There is a version of Forscan that can update control units (hard to obtain). I am unsure if this current version has the capability (I am no longer working with Ford vehicles and have no access to one to try)
Hi SY, great video, very clear and easy to follow. Apologised for the lengthy query that follows, but I notice that after plugging the vLinker into your laptop, a message popped up saying that the device was being set up, then a second message saying that it had been set up. When I plugged mine in, I only got the first message, but not the second. Having checked the USB Controllers in Device Manager, while the vLinker cable was still plugged into my laptop, there appears to be a new icon called 'USB Serial Converter' (which disappears when the cable is removed, and then reappears when plugged back in - I assume this is normal). However, when I double-click into the 'USB Serial Converter' icon, although the details in the 'General' tab say that 'this device is working properly' the details on the 'Events' tab show 3 entries - Device started (FTDIBUS), Device configured (oem2.inf) and Device configured (null) - It's the last one with '(null)' that concerns me. Would you be kind enough to check the details in your USB Serial Converter 'Event' tab to see if you also have the same '(null)' entry that I do (if so, then it doesn't appear that I have a problem, but if you don't, then I may have a problem and may have to uninstall the FTDI drivers and download (but not install) them for a third time). I hope this makes sense, but if not, please let me know and I will try to explain my query clearer. Thank you in advance, Shaun.
I done exactly what you said but it's asking for a secondary bootloader when i try and backup the main bcm, it can't load it from the internet and won't do anything, help please I'm losing the will to live

Better off buying this adapter as some of the elm connectors wont find some modules
Yes. It's not let me down and no silly toggle switch for can networks either
