Bobby Hatfield, stealing hearts 58 years later. Attaboy Bobby, RIP.
60 years ago without any computer technologies and another. Real voice, real singer, real sing. Real music. Real soul.
And a live audience AND live orchestra!!!
Real talent
Absolutely! Nice to see our current generation (X, Y and Z) can appreciate a genre that predates us.
🤡
And yet…so unreal!!
Here it is 50 some odd years after he sang this song and the girls are STILL swooning over him lol 😂
A million years from now this will still be the GOLD standard for this song.
So true!! Atta boy Bobby!
Yesterday's music vs today's junk.
Ok boomer
BLah
Music from previous eras ? Stellar and exceptional. Today music ? Talentless noise being regurgitated by vocally-deficienct douchebags who have to rely on autotune
@@valeria262Chill zoomie
Ok boomer
Some consider this to be the greatest live solo performance ever. I just think it’s epic and I feel fortunate that the video is available for us to watch and enjoy 58 years later. How cool is that?
AND YOU ARE RIGHT, IT IS THE GREATEST!!
Allegedly he had a cold too which would be funny
Agree 100%
SO COOOOOOL 😊
Truly magical
Remember this was done on 1 take because of live audience
And once again, I witness Bobby Hatfield just steal a beautiful woman's heart.
This rendition is the best sung song. EVER! EVER!!!
It would be hard to name anything better ... absolutely magic
Some music nerd counted that Bobby hit 64 separate and distinct notes during that performance. For a high tenor, that's a lot.Side note: Every woman who watches this video falls in love within the first 15 seconds.
There's a little grin at the end where he KNOWS he's nailed it!
One of the greatest live performances of all time. Period.
Back then we had the best music, hair, clothes and cars
One of the great voices of all time. RIP Bobby
Style was called "Blue-eyed Soul."
The wink at the end it shows that he knows he nailed it
He has one of the best voices ever
Agree with you!!!! 😍
And remember this was LIVE TV back in1965.. RIP Bobby.
Bobby's mom was in the crowd, mom had to be proud, a complete MASTERPIECE.
You as a vocalist would appreciate this fact, when Bobby did this Live on TV, he had a heavy head cold, and his mother was in the audience, so he wanted to get it right. He did, he nailed it!!! RIP Bobby, and thank you. 💞
You know you still have it when you're dead and you're still stealing girls heart😂😂
Bobby Hatfield: a voice sent from heaven for all of us to hear.
This performance has been amazing people for almost 60 years..
This may be the best live performance ever.
Oh yes, agree with you he is sounding very good 👍😘🥰
Bobby sang this on the Andy Williams TV show, later he said he was a little nervous because his Mom was sitting behind him in the audience. You will also like Bobby and Bill singing - You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'.
He also had a head cold.
Awesome song. Miss them big time. I'm 74years old so I remember them well
That just makes this performance sweeter. He wanted to show off for his mother and went into God Mode.
I think Bobby just melted Emma's heart, she's a fan now.
I agree with you ❤️🥰
@@SingwithEmmatoday "You'll Never Walk Alone" and "Summertime."
Took about .9 seconds.
lol
It's fun to watch people 35 and younger listen to this tune. It's probably the first time in their lives they've heard real singing. Real music.
This song raised the birth rate by 50% in the next 10 months
Possible the greatest love song ever written
Absolutely
RIP Bobby. The voice of an angel.
This performance can make anyone fall in love. Timeless. Perfect.
After this song was done, the population grew by 100%. Vietnam bound, promises, vows spoken, hearts broken. this was one of the most listened to songs of all times.
There comes a time in most songs, where a certain artist owns it, this is one of those times!
Simply magnificent performance from a truly gifted singer 👏👏👏
Pure magic 👍
This was done with out any musical/voice enhancement. Amazing he did it live on TV, great job Bobby.
You said "his highest register " about a minute in . Baby , this man is a savage with octaves. A true musical wordsmith. RIP BOBBY .
the greatest performance in history .
The voice of Bobby Is magical
He just breaks hearts 💕
at 61 I truly believe i was blessed to hear the best music ever recorded & performed when I was young.
at 69...ditto ditto ditto
@@alfredpuglisi134172!
Just love when youngins finally hear our music..... 1965
My late wife and I saw the Righteous Brothers perform at the University of Florida in the late 60s. Their concert was pure magic.
The very best!!!!!!!!!
Listen to the Righteous Bros. sing “You lost that Lovin Feelin.” They both are so excellent & harmonize so well together!❤❤
I never get tired of hearing this song. They were the greatest duo ever.
The Everly Brothers might have something to say about that
An amazing talent. RIP Bobby. We miss you!
Go Bobby, you’re the greatest vocalist of the 1960’s, for those that lived it, it was the best of times, the girls just wanted to be treated with this level of respect 😅
One of the greatest singing performance ever! Heaven on earth beyond belief of this man!
Beautiful song and voice. Good looking man. Raw talent.
Mr. Hatfield had the voice of an angel. R.I.P. legend
Bobby's beautiful solo here. His studio version was used in Ghost 25 years later. Highly recommend seeing the duo sing You've Lost That Loving Feeling.
Welcome to the era of "Blue Eyed Soul"! Emma, try "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" where Bobby and Bill sing together.....WOW!
I would love to see singers today do this song in one take live with no auto tune
I can still remember seeing this show on tv & it is as stunning now as it was then.
Such an angelical voice...........
Just about every woman who listens to this falls madly in love 🥰
Aww Bobby Hatfield ❤... Arguably the greatest live solo performance of all time... Still making panties moist nearly 60 years later ❤
Yeah you know it...
Lol im a huge metal head. Amd this performance honestly brings a tear to my eye
Another girls heart melted by Bobby! 2 million and counting............
The women love it everytime.
RIP Bobby.... the greatest contemory tenor in our time...
Truly amazing singing from the 60’s without auto tune or other voice support.
Great reaction Emma! He is a top notch professional singer and you mentioned how prepared he was to sing that song. I think you’re exactly right
Once in awhile an amazing artist comes along, and I’m so glad you recognized it and commented on it.
This has always has been the most romantic song to me. Just beautiful. ❤️
They were both so professional talented and stylish! Outstanding talent!
I agree about "You've Lost that Loving Feeling." Absolutely the best example of their talents.
Bobby was a very intelligent person and a talented baseball, football and basketball player. He could have signed a professional baseball contract but elected to go into singing. He met Bill Medley in college.
He didn’t meet Bill in college, Bill didn’t finish high school. They met through a mutual musical friend.
Best song ever from thetime when music was music.
Yep, and he did it LIVE!!!😊
I enjoy watching someone appreciate his amazing voice.
Bobby Hatfield's voice always did mesmerize me. And he was pretty easy on the eyes too!
You should check out his version of a song called Ebb Tide, the ending.......whew!
Nearly 60 years later, and Bobby is still making women melt. Along with "You've Lost that Loving Feeling", check out "Soul and Inspiration" as well as another of Bobby's amazing solos, "Summertime".
This is how angels sing.
Nice reaction Emma
Still so epic masterpiece, one of the best in time...🇸🇪
Bobby Hatfield was beyond good. The guy had a masterful voice and deliverance in his performances. Imagine, this song here was recorded life in a tv studio. 👏
That little grin at the end - he knew he'd nailed it!
Most definitely have to recommend more of The Righteous Brothers. They have always been both a very classic and class act.
This song is integral to the movie ‘Ghost’ with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore!
Another male singer that was known for his fantastic range in the 60’s was Roy Orbison. Angelina Jordan just re-did this cover last month in a live concert
The sold out show ended with this song and a standing ovation. Going way back to the late 50’s Andy Williams covered this song and years later had Bobby H sing this on his weekly tv show.
It is time for Republic Records to step up and start promoting Angelina who will be 18 January 10, 2024
I am so thankful that he did the live performance on the Andy Williams Show. It's my favorite recording & I love tons of music. Iconic.
Bobby still is able to astonish today's listeners, with his talent. I am glad I was able to listen to him, when he and Bill were singing. I feel sorry for today's youth, who never got to see them.
Pure, raw and awesome.
Overlooked is Andy Williams reaction to the performance. Williams was a top regared singer at time and he quietly nods and offers Hatfield his hand in congradulation.
I love your reaction to the most perfect voice I' ve heard
Most requested song of the 20th century. The original is from the movie "Unchained" performed by the songwriter. Hauntingly beautiful.
It was composed by Alex North with lyrics by Hy Zaret. In the movie, it was sung by opera singer (baritone), actor & professor, Todd Duncan.
@@Aurora-tp3dy Ah, thanks for clarification.
The most requested song of the 20th century was "You've lost that Lovin' Feeling". This is the most covered song ... and this version was the most requested in 1990, the year 'Ghost' was released.
@@zanhar7688 Dang! Missed two for two. I used to have a good memory. Keep up the good work .
@@olddog330 😁👍
He did this Live in front of His Sister & Mother who were there,
In my mind it's a greatest love song ever sang. Best music forever never die
and yes, the beautiful songs are behind us unfortunately.
I do consider Bobby Hatfield to be one of the greatest and most underrated singers in history. Thus is the best live performance ever!!!! And he was gorgeous also!!!
How can one who’s praised 60 years later for his talent be “underrated”?
This is 'The Gold Standard' rendition of the song and has never been matched
by another male singer. On the female side, Angelina Jordan had originally stayed
'spot on' with Hadfield's arrangement when she was younger, but her latest rendition
with her being 17 at her recent concert in Hew Hampshire takes it up a notch from
her younger rendition. She brings a 'fresh' jazz inspired element to the point where
the standing ovation she received is well deserved. I place it 2nd to only this rendition
by Bobby.
Hi there beautiful Wonderful singer thanks Emma
This is the fifth in the top- ten of most played songs around the world, only behind Yesterday ( Paul McCartney), You've lost that loving feeling ( Righteous Brothers ), White Christmas and Happy birthday to you.
I shed tears every time I hear this. It's my #1 of all time.
Amazing how all of these reaction videos are all listening to some of the greatest songs of all time 'for the first time' 😂
Nice reaction. Bobby was
amazing. I think you gonna love one of the best songs they have: "You've Lost That Loving Feeling". The video from 1964 it's the best to react.
I will check it out
Perfection nothing else need be said!!!!!
This was my first time watching . The song and you are beautiful!
Thank you!!!!🤩
BOTH OF THESE BROTHERS ARE ONE AS GREAT AS THE OTHER !!!
Listen to the Righteous Brothers sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” on the Ed Sullivan Show…incredible!!
