One of the best explanations I have seen to explain this procedure. Soon I will be having this done and this helps to keep the anxiety down--understanding. Thank you, Doctor, for providing this complicated procedure to us who are still learning.

Nursing student here and I just had the "ah-ha!" Moment when you said going in a vein vs an artery for what side of the heart you're trying to reach! 🤯. Thanks!!

The only way to really find out about blockages. Saved my life when discovering 3 blockages ( 1 at 100 % and two at 80% blocked). Open heart surgery led to quadruple bypass and feel so much better (list 15 lbs., quit the sugar and alcohol which now I do not even crave). All this from not being able to get enough air while trying to do everyday chores.

Thank you for explaining the difference. I didn't feel other sites or Wikipedia was providing a good explanation of RHC vs. LHC. I got it.

A left anterior artery had 100% blockage on in-stent stenosis, upon catheter procedure they found out that there was a collateral vein that developed within the left anterior. The patient experienced a spasm then the procedure was stopped. Is that ok? They insert it through the arm. Kindly explain it more please thank you

I've been self-diagonizing since doing so of DVT in my left calf in 9/2019.
Final able to get health insurance using Social Security Disability Benefits. Medi-cal is a joke for needing to see specialists.
Ever since the onslow of DVT & PE both lungs, I've lost the ability to walk farther than 40 yards; collasping, with extremely fast heart rate and exbaltioning for 3-5 minutes until heart slows and breathing becomes normal. Now I can only walk riffle 30 yards before going down. Then the third walking attempt is even less.
Doctors at Sharp Memorial Hospital are perplexed as to what continues to affect my quality of life with zero explaination.
What would your thoughts be...if successful in a proper diagnosis, you will be compensated.
    Thank You

Very nervous but reading this, much less so. My BNP is 8000 plus. Fatigue is immeasurable. Breathlessness too. Thank you.

I just had this done on Friday. I can't remember much of it because of what drugs they gave me. I remember feeling a burning sensation in my groin. Unfortunately, they couldn't repair it with angioplasty so I'm looking at open heart bypass in the next few weeks.

How painful is this right and left heart cath thing going to be? The dr doesn’t really tell me. He said have extra beats in lower part and heart failure.

I hope he doesn't try to acces my coronary arteries via any vein. If you are going to explain an invasive procedure, please use proper anatomical terms.
