their first 2x ever was "Rough" their 3rd title, so when they promoted "Navillera" theri 4th title, they challenge to do their first two titles as well "glass bead" and "me gustas tu", so until then they have their 4 titles so far performed on weekly idol
yeah sinb said she doesnt want to take the position as the main dancer since she feel like she is not good enough. but you could tell how good she is, gfriend dances also different from other girl group since gfriend mostly do footwork, basically boy group dance. Sinb also said if one person from the group she wants to compliment the most and coud be mistaken as the main dancer is yuju.
I love how weekly idol always called Gfriend (yeo ja chin gu) as *god* ja chin gu
It give me goosbumps everytime they mentioned that. Its like everytime Gfriend invited to the show, they gonna put all attentions to them.
As far as i know, They are the origin of 2x speed at Weekly idol. ^^

At the first vid they actually did 3 speed dance, first navillera then glass bead last is me gustas tu thats why they kinda looks tired.
And the 3rd vid is the beginning of the 2x speed dance they do it without practicing. Shout out to that one buddy who called and requested gfriend to do speed dance
after their rough 2x speed became viral weekly idol decided to make 2x speed challenge as a permanent session¿ in weekly idol
I've read somewhere that Yuju said in a interview that the way they practice the choreography is that during a day they do 3 set of 7 times the full choreography in a row, 6 times just the dance and 1 time dancing and singing. Also most of the time, the choreographer is not there so SinB and Sowon are is in charge and they practice by themself and they must film themself too and send the video to the choreographer who send a video back. That is how GFriend practiced all their dances and became perfect at it and perfect in their synchronisations.

TFTMN 2x speed dance always amaze me, the original speed is already fast and doing it in 2x speed must be really tiring. Also, they did TFTMN rollercoaster dance challenge (changing the speed of the song) in that same episode and they are the first group to succeed.
It's usually 1.5 x speed, but that's fast enough.
If I remember correctly, the 2X speed dance challenge was created for GFriend. The aced the random play dance too easily in Weekly Idol so they decided to make the 2X Speed Dance Challenge that later developed into 2X Speed Random Dance Challenge.
Im so proud as Buddy everytime i watch these queens 2x speed dance...they literally can do 3 song in speed dance version in one episode and you can see Yerin still can go on even she's almost fainted😭 THIS WE CALLED THE REAL QUEENS👑

Actually, a fan requested them to dance in 2x speed in ROUGH, that was the 1st ever 2x speed dance they did and they made it into a super popular segment which other groups did later on. So proud of them and miss them so much. 💔
Yerin’s mic LITERALLY DROPPED IN MID PERFORMANCE. In the Navillera dance by the way, and it didn’t stop her. She kept dancing, that’s literally so professional.
There’s also an incredible gfriend 2X speed melody they performed. It’s pretty much all of these songs performed at 2X speed in a mix. It’s amazing how they keep up and stay in sync.
The most unbelievable 2x speed dance is when GFRIEND performed that random 2x speed MEDLEY back in Sept 2017 in Weekly Idol... They appeared in episodes 321 & 322 because they failed the first time but returned to redeem their honor.... PLUS, that first run through was intentional for an immediate failure. The stakes were financially risky had they won. Lol. Rest assured they got SOMETHING on the second attempt. However, I don't think any other groups have succeeded like GFRIEND had done after that. I mean, 2X SPEED RANDOM MEDLEY?!?! That's guaranteed LEGEND status forsure!!
Great to see you react to their 2x dance. Honestly, this was done for entertainment only but one can't help but impressed by their composure, discipline and stamina. Like you said, it gives us energy every time we see it. The entire Gfriend crew is superb but SinB really stood out as the main dancer in 2X for me.

Rough was the 1st of this kind of challenges on Weekly Idol. It was a fan-request and after that they continuously came with new songs doing it in 2x. They even did Random Play Dance were the songs switch every so often to a random part of another song and they succeeded doing it in 2x. You saw it right, they have proud in their dancing and Yuju is competitive so no half-dancing for her. You should check some other 2x dances as well. Seventeen are crazy, NCT, Red Velvet and Got7 were amazing too and there are many others
