I agree with you...I would MUCH prefer someone to tell me "This is what has worked for me" when giving ideas/advice as opposed to "This is what you have to do". I think we need to keep in mind that there is not (that I know of) any mental stability or evidence of competency criteria for one to post on UA-cam. "This is what has worked for me" rings truer for me and also has the unspoken (but necessary) caveat that it may not work for everyone.
Hi Peter, I also stumbled upon your blog before your videos and it's good to have some responses. I wish things were more personalised content on UA-cam, and that we make videos that resonates with our values. Though i feel personality also plays a part. Some people just loves to make funny, clickbait, viral videos or brainrot with no specific purpose in mind. Think of young gaming creators who appeal to the younger generation as opposed to How-to's or business/self-improvement vids. Some people are serious, some are entertaining. Some document. Some are pre-planned. Because of this nature of goldfish brain, how audience will just easily skimp through another video in 5 secs or less, I think clickbait titles, or shocking titles will always be there to stay. The impact is far too great not to use. Maybe it's also because of how we now consume information? We want to know we will benefit before deciding whether it's worth watching till the end.
Hey Peter!! I've been following your travels and it's really fun to hear your updates and all the experiences you've had! I agree with people trying to tell you how to live your life, and I think at least part of it is from people trying to create the most profitable videos possible. There's so much click bait, filler content, and just overall fluff that is really distracting. It really pollutes UA-cam, and makes it feel like cable television. Folks say that they miss "the old UA-cam," but the truth is that it's still here. There are people like you with a face and a personality that is just spending a moment of life with you, and it's honestly so refreshing. Thanks so much for doing what you do :)
Max!! Aww it's great to hear from you, thanks for following along! I hope you're doing well over there. I appreciate your kind words, they mean a lot. Glad to hear you resonate with this. I sure hope UA-cam doesn't turn into cable TV! 😂

Glad you also resonate with that mindset! I'm a way that's part of the beauty of this platform, that anyone and everyone can post
