UK-led training of Ukrainian infantry where 'survivability' is key

- Ukrainian recruits just two weeks into their basic training are showing how they are learning the skills needed to survive back on the battlefields of their home country.
They are being hosted by the UK Armed Forces as they take part in a five-week infantry crash course.
Taking part in the north of England, the training has been carried out by a number of nations, including Norway, Holland and Britain, in teaching the Ukrainian personnel all things infantry.

As a former infantryman I feel really bad for these guys. Theres no way that training period comes close to being adequate. I wish them all the luck and good fortune in the world.
We are the baddies in this war?! The WEF led war mongers are our enemy
I'm sure they're getting more when they go back to Ukraine.
I suppose you have to just think of it as better than nothing?
Arent US soldiers kind of spoiled and lazy? For example, instead of having to dig trenches, they just can get on the radio and have whatever is in front of them blown up
It's called CUF drill for a reason.
May God keep them healthy.
These Ukrainians will be far better trained and supported than many of the Russians they will be facing when they return home. And when they return home they may be part of a massive breakout of Ukrainian forces in the south and in Kherson that may be underway. This war may be over soon in large part thanks to the aid and support of the UK, US and allies in making sure that Ukrainians got what they needed when they needed it. Like this invaluable training.
What planet are you living on?!
@@johnnydiamondsmusic1673 plant?
A giant rhododendron...
The AFU is through the Russian secondary lines and is driving on Verbove. They're also across the Dnipro and expanding their bridgeheads there.
Once the AFU reaches the Azov this war changes entirely.
@@johnnydiamondsmusic1673come on then! Why won't Russia be defeated?? Ukrainian soldiers are doing a grand job! If France invaded us would you roll over and take it?? 😂😂
Would’ve been over nearly a year ago, if the fat albino jellyfish had kept his WEF nose out of Kiev… The WEF, NATO, EUSSR, et al, are the problem, and not the solution…
@@dougcoombes8497Shit up!!
I'd love to hear the interviewer ask - "Do you wish you and the lads wish you were going with these blokes you've just trained to help Ukraine?"
Great job all around.
Don't be surprised when many say no.
@@5eyesalliance785 Oh I don't doubt it just interested to know.
All Ukrainian heroes!
Fighting their own countrymen… Real brave
Brave folk. I wish them all the best, and Putin all the worst.
Pooty poot is the goody in this scenario […] wakey wakey
The Ukrainian army is probably more battle hardened than the uk army at this point
Hardened at taking incoming, that’s for damn sure
Thank you lads
is this translated live? Why does the translator struggle with the translation?
Maybe because he isn’t speaking his first language and English is a very hard language to learn? How many languages can you speak
@@lachlanchester8142 why not translate it off-screen, write it down and then read it slowly and steadily?
It wasn't translated live. It appears that way thanks to the edit.
The translator is Ukrainian who apart from speaking his own language, speaks fluent Russian and very reasonable English. These guys (and girls) have to understand Norwegian English among many other varieties from the partner countries. Also consider that many Ukrainians spoke Russian as a first language so its not easy.
@@gordonmac3616 fair point. But why not write it down, translate it and the read it again instead of doing it on the fly? Seems a bit unprofessional if its recorded and not streamed…
Why is the Norwegian Training Company soldier wearing a face covering? The Ukrainians - OK, but...
The Norwegian appears to be wearing the rank of Visekorporal, isn't that the equivalent of a British Army Private as an Other Ranks - 2 (OR-2)?
Anyone getting ukrainian kneecap injury flashbacks from watching this.
It’s funny how everyone involved and invested in supporting Ukraine but none of the support we saw was being invested in Iraq or training Iraqi security forces despite the fact that uk 🇬🇧 and us was main reason to cause all the chaos that happened in Iraq in the following years of invasion
Actually what you have written here is patently untrue and 180 degrees out.
We tried but as with dealing with Islamic countries, they can’t be trusted and betrayed us. Never again.
Wow I personally trained Iraqi forces! The difference is the Iraqis I worked with were more interested in shagging each other, drinking moonshine and not turning up for patrols! They had no discipline, motivation or backbone! Fact!
There was huge investment in training Iraqi and Afghanistan forces. I think the quality of the "raw material " may have been questionable
@@davidjones3712 that’s what am talking about the lack of equipment and materials for the Iraqi security forces (I kinda understand why that) because the involvement of Iran and how majority of Iraqi security forces takes Iran side for religious reasons but what the most advance weapons the Iraqi security forces receive besides the F-16 ? The saw ? Squad automatic weapon?
And all of those investors and money went down the toilet 🚽 in first true challenge when isls came and swiftly defeated the Iraqi forces and took half of iraq and took years and internationally support to defeat them
🤨😑

An estimate 40K - 50k Ukrainian soliders died in the counter offensive in the last three months... really sad 😔
Evidence?
shut up and eat bacon
@@caractacus22 that does sound abit high, but it is true that there is high casualties on each side. Although its not all deaths. If you hurt your ankle and cant walk, you are a casualty but not killed.
They've suffered that many casualties not dead. The forces used in the counter offensives including the western trained better equipped ones only numbered around 100,000.
I've been seeing the figure of killed about 8-9k since the offensives began.
That's still a lot since they've barely gained any ground.
To be expected given the amount of defensive lines and using modern tech can do.
If you get wounded and get to a dressing station as a Ukrainian you’ve got a 90% chance of survival, whereas the Russians just leave you in the field, it’s your own responsibility to get yourself back.
So the Ukrainians have higher morale. Still, it’s all brutal.
This training is a joke, these boys are just meat for the grinder
Training looks good to me!
Better than no training at all.
Instructors with no combat experience
Why is the Uk helping Ukraine
Paradise and Panamá Papers scandals.
A lot of the most famous tories, moguls and royal family move millions through ukrainians banks to tax havens out of the UK.
