I bet that noise is not from the phono stage per se but from the tubes being close to the phono stage. Changing the tubes will probably affect the noise making it better or worse.. lol
Tube amps are incredible and they just sound better for the money. The problem with tubes comes when you need a huge amount of power (i.e Maggies)... things get complex very quickly when you need more than 100wpc. In all the other cases, tubes are the way to go and you can get really high-end sound for little money b/c best tube amp designs have more 50 years and are public domain, any company or person can make a top notch sounding tube amp without spending a dime in R&D. That's why most of them sound great.
@@MadAudiofficial great! You'll see when you get used to the "tube sound" is very hard to go back to solid state. I'm not against SS, there are tons of solid state amps that sound as beautiful as a tube amp but they are damn expensive. 😂
@@net_news but good tubes amps are expensive to or? For example this mastersound is around 5K! I saw something Chinese also around 1.5K but not sure about the quality, maybe i will test one!
@@MadAudiofficial sure but even affordable tube amps sound beautiful, for example, you can get a Primaluna for $2k or $3k... to get that level of sound using solid state you have to spend way way more.
