Fraser Connell It’s okay! I giggled at the references to ghost sex that you added- I’m surprised that it’s never been addressed in the other Ghostbusters movies or the comics.
I actually did learn the answer to this recently, vis-a-vis monkeys at the aquarium. it's because they live in rainforests, and that ecosystem is directly linked to the ocean. it does still seem kinda odd, but that's what the penguin lady told me and it does makes sense
DOES it make sense? What does it mean that the rainforest is "directly linked" to the ocean? Technically ALL ecosystems are directly linked to the ocean.
@@Ladililn The reason is that aquariums, terrariums and jungle exhibits all require advanced climate and temperature control in closed environments, so it makes sense they'd be under the same roof and that an aquarium would be able to host a monkey jungle. Also monkeys just like looking at fish.
Yes, this was a great animation with cool background jokes... ...but I cannot get past how all three of these educated men think primates don’t have thumbs.
This is seriously outstanding. The shapes of their mouths as they speak is unbelievable! The way the teeth touch the bottom lip whenever there’s an “f” in a word! It’s so meticulous and thoughtful. It’s a really good party trick if anything. “Hey I bet you 20$ I can summon monkeys.” Everyone goes silent because of this ridiculous statement. People laugh and throw 20s in a pile. Then, a la Cris Angel, you have a big dramatic preamble to you saying after a long inhale, “dorito”. And 30 assorted monkeys break down every door and window in the place, beat you to a pulp, leave, then you pass go and collect 200$. Go on America’s got talent. Become a famous busker. Genius.
I've been watched a lot of these videos lately and it seems more and more like The McElroy brothers are just differently-pitched versions of one another.
I’m so glad that I’m pretty sure I know the exact monkey mountain park that Griffin is talking about, and can attest to the many signs telling you that the monkeys will attack you if you even look at them wrong.
Work in there with a costume for a month, be like employee of the month material, become a beloved attraction to the tourists But you have the money for a second costume, rough it up, stain it with ketchup. One day just leave this beaten up costume on the floor of the enclosure with the head hanging from a branch. Don't really have an end game for this but yeah, freak some people out!
How do you have time to make these?! Practice self care, take care of yourself but also, that pixelated battle scene was really cool and you crushed it dude!
My favourite part of these animatics is seeing the jokes that the animator miss-interprets, or sometimes, just completely misses. It's really interesting to see how other breakdown the same media differently
They missed such a clear opportunity for a "firearms" joke! Anyway, amazing animation! I can't imagine how much work it must've taken you to make eleven minutes, especially with so much detail. The mouth movement during dialogue was spot on, and I love your animation style! I'm always hyped to see your videos show up on my recommended list. You're awesome! :^)
Oof! I've never been this early. You're one of my favorites. Thanks so much for such a looooong video! Top notch work as always, bud. ^-^ The Griffin fight scene is so good!
I felt like I was having some kind of stroke when I listened to this, since as a Texan, I... literally know the exact, precise place they're talking about! When I lived in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for a couple years, the Blue Reef Aquarium in Tynemouth, with its unexpected but extensive tiny monkey exhibit. Like, so many marmosets for an aquarium.
they're right about monkeys being very ready to do anything for human food. i used to go to a school that was near a forest and had lots of trees in it, and lots of monkeys - mostly marmosets, in fact, but some bigger ones too. and one time a monkey (of the bigger type, a little bigger than a cat maybe?) stole my friend's iced tea through the classroom window while she wasn't looking, just put its paw in there while climbing/jumping past and took it away. they're very smart, but they largely use that intelligence to figure out how to steal our food
The facial expressions seem a little static, but the lip movements are spot on and your style is really endearing! I really love the Marmosets versus Griffin sequence. Keep it up, can't wait to see more!
Literally my favorite moment. and you got 10 minutes of it. I know this is from a year ago and i've already watched it a million times but I wanted to say you're the only animatic that gets recommended to me because i don't watch anything other than you, Fraser Connell.
Me actually having to look up "what primates have opposable thumbs." I got duped for just a second into forgetting something I've known my entire life that most monkeys have thumbs.
The Denver Aquarium has tigers for some reason. They don't look super happy there and I'm not for large animals in such a small place. Just make another fish tank, or use the very big area for sharks.
Very good! The filter you have going over the vector at-the-table animations is really good but maybe a tad distracting? Absolutely loved the pixelated parts
