I bought this device last year to deter loose pitbulls and one german shepperd all over my area when walking, it only worked on the german shepperd but none of those pitbulls backed off, waste of my money. I had to give up walking.
I like the dogs that are cool with you. It baffles me how some dogs can see the same person every day and still bark at them. Clearly some dogs are smarter than others.

Its not irrational. My own dog was biting me. It was given to me as a gift when i was a kid. I didnt know how to train him properly due to my age and he turned out to be acting as an alpha. Dogs have their own psychology, they are not humans but people do treat them like humans,their fur babies. I babied my dog so it turned against me.

That's great. Some dogs, no matter how long you have been feeding them treats every week, just still don't like us. Got bit one time, knocked on door and mother put dog away. 3 min later, 6 year old opened back door for the dog not knowing I was there... the dog came after me and we both ended up in the pool. Fortunately I was the better swimmer. He did get 3 bites out of me. unfortunately, he was put down and I did not go after homeowners as I felt they lost enough. As annoying as some dogs can be, they are still family to people. If I had one then it coulda been a completely different outcome.
That is a tough story for sure. Sadly it happens all the time. I had a huge Doberman Pinscher on my route for a few years and he was very friendly with me. I stilled carried this device just in case. When they moved recently the dog had a short circuit in the brain. I heard he lost it and literally took a ladies face off. Had to be put down. You never know. 😯

I live in a SRO and three people have decided to have pitbulls living in this building. The problem and scary part is that these rooms are so small!! You can use it in your pocket. I do on certain accounts. Just aim it slightly through your pocket. Works well up to about 20 ft. I've seen smaller devices on amazon also that do the same thing.

It works from inside your jacket or pant pocket. No need to take it out ant point it. The sound will travel through your clothes just fine. I do it when I don't want the customer to know I am using it. The device is harmless to the dog but I know some clients may be bothered by me using it on their pets. In your case I would just carry it all all times in my pocket in case one of these dogs actually tries to come at you. I wouldn't use it until then.
Call the Housing dept and report, say you are living in hazard place. and call the animal control too. I bet the landlord does not know somebody is sneaking questionnable dogs and besides I don't think landlord allows more than 1 dog per apt.. It's common sense.
They can be tough. If they are scared or barking at another dog their instinct takes over and the ultrasonic sound will just irritate them more. A tough, tough breed.

I know. They were crying and barking at the same time but the device allowed me to escape. Same thing just happened this week again at the same account. You can hear them crying from the discomfort and still barking. But, on my other barking dogs this thing work like a charm. Those two dogs are pretty fierce. They have even broken through the screen door.

it's not effective for dogs over 8 years old , like old human ,old dogs couldn't hear some sounds Dazer is a good device ,made in USA , but recent years there are several good Chinese brand available for sale much cheaper (cheaper than 10$ ones not recommended but 10-20$ working great)
It is pretty effective. Haven't had a failure yet. Some dogs dislike it more than others. I think it depends on how good the dogs hearing is. The older the dog the least effective it seems.

Ultrasonic circuits available on the net or you could hook up a big amp to a good tweeter that can handle frequencies above 20 kHz.
Maybe the amperage and an array of the ultra sonic emmiter electronics, but you might be limited to the actual battery.
We use these for amazon delivery they do not work on all dogs .

It's the cheap factory 9V battery. Gotta replace that at the start. And deaf dogs as well. Only works if the dog can hear it.
@@SPL thanks I’m desperate to try anything. I was a pool guy btw that greatly exacerbated my fear of dogs . Now I’m trying to walk for exercise in my area and people just don’t see the problem with unleashed dogs running up to everyone and doing their business everywhere.
