- In the American tradition, commercial banking claimed public support in exchange for delivering public services. It has become increasingly clear that those services are both failing the poor and distributing resources, including access, authority, profits, and credit, along lines of race.
What happened in Tulsa was not a riot. It was a massacre.

If you haven't read it yet, you would like her book "The Color of Money - Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap." I think it's a must read for all Americans, especially ADOS. In it, Ms. Baradaran gives a blow-by-blow account of the institutional and legislative, racial discrimination against us. Every ADOS household should have her book.

Slaves were used almost exclusively in agriculture, not manufacturing. So no. Slaves did not build America. Any wealth southerners may have built on the back of slavery was completely erased by the civil war. Whole plantations were burned to the ground.
