Mixed feelings about it. I was extremely impressed and happy but at the same time it looked weak. The damage it dealt and the way it looked was as if it’s a low or mid tier Kido. Pretty subtle, but love how well he and Momo work together. She healed him earlier and here against Gerard he keeps protecting her and relying on her kido skills. There is also some playful banter here and there like the Soifon joke,

It was a literal firecracker compared to the sizeable explosion Urahara's own use of Hado #91 made, though (which to be fair is pretty natural, since its an incantation less high-numbered Kidō cast by a shinigami, that doesn't speciallize in it). Talk about a minimalist approach.
Let's all appreciate how Pierrot didn't turn Gerard into CGI as a giant. We all know how studios like doing CGI for these type of situations due to limited budgets or whatnot.

Saying the name of a power does matter in Bleach. It is more powerful when you say it out loud. Her Bankai is hard to use anyway, because she depends on other people around to cover her while she attacks.
I mean, Bleach is probably one of the only series where announcing the name is actually practical.

You always have to call your bankai name out lol. There hasn't been a single moment in bleach where somebody has used their bankai without saying the name. Your thinking of shikai. You don't have to call out your shikai name but only if you have achieved bankai
