Jagan Reddy is claiming 150+. Let’s do some number crunching. Before that let’s consider two Districts Prakasham and Nellore poll predictions. TDP is expected to sweep Nellore this time and in Prakasham, TDP performed well in 2019 also. TDP is expected to get 15+ seats in these two districts.
In 2019 Jagan Reddy won 151 seats is common knowledge. Since this time TDP is in alliance with JSP, let’s see what’s YSRCP performance against alliance in 2019.
YSRCP managed majority in just 112 seats if we club TDP and JSP votes. Since YSRCP swept Rayalaseema let’s see what is happening upto Guntur. Total 101 seats are up for grabs, since TDP is expected to win 15 seats in Prakasham and Nellore. TDP need 73 seats for majority.
1. TDP+JSP could have won 53 in 2019
Since most of the new voter’s are expected to vote for TDP+JSP. Let’s add those votes to TDP+JSP
2. New votes+TDP+JSP(2019)= 61 seats.
Let’s see what will happen if 2,500 votes are added from YSRCP to alliance. Alliance can win 71 seats. 71+15= 86 knocking on majority without Rayalaseema.
Let’s see what will happen if 5,000 votes are added from YSRCP to alliance. Alliance can win 83 seats. 83 just five shy of majority without Prakasham, Nellore and Rayalaseema.
Let’s see the breakup of 83 seats and the remaining 18 seats out of 101 seats. The victory margin breakup 👇
50,000 and above = 16 seats
25,000 and above = 26 seats
10,000 and above = 20 seats
5,000 and above = 9 seats
Less than 5000 = 12 seats
Loosing seats out of 101 - 83 = 18 seats.
Out of these 18 seats in 12 seats the loosing margin is less than 5,000.
