    Excellent detail and answered my question about the placement. Appreciate all the DIY tips cause who likes to F it up when you're looking for a successful outcome. Great to avoid those first-timer mishaps. And helpful to have the needed tools at the ready. Only thing that would make it easier - would be if you came and did mine. ;-} - - but don't let others touch. my bike. Thanks again and no off to do my install. I liked, I subscribed, I'll search for more.

      Yep it’s super useful I got myself the biltwell exfil I think it’s called the 48 I can’t remember lol. But yeah dude…. I love just slipping a bag over it and pulling it off when I get to work…. Super simple. I haven’t gotten out to do like any moto camping or any huge trips with it yet where I have a bunch of luggage but I’m confident it will work amazingly :)

    Will this easily bend? Is the shelf strong?

    • @FASTLANEMOTO

    What were the torque specs? Can't find them.

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO  2 місяці тому +1

      Super weird I can no longer find them on their web site under accessories they used to always have all the install instructions for download….. you can probably find them on an owners group etc… just look for the specs to install the rear solo rack for the appropriate year.

    Hey! I'm new to the channel and to motorcycles and was wondering what do you need to consider when you are getting your first bike?

    • @FASTLANEMOTO
      @FASTLANEMOTO  Рік тому +1

      I think when you’re first starting to ride….. a bike that is light and you feel really comfortable on is key. Opinions very on this but even for me My first street bike was the Rebel 300 ….weighs about 340 lbs has a very low seat height and the power won’t scare you…..you will end up wanting more power down the road but bikes of about that caliber are a good place to start. Royal Enfield has some really economical and cool choices for bikes with power around 350 cc’s…..Here in the states you can buy any bike you want and ride it from day one….no matter how big , powerful or heavy….but in some other countries around the world it’s not like that….. you start on a bike that is like a 125 and under and have to ride that for like 2 years…then you can move up to a bigger bike day a 350 for a couple years before you can move up to bigger etc…..probably not a bad idea.
      A used bike can also be an option as long as it’s not incredibly old….a lot of people like to start on the Rebel 250’s…. Super easy low and light….plus you can pick one up cheap and sell it in a year for probably what you paid for it.
      Those are my initial thoughts :) Thanks for watching and let me know what you end up getting :)

      Not trying to over speak the narrator here, but learn your limitations first. I started riding in '82 (1980 CM400), and the dealer told me to hold the front brake and lean over as far as I could without dropping the bike (he was standing on the inside of the lean). This was a good idea, taught me about weight transfer, and anything that's kinda easy sitting still - is even easier while moving (centrifugal force). Just learn slowly, and keep the rubber side down. Old Greg.

      Thanks! I just ordered the sissy bar, without rack. Plan on getting a leather bag, so I can ditch the right side half canvas saddle bag that came on the bobber. I've never seen you before, but I especially liked that you didn't reach for a "power tool" for removal. After 38 years in the bike shop, I'd suggest a hand impact and hammer on unknown fasteners.
