There is one great tip that will stop your dog from eating her poop. You just put a little bit of banana in her food. Later when she poops it has some special smell that apparently dogs don't like. It worked with my dog, you should TRY IT too! 😃

Have you tried running outside with a mask? I wasn't sure how the breathing situation would be, but I felt fine when I ran laps on a hill while wearing a mask. I have little plastic goggles, light as paper, that I wore too. Afterall, it's possible to get the virus through the eyes.

Why not make a podcast and invite different guests that can speak to you on their different advocacy issues and work? Get involved with Black's and Latinos like that and more immigrants. I think you could do some good. I'm sure you can consult with a manager or someone on how to go about hat type of content. Talk to academics about academic issues. Doing more serious content is always a good thing.

I think Paige and Holly also mentioned it, Defunding the police. Can you explain what that's about?
Among all the good initiatives I fear it might be a huge bandwagon people jump onto that might have an opposite effect. I think the police might need to higher better qualified people or better train the ones they already have. Less money will only mean less quality and less people. Both crime and the behavior of some policemen are symptoms of problems in society not causes.
I've looked into some issues, most are very different than where I live. What's universal is that some problems need to be fixed before you can fix other symptoms in society.
More good jobs, support for one parent families, access to decent housing all can benefit all immensely. Like poverty hits minorities harder solutions will help them way more also.
Additional support is needed for equal opportunities, but simply better integration and job programs for ex-cons can already make a huge difference. Focus on prevention, mild punishment for first time offenders (like minor drug possession) and guidance can stop the unnecessary creation of career criminals like now.
One needs to break the cycle of poverty - crime - prison - poor single parent family - shitty neighborhood - low education - low job opportunity - poverty. Meanwhile over-representation of minorities in poor neighborhoods leads to a bias, assumptions and discrimination which makes it even worse for minorities.
This in turn - finally - leads to assumptions of police officers and unfair treatment. But this might be a very small part, a symptom, of a much bigger problem. Even if the police would treat all equally, most problems affecting all poor people would still affect minorities more.
It might be funds might be spend better but it seems so weird to me that defunding the police itself is what people think will solve anything!
in regards to defunding the police, reforming police has been attempted in many areas including Minneapolis where George Floyd was murdered. The issue is that police officers are holding too many jobs that they are not trained for. There is no reason they should be called in 90% of cases. They are not trained to work with mentally ill people yet they are dealing with the homeless population which many are mentally ill. They are not therapist, they are not social workers. If we defund the police, we can have less police officers doing more specified jobs they are actually trained for and allocate the funds to more appropriate people to handle most issues. AOC described it perfectly when asked what a country post defunding police looks like. She said, "It looks like suburbs. Affluent white communities already live in a world where they choose to fund youth, health, housing, etc more than they fund police. These communities have lower crime rates not because they have more police but bc they have more resources to support healthy society in a way that reduces crime. Where a teenager or preteen does something harmful in a suburb (I say teen bc this is often where lifelong carceral cycles begin for Black and Brown communities). White communities bend over backwards to find alternatives to incarceration for their loved ones to "protect their future," like community service or rehab or restorative measures. Why don't we treat Black and Brown people the same way? Why doesn't the criminal system care about Black teens' futures the way they care for White teen's futures? Why doesn't the news use Black people's graduation or family photos in stories the way they do when they cover White people (eg Brock Turner) who commit harmful crimes? Affluent White suburbs also design their own lives so that they walk through the world without having much interruption or interaction with police at all aside from community events and speeding tickets (and many of these communities try to reduce those, too!z0 Just starting THERE would be a dramatically and radically different world than what we are experiencing now.

I agree with most, especially the alternatives with young delinquents. I once read it's possible to get 7 years for a first time offense like carrying drugs (even a personal use amount). In another place you can get away with a warning, so random! Instead of setting someone straight prison converts them to real criminals for sure. That's so sad AND a waste of money that could help several people get their life on track.
The comparisons between suburbs and ghettos, white and black communities might not be totally fair. A neighborhood with extreme joblessness will have more crime than a picket fence two income suburb. But I agree, that neighborhood may need people like social workers even more!
I once heard about halfway housing. What I understand it's in between prison and a shelter. Maybe you can even check yourself in like a rehab. Is that or a similar concept a thing that you know? That and community kitchens (not sure what these are called) could also be a great way to create jobs for a double benefit. It might cost a lot of money but job experience, especially for the young jobless could be a stepping stone to something better and prevent a life of crime.
I'd still rather call it Fund the social sector but with hatred against the police I guess Defund the police is easier to get people behind!
Maybe one thing can be that end almost every video, no matter what it’s for, with some simple fact about racism/privilege ect. Just something everyone will understand and a link for more information (maybe a link to a black UA-camd ect or Instagram). You’re the best!

My dog use to do that with poop too. It has to do with the dog food. If you switch it up it won’t happen. Hope that helps!

I was heart broken last week when on our news during a BLM protest a picture of a sweet innocent 8 year old girl of color who with her parents driving minding their own business till some one in the protest peppered there car with bullets the sweet little girl passed away point being guns kill your police abuse them by shooting also when we see mass shootings happen in the USA people say they want gun control for 5 mins then back to normal so with all the BLM wish I applied you for trying to make change and become more educated perhaps gun laws should be part of the conversations to go with change? When a dag eats other animal poop it’s ok - they do it the same way their ancestors wolves do BUT if the dog is eating its own poop it IS a problem. It means the dog is needing something he is not getting - maybe he lacks vitamin or he is not eating enough. I was giving my dog only wet food and it turned out he also needs dry food and then he stoped eating poop! Please see the doctor if it continues

I really like the Ripple brand of protein products (Target/Amazon). It’s a little pricey but it’s one of the only few that I’ve had that isn’t grainy and doesn’t have a weird after taste. Definitely gonna look into the brand you showed, though.
