Don't get me wrong, I love Blues Saraceno, but every damn "dark country playlist" is just him and 2 other guys over and over again. This playlist is exactly what I've been looking for: an original, instrumental work with a consistent atmosphere and style, yet one that somehow avoids repetition. Bravo. Your Viking mix also kicks serious ass.
I love Blues Saraceno too, such a great music! listened a lot to them when I was writing the wild west album. If I have more time again, I like to do a 2nd Wild West Album in the direction of Blues Saraceno.
This is like what watching a gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2 feels like. I think it's so nice that you see wild west culture getting into a mix of how the in-depth analysis of life back among the dark ages took a turn for the worst as our ancestors did all they could to survive.
I like to open 2 windows with UA-cam, listen to this on one and watch silent driving tours through Scottsdale AZ on the other, even all those modern places. 🌵🌵🌵
Red Dead Redemption would be more fitting than 2. RDR2 ditched the awesome spaghetti western tracks in favor for more generic music. It's still pretty good, but its nowhere near as atmospheric. Triggernometry is a way better combat track than any of Arthur's.
@@thisdude9363 I agree with everything you said. But imo RDR2 raised the stakes, created awesome tension and an amazing atmosphere. Plus, it made me care way more about every character especially Arthur as opposed to John in RDR1. I love RDR1, always will, but RDR1 kind of threw us in a world that we knew nothing about and had to piece together which was very cool....but... RDR2 revealed everything, left no loose ends, while giving us depth and weight to these characters. Praise aside, R* sucks, they let their greed for GTA overtake them and it's tainted RDR2, which is really undeserving. It's pathetic and disappointing. Everyone should boycott GTA 6 and everything they release from here on moving forward.
@@TheProdiKaLiSon nah not GTA6, if anything GTA6 will be more of spiritual successor to RDR2 based on the actual leaks. But boycotting GTA5 is a great idea since it probably has a bigger dev team than GTA6 (sadly) and it would do everyone a favour if they moved it GTA6 and RDO
One of the best dark western instrumental compilations I’ve ever heard on UA-cam. No lyrical songs, no distracting electric guitar, nothing! Keep these coming :D
Wow! That was such a fun listen :D Amazing music. Standing ovation from me. Cheers!!!! OK......EDIT LOL I wrote the above comment after hearing 5 songs. I just finished it and want to say that was beautiful. Soo thought out and well composed. You got the mood just right too.
I'm playtesting a Wild West-esque ttrpg and am playing a character type called a Warden. I've been really struggling to find a playlist theme for her and this is PERFECT! Thank you so much!
Currently writing down ideas for a layout for a wild west story. So using music for inspiration for characters. Just trying to figure out if i should keep it straight realistic wild west or add in some improved gadgets like mechanical holsters.
You are awesome. I loved this playlist. Its not common in my country that ppl listen to this so was hard to find this style in my youth but i made it im here. Keep the good work cause this is amazing.
This just entered the OST of my life. On the "You have to listen to the complete album every time, because of reasons..." Playlist. I already found it on Spotify.
You have great and very high quality music! Got a lot of pleasure from listening! I wish you good luck in your career and in the development of the channel!
This just came up in my UA-cam Feed and I couldn't be happier. Also, your licensing rights are perfect for a future product of mine. Thank you. Subscribed.
I'm planning a Call of Cthulu campaign set in the Wild West. Just bought the bundle of this volume and the second. Incredible work. Can't wait to use it!
Sometimes I like the blues, sometimes it's rock. Lately the algos have been sending me to organic downtempo DJ mixes, and that's okay, I enjoyed them, especially after a bowl or two. Then there's times like this now where I just need to chill, relax, de-stress and all that. This is just what I needed, didn't even know I'd want it. Marika, thanks, you're making me a mellow Mick. It didn't take long to subscribe and like. Cheers. ☘ 😎
Fantastic! I sadly quelled the urge to drone on for a few paragraphs in the same vein as the narrator from BL3: Bounty of Blood DLC. Anyways, excellent work, Vault Hunters’ from every part of lands’ goin’ to be happy to get the chance at a listen!
Just found your channel. Amazing music!!! It really gives great vibes. I watch a lot of content creators who make up stories with great editing in the game Rust. Almost all of them are using the same music and I imagine they would love to use your music to really stand out. Some of the biggest creators are: Frost, Blooprint, Willjum and Stevie. Would love to see your music feature in their movies :D
Amazing, I typically enjoy the Cyberpunk/Synth-wave style, however when I saw ' Spaghetti-western', I thought, Brillant, I need to listen. It was only 100 years ago that we were still coming out of the 'West', we have only had Cars for 100 years. It was a 150 years ago that we had the Steam Train and Boat travel and Horse, or you would Walk, so much has changed in so little time and this music reminds me of how far we have come. Brilliant p.s: I looked at your website, blown away!
I have to listen to instrumental music when I work/write, but almost everything that I've tried on youtube is too chill, like it's about to put me to sleep. I prefer music a little more intense, and this is EXACTLY what I was looking for an didn't even know it. Thank you so much for sharing this and I will absolutely be checking out all your other music. Such an incredible and unique sound, bravo
This is absolutely amazing! If I may ask, I have a few questions about the design. What is your general process in mixing and mastering, as for example the panning, reverb and 'width' of the tracks sounds TripleA quality! Sorry if this question is a bit vague.
Hello Kiran, for mixing i like to have the main melody parts a bit louder and i have less reverb. The Background instruments are panned left and right to move them back and a bit of reverb to give them more ambient space. I also like to double the guitars , different guitar instrument layers to give it a bit more punch. For mastering I use the iZotope balance control to check it first and then I compare it to tracks I like. I still want to learn more about that its very komplex..
I wish I'd found this sooner. I'm running a Wild Western/Arcanepunk D&D campaign that's about 2/3 of the way through as of making this comment. This playlist would have been perfect to have all the way through. At least I have it for the next time I run this campaign, and for the rest of this playthrough
Love the music. It's perfect for creating Weird Western stories like the one I'm making a story out of. Did you know there exists an actual role-playing game called Deadlands? You can create Weird Western characters with this music. My characters are a Mexican-Californian who becomes a rising gunslinger who vows vengeance on a necromancer and a gold-mining prospector in his 70s who drinks a magical tonic that makes him young and burly and dukes out on undead outlaws with his lethal pickaxe.
a mix of everthing :) I used a lot of Ujam Strings and Drums aswell as the ISW guitars like hydra or the pedal Steel also some Native Insturment Guitars. The strings and basses are mostly Project Sams Free Orchestra sounds.

This is my first time looking for a "dark country playlist"
Guessing i got lucky!
comment is funny af and correct
North...you might also like Justin Johnson, he has some "dark blues" videos that are an hour long.
I'm just listening to this in the background & bloody hell is it tremendous.

Hi there Cailin. That's sounds like good fun, how would I find that? Cheers. 😎
Needed some ambience for my DnD players investigating a murder mystery in a westernish themed town. You have exactly what I needed 👌
Hell imma use a song from here for my character inspired by raddle snake jake
@@-scaredfoxx-8371 If that's what you need, may I suggest Rattlesnake by Caravan of Thieves?

Also used for D&D in Eberron. The party was riding the Lightning Rail, midnight train.
Lol, I'm here for the same reason.
"Wild Horse" now feels like an official theme song for my novel. Thanks so much for the beautifully immersive inspiration!!
Have a link??? I'd love to read it
Would you kindly leave the name for us? I would love to read it
Is it available?
how is that novel going? any chance for a sneak peek?
Such soothing, yet powerful instrumentals. I'm very impressed. Keep up the great work!!!
45 seconds in and it already slaps.
Great Soundscapes. I like 'Run On' - slight Ennio Morricone vibe! 🙂🥁🎻🎺🎸🎼
