I can’t understand the mentality of my fellow Guyanese, if we see that the road work is being poorly done, then why aren’t we holding politicians accountable? They’re playing with taxpayers money and it’s clear, no proper shoulders, no safe turning lanes, no sidewalks, and congested roundabouts and people are complaining yet nothing is being done to address the issues. It’s always people complaining with no form of protest or people settling for less and calling others ungrateful, it’s such a shameful part of this culture.
Almost no overpass in New York City. A city with over 8 million people and hundreds of thousands of roads and streets. So overpass cannot be that important. But I guess Guyana must build an overpass just to please one man who is lamenting every day about no overpass in Guyana. But, “Any fool can complain, condemn and criticize. And most fools do”.
There are dozens of overpasses in New York City. You obviously don’t drive or you would know that all the bridges involve overpasses. FDR drive, Major Deegan, BQE, The Belt Parkway and all the parkways and expressways have overpasses and underpasses.
@@RaphaelNationThat’s my point, those overpass are not on local roads and streets. Those are major highways. Belt Parkway, BQE, FDR, Mayor Deegan and etc. are all major highways. You, for some reasons, want them to put overpass at roundabout at Aubrey Road and etc.
I don’t think that you’ve ever visited or lived in NYC if you think that there are barely any overpasses, I lived there for the majority of my childhood. It’s interesting that someone who’s likely never set foot there feels confident enough to declare there are “almost no overpasses”, it makes you sound extremely uneducated or it may be that you’ve never travelled outside of Guyana. Dismissing something as ‘unimportant’ simply because you don’t understand its function says more about you than Raphael, Guyana has traffic problems and they need to be addressed properly, roundabouts on highways aren’t the answer and the evidence is clear just driving there. The government WILL dismantle these same roundabouts for overpasses in a few years. Sorry to tell you the inevitable.
Key points about overpass disadvantages: Accessibility issues: Stairs and ramps on overpasses can be difficult for people with disabilities or mobility impairments to navigate, making them less accessible than ground-level crossings.
Why the ppp didn't do this when they were building this highway to accommodate a roundabout for the new Demerara bridge. This is to show you that the ppp doesn't know what the heck they are doing. Now they have to dig up this road to make a roundabout. 😂
If the government would put on their big boy pants and work collectively with the opposition and ALL local government agencies to make Guyana a better country. Invest in the education sector by building university and vocational campuses in every region of the country. Human development is gravely lacking in Guyana. We cannot continue to import labor while our people suffer in poverty due to lack of education.
The opposition are sanctimonious gangsters. Plus, they are incompetent and incapable of doing any good. People seek out successful people to work with, they don’t seek out people that are failure at everything they do. Let the opposition, PNCR/AFC/APNU prove themselves to the Guyanese people after failing, miserably, in government for 5 years, 2015 - 2020. You don’t see the rapid development happening in Guyana under the PPPC government or are you living under a rock. I know that your dishonesty and delusion state would not allow you to see these things.
I would like to see the government invest in low income housing across the country to help alleviate squatting. Instead of giving out house lots, they should build apartment complexes. Housing cannot only be left for private sector developers only. The government will reciprocate the investment over time.
Its not and overpass for sure because the government never mentioned that in fact they are now thinking about overpasses in their new road developments and tram cars thats according to what minister edgehill said in his speech after the budget so the people that saying its an overpass are clearly delusional
Thanks for sharing
Wow ,seeing maintenance done at that round about is surprising, wow I pray that this maintenance becomes a Trent . I am proud to see this.
The brickwork of the water park is top of the line and the bricklayer who laid down the ONE GUYANA brick logo is a master of his craft.

Love Your videos. You are certainly highlighting the good bad and the ugly that's going on in Guyana.

You should have asked the workers about the project.

I may be wrong, but another option will be to install traffic lights on the roundabouts, if it will prevent accidents.
The roundabout was intended to replace traffic lights 🚦
You should have asked the workers what the finished product will be😅
This highway looks like Queens Boulevard, or the Conduit , in New York this is not considered a highway
They also need traffic control systems at the intersections of the highway.
No overpasses in guyana or just the capital 😮?

This is silly if a drain…use precast concrete structures for drainage. Bring the Dutch in
