Freight? Buehler?
I would love to put this through the Big Shell test. We have a motto...PINS (Padre Island National Seashore) destroys everything, but his look pretty sturdy :-) Think it would fare well...wonderful piece of innovation! Congratulations!
I found that the main problem was shipping size. UPS and FEDEX won't take it. Too big. Shipping on a pallet is cost prohibitive. I'm trying to make it modular so it can be disassembled for shipping. If you live in Nor California, we can just deliver.... Give me till end of May please.
Michael, that was the prototype and we are about to produce them. So, we don't have any right now. Maybe you can help me with our marketing. I'd like to ask you a few questions. Please email me at scotto.oakes@gmail.com.... if you don't mind.
This is the absolute best one of these I have seen. I would buy!

Oh man. this is a great idea. Exactly what I was looking for for soccer games with the kids.
Agreed awesome...was any headway made towards any sort of production?
Did you ever get this project off the ground? Great concept!!

Harbor Freight? Buehler?
I’d buy
Great idea. Telescoping arms and aluminum would have been a good way to go as well I'd think. The platform itself could have folded also.
George. We never put this into production, so there are none to sell.

Salt water eats everything. SWEE
Great design... I stopped to see who sold it and for how much.
Hans, we are not making them anymore. Feel free to copy the design and make your own.
@@scottoakes177 Well you should be complimented on the design none the less.

Thanks for the update
😳 where and how much??
Sorry, that video showed the prototype and I could never get the builder to produce them in large quantities...so... there are none...
Any status on this? Would love to help you market this
@Kahuna,my target price is $299.
@Justin, thanks!
@Michael, I will hopefully have some to sell by August... sorry for the wait.

I'm a welder as well, I would like plans too
If you would like plans, contact the engineer on the project. Todd Remund. todd@bakedindustries.com.
How and where do I get one?
I want one
What's it cost ?
Hammock Hitch is not moving forward with present manufacturer. So, I can't help you. Copy the idea and get a welder to make you one.
How can I get myself one of these?
+Tucker Wilkins
The project never "lifted off the ground". So, we never started producing them. Sorry

Sorry to hear about your idea...what happened?
The manufacturer is too busy making good money on another product.
The manufacturing plant went in a different direction making pilates machines and didn't see big volume in Hammock Hitch...
Ben, I'll find out for u and let u know
