I can't imagine a turbo on one mine has plenty of power and torque in natural aspirated factory form. I've heard that you couldn't put a turbo on the early 510 but I ain't no mechanic so who's the BSer obviously not you . Anyway, I want to restore mine some day like yours However, yours is so awesome looking i hope that mine some day will look almost as good. Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR BUD. No, pto clutch is out so can't dyno it. Boost is around 1.5 bar . Injection pump is out of a MF500 dozer, has 9mm plungers instead of original 8.5mm and no cold start retard notches in them so it can be turned up all the way. Pump was changed after I made this video.
Okay. The turbo on this engine should boost it a lot ? The perkins V8 have some horsepower without a turbo but with a turbo I guess you have a couple more (sorry for my not perfect english, I'm french and I only learn english at school^^).
@@MFV8 Leave the injection pump alone. If you turn it up to much you will get flaking off on the inside the lines from the pump to the injector. Change the injector tips to the ones used on the 2805 and it will stop the problem and give you the extra HP you want.

I put a lot of hours on a 1150 turbocharged. I pulled a 24 foot field cultivator.
Then I traded it for a 1155. Much nicer cab.

The turbo is a genuine part of the engine or you added one ?
Not genuine, I made all the pipes and parts myself, turbo is just a standard Holset HX40 super you can buy anywhere.

@@countrygent4 better do both. The bigger injector doesn't really add much, maybe a few percent more
