Read the black ops 2 zombies comics, we can see primis making a pit-stop at Alcatraz for the blood vials This is the same but now the cycle is broken, which is why in blood intro richtofen says, "the lab should've been here". Basically things hav changed, if the cycle wasn't broken they would've been teleported directed into the lab like shown in comic. Post revelation richtofen hides in cryopod in Alcatraz (knowing primis crew will return for blood vials) since he knows about the cycle and things will keep on repeating. He destroys blood vials in end scene so the cycle would never repeat Post revelation richtofen basically gives up about trying to fix everything and hands off the responsibility to nikolai with the kronorium, letting him do whatever he sees fit (and since he's the only one with a soul)
He said I was the nicest one since he was the only richtofen who wanted to keep primis alive and the only way to do that was to have to cycle repeating. Breaking the cycle would mean the demise of primis Post revelation is/was also the same richtofen but he's given up.

There’s shit that pissed off the fans in some instances because it was only there to setup payoffs and reveals in the future but that they were baffled and annoyed by at the time. Everyone seems to completely forget that Origins presented us with a provocative finale that appeared to be the ending for zombies and presented it as a kids game between two young children but it was an epic misdirect that was never intended to end the story lol. There are statues of the main characters as knights with staffs and Samantha’s voice reaching out calling for help from another dimension that just seemed weird, random, and impossible to make sense of but it was setting in motion the entire Black Ops 3 plot that everybody pretty much loves.
